I was totally caught off guard when you came in with the worship application with cornerstone but as a worship player, I wouldn't be complaining if you added more of those in your videos :)
Good thoughts on being dogmatic. Too many cling to the side of the theoretical “pool” because they’re afraid of being “wrong.” Miles is famous for making one of Herbie’s “wrong” notes in a chord right. Just be free and experiment.
Play by ear !! There is more to taht buta anyway who needs to understand music theory when you can just mash keys and hope for the best? Next time I'll skip reading and just try to eat my way through a book. Brilliant strategy!... But seriously, understanding music theory helps you create and appreciate the subtleties of music, not just consume it. But hey, if you prefer fast food over a gourmet meal, that's your choice!😂
I do have a bias to methodize things because i am teaching them and it helps to systematize and categorize when trying to impart knowledge. Of course ear training and intuition have a huge place in music
@@RobertMonroeMusic Nothing wrong with that. Just in music it will have you setting it up a certain way and depending on style that way may not work but if you dont know much else its going to show

I wouldn't say the only shape you need. Also ear train. Yall do things from "method based. In music it goes past that
