It would have been a new PR but there was a car blocking the entrance to turn 3 and there was a corvette under the bridge so I held back in turn 12. Should have been a 1:25.9. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Not my fastest session, but definitely the most fun. Played a little cat and mouse with a well driven GT3 (possible instructor as there were two people in the car). Track conditions were challenging as it was very slippery due to a hot day. Temps were about 95*F and lots of humidity. Power was also down. Track surface felt similar to how it was before the repave. Nevertheless, it was still a go...

Cracked another 1:26. I would have clocked a couple more throughout the day, but traffic played a part. Going over all the data, my theoretical best lap is a 1:26.3x. So, the fact that I'm running close to my theoretical best lap tells me that I'm on the limit. I'll need to find something different if I hope to go faster. Great video I recently visited NJMP for the first time and used your video to learn the track, fantastic driving, much faster than I could manage 😂. What mods do you have?
Thanks man. My car is mostly stock, other than the flex fuel sensor, and a spare set of Apex wheels with sticky tires on them. I swapped out the sway bar links for sturdier BMR links, and I have the BMR toe rods as the OEM eccentric toe rods go out of adjustment frequently. That's pretty much it. The car is very capable straight from the factory.
Great driving as always man! What do you think of the ZR1? It’s an absolute technological monster for sure, though I can only imagine how consumables hungry it’ll be on track.
I'm on the list for the ZR1. If it's not too expensive I'll likely pick it up, and I do plan to track it. It'll definitely be a handful. More car than anyone can ever imagine. I'll probably be the only one beating on it.
@@Turbo329 You probably will be, at least for quite a while. It’ll be interesting to see just how much faster it’ll truly be compared to a Z06/Z07 on courses that don’t offer too many opportunities to deploy that power.
This video helped. Thank you. But watch the clamp position. From Innovation manual “Do NOT install the Bung below the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position. Condensation can form in the exhaust pipe and permanently damage the sensor. 6 o’clock is the absolute worst position to mount the sensor.
Feels like these ZX9Rs are so quick they'll do the whole dash in 6 seconds but then take 35 seconds to stop lol i love this bike, total monster!
Hey man did you ever run into any problems after this mod how many miles did it last before a problem ?
No problems at all. Ran great up until I sold it.
No problems at all. Ran great up until I sold it.
Fantastic channel. Im also in love with my zx7r. Amazing bike!! Greeting from Denmark.
Thank you!
I can see you were pushing harder on lap when you let me by. Entrance speeds greater.
Yeah, I wanted to see what I could learn from you before you picked up the pace.
Great, thanks for the video.
Good meeting you yd man! That thing is quick for its weight and being basically a street car. Looks pretty well mannered on track. That blue m3 sounds pretty good too..hahaha
Nice meeting you bro! That last session made the day worthwhile because morning kinda sucked. You guys drove great. Great job pressuring Raf into a mistake! Hahahahaha I love the ZL1-1LE. I can go rip at the track, take my daughter on weekend rides, commute, and take the old lady out for a drink. One day I will have to pony up the cash and get a dedicated race car and flatbed it to the track. We’re really on that type of pace now. Given how capable the ZL1 is from the factory, that thing should have a roll cage.
Good stuff as always brother!
Thanks!
nice.....it was BRUTAL out there yesterday. I couldn't last past session 4. 1:34 was best I could do. We didn't get a chance to chat! next time
Which car was yours? The Green one or the Blue one? Those things were nice!
1:34 is moving pretty good. You should be in advanced. You'll pick up time following the faster nut jobs.
@@Turbo329 thx. Blue w/ white stripes. My buddy had the green
@@Turbo329 traffic held us back in intermediate there was a mini and a few others that just didn’t give point by’s. Can’t stand that. If you’re approaching my ass, I let you by, I don’t want anybody tailgating me lol
I'll be there on Labor Day, Sept 2nd. If you want, I'll ask MoE to let you guys in for an Evaluation. I'll vouch for you if you like and we'll have an instructor tail you. Outright speed isn't all that important in Advanced Group. Awareness is the #1 trait we look for.
Hey. What power mods if any do you have? Didn't you have a white Camaro??
I had a heavily modded white one (2021) and traded it in September of last year. This one is a 2022 and is stock motor. I changed out small things like sway bar links, toe rods, and added a flex fuel sensor but that's all. I'm faster in this car because I think my driving improved.
@@Turbo329 Nice. What tires were you on (that were done)? Hoosiers? You look pretty fast.
For this season, I've been running Pirelli DH slicks take-offs on the Apex 18" wheels. I've been managing to get 2-3 days out of them.
@@Turbo329 That's all? 2-3 days? Ouch. lol I was down close to 10mph on the front straight yesterday in that heat but managed a new PB despite that. I'm on Pirellis also and I am finally starting to trust them...but mine are close to done as well.
3 days at most. I do one day on the set. Then I swap the rights with the lefts. Then for the 3rd day I flip the tires on the fronts. Mine were corded pretty good yesterday.
Nice. On a hot day too. I’ll be out there on 15th, you going?
Thanks. I'm mulling over the 15th. The forecast is showing that it's supposed to be another scorcher of a day.
Nate is my pleasure meeting you!! I try so hard to get one of my local buddies to go with me and never seems to happen so it's great to have track buddies!
Thanks! I know the feeling. My closest friends never seem to want to commit. They're really missing out. Hey, quick question: What camber are you running on your Camaro? I'm at -2.7 in the front and -2.0 in the rear. I'm wondering if I need to go up to around -3.2 in the fronts to get a little more grip in the octopus.
@@Turbo329 as much as suspension clearance will allow. 3.7 F and 3.5 R
my bad! 2.75 R
@@nickyturboboy Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I’m running 2.7 F and 2.0 rear. I definitely need to throw some more camber at it.
Love these bikes
this was awesome dude. you do really damn well on them turns. if you don't mind me mentioning, there are a few ways for camera stabilization whether its a camera itself, an accessories, or a software, just for better quality since the car shakes so much. but ill watch either way, glad this was recommended to me!
Thanks! For some reason, I had my headrest mount unclamped and it was a little more shaky than usual. You're absolutely right, there is stabilization that can settle the vids but I'm not a fan of it because it makes the vids appear slower. I prefer the rattle of the camera because it maintains its element of speed and you can almost feel the turbulence in the cabin. Test my theory...... watch a vid with stabilization, and then come back to watch mine. My vid will appear much faster. I appreciate you watching! Thanks for commenting as well.
@@Turbo329 i have watched a good portion, some people that stabilize and some that don’t. i don’t have a serious preference but i do lightly prefer the stable one. i agree though, shaky cam does make it look faster and is more realistic to how you feel in the car.
@@SuperRespect88 You do make a good point tho. Maybe next time I will mix it up. I do a vid with stabilization and another with it turned off.
@@Turbo329 that’d be sick, i’ll for sure tune in. thanks for talking!

No point by group looks like a lot of fun gives me real racing vibes. Good laps!
It was crazy fun! Adds a bit of adrenaline to the session. The nice thing about it is that they are very strict about who they allow into the group so once you get there you know you can trust pretty much everyone.
Looking good!
Thanks!
I mean... it is a Camaro lol. Be happy you can see out the front
The blind spots in the car are crazy.
I know how you feel brother. Our Camaros are just so unbelievably wide and low that it’s hard sometimes to judge depth and distance! I’ll feel like I’m an inch away from scraping the front fascia against something when maneuvering in a tight space, or that I’m a lot further over one way on the road than I really am.
It will definitely take some time to wrap my head around getting closer to the curbing.
100%….I was in exact same situation last year until buddy of mine did chase video to examine my lines. I combined the video to really show the difference perspective makes czcams.com/video/SyI7958eLg0/video.html

Slicks?
@@rizahmed3660 Yes, I had slicks in this video. The GT3 RS was on Hoosiers if I recall correctly.
Awesome driving, car seems very stable.
It's pretty flat until things start to heat up. Overall, I think the car works better in the cooler temps.
There are definitely a lot of damn good ZLE drivers on CZcams, but you absolutely stand out in how you consistently wring that monster’s neck. Awesome driving, sir! This really just continues to show how much of a dominant, oppressive weapon the ZL1 1LE is on track, when you can keep pace with a 992 GT3 RS in real life, not just looking at spec sheets and lap times. The Z06/Z07 is a machine, but THIS is GM’s most hardcore track car, full stop.
Thanks man! Honestly, I need to muster some more courage and try this again with all the Traction Control nannies off. Supposedly, even in Race-2 PTM mode it’s still restrictive, and I can honestly feel the hesitation coming off of the corners when the car is not completely straight. With the TC off, I hope to pick up another 1-2 seconds per lap.
@@Turbo329 That’s interesting, especially with how aggressive Race-2 is, that it’s still pulling/managing a bit of power and torque coming out of turns. I don’t doubt that you’ll pick up a solid 2 seconds per lap once you’ve gotten comfortable enough with everything off!
@@danieldickerson4838 Yeah ,it’s true. You might recall that Car and Driver said the same thing in their 2017 ZL1-1LE Lightning Lap article. At first I didn’t notice it, but now that I’m at the fast-er(est) end of the group I can feel it.
@@Turbo329 Ahh yep, I do remember seeing that in their VIR video. PTM is so good that it’s almost *too* good when you’re an advanced driver.
Looks great, but the first F4 one hell of bad built MV literally everything falls off or breaks on the bike before it hits 10K.

Pulled up on the vette like "guess who's back" 😂
It was definitely a fun session and I was running a mix of E85 so it probably landed around E40. I got right up on his bumper a couple of times and I knew he would punch it when the road straightened up. In all fairness, I do the same thing before I give a wave by. If I put distance between us and you close it down, I'm giving you the point by. My passenger got nervous a couple of times when we closed up on him. By the time I got up to the Z06 towards the end of the vid, my brake pads started to fade. So I waved him back around on the lap that I pitted. I think for me this was the best session of the day.
@Turbo329 always fun to watch! From the 7x7r to this, thank you for the views.
@@thomasmartinez3791 Thanks brother!
170 is wild, was that during tri-oval?
Yeah. That was the last session coming off of NASCAR Turn 3. It was my first time running it so I was actually taking it easy.
@@Turbo329 Nice, lot of power in that car. I didn't bother running with the pace car in group B. I don't think my car has much over 160 in it with the current gearing.
You'd be surprised. Get a good drive onto the straight and catch the draft from the car in front of you, and you could potentially see another 10mph up top.
I have watched all the zx7r serie. Now I am back at episode 1 and I am ready to put my 2000 zx7r back together. The parts are in ziplocks and boxes. You gave the motivation to restore my bike. Thank you for the videos. They are very informative. Btw, did you the "awesome" degreaser pure or you diluted in water (what ratio?). Also did you use a sonicator?
Thanks for the kind words. Honestly, for the engine cases I used degreaser and a pressure washer if I recall correctly.

Having a problem with idle after installing flash and bov and block off plates I’m curious do you think that’s a vacuum issue? Flash was done by Yagerwerx I’d love ur feed back Ty
Sounds like it could be a vacuum issue somewhere. I’d take it back to Travis and have him take another look.

Mine is a 2005 F4-1000S
I have a 2001 E11/ E2. Gotta say I really dreamed of having a fast bike from a young age. Never thought it would be a Kawasaki! Though when legal, at 16-20, my obsession became enduro bikes. It was much cheaper at that time. I liked that mix, off and on the road! Having a family that owned bikes was obviously for me, a massive influence. I have to say that the ZX9 is absolutely beautiful. I'm an old-school carburettor bike rider. I've never owned a bike with ABS, traction control, and all that jazz! (Slack Jaw Faggots)😂! Seriously, the ZX9 is ridiculously insane! A bike that will be very unforgiving if you don’t give her the respect she deserves. An absolute dream when you gel with her❤ We met in 2006. I fell in love during the test ride. Feisty, a keeper.
I really like the idea of a 750. Wow.
I always fit a 50 micron inline fuel filter. For winter storage I run my carbs dry, remove fuel pipe and fill carbs with 10:1 gas oil ratio. When the gas evaporates it leaves a nice coating of oil on all the carburettor parts which stops varnish or ethanol damage.
Po každém zásahu do karburátorů je nutné seřízení podtlaků ( synchronizace) a bohatost ! ( synchronizace se dělá každých 10.000 km)
Batman rode it too
That always helps
I like this guy why he don;t have more subs
Is listening to music while on the track a normal thing?
Not really. I just happened to have the iPhone on during this session.
What I've noticed on mine is play when cold ,no play when hot after long fast ride? I think it's heat expansion tolerance, try it again not on paddock stand jacked up on suspension linkage? I'm sure mine is getting worse I'm on around 5000miles, I've watched a vid of another same milage, on utube and his needle bearing was bone dry? I'm sure this play throws the high speed cornering out!.thanks for vid I'm.not the only one with this quandary. 😅
Flying man! 🔥 how much time difference do you think between dh pirelli and Goodyear 3rs?
I'm not sure yet. I went back yesterday to run the 3Rs but the track was ice cold and I couldn't get heat into them. I drove terribly as a result. In the morning it was sunny but only 40*F. In the afternoon it was 50*F but overcast so the track actually got worse in spite of the higher ambient temp. At some point later this season I will head back with both sets of wheels and do a comparison on the same day. When I ran that 1:26 lap I actually didn't go thru turns 1 & 3 as fast as I normally can. I believe I can probably clock a high 1:24 when I'm all dialed in with clear track. I will say this though...... Although the track is grippier, the stiff ZLE suspension works better now because of the smooth surface without bumps. I was able to get the power down all through the 2nd half of the track where I was weak in the past. It's now honestly time to start thinking about a custom full cage. 1:19 - 1:26 range is Trans Am race times.
@@Turbo329 yea I can imagine the smoother track helps, I need to get back there and try it for myself. Yea I’m sure a 1.24 is possible based off other cars times on slick scrubs.
