@@Sathish_Speaks_ PE is based on the current earning. At 25 PE, ITC can't be called expensive at all. Sector PE for FMCG is around 50.
Agree! The stock is highly undervalued. Assuming a future cash flow growth of even 8% CAGR (FMCGs generally grow higher) and a 10 year horizon, anything below 450 is a compelling deal. 400 and below is a steal considering we are getting everything - tobacco, food, stationery, hotels (also don’t forget hotels demerger), fmcg and a small IT business as well. British American Tobacco have said they wont offload more than 4% to retain influence. Nevertheless whatever they are going to do i believe shouldn’t matter in the long run as that doesn’t fundamentally change ITC business / strategy. BATC is in a critical position now for want of cash flows and the projections of lower cigarette consumption in west through the next decades.
India is still quite a few more decades behind the west in the growing anti-smoking culture and ITC is already positioning itself as a diversified conglomerate. Great business, massive supply chain network, professional management and talent pool of employees. Overall, a good time to slowly accumulate especially if you have a 10 year investment horizon

How do you tell ITC has an expensive valuation? Look at its peers like Nestle,HUL,Dabur,Marico,Adani wilmar, Britannia these are names of companies who has an valuation of 40-60 times their earnings meanwhile, look at ITC’s PE and still you say it has an non fair valuation, sounds illogical.
