  • An inspiring pheasant hunting film over American Brittany's in the heart of Washington farm country. Pheasant hunting is an american passion for many upland hunters and Stan has been at it his whole adult life. From catching pigeons in grain silos to riding horseback behind his bird dogs he epitomizes a passion for bird hunting.

      nah, even at the point he is in his life, he is sorely lacking in what is important. he needs to add CRT and white guilt and sexual/gender identity awareness , more forced diversity in his daily doings.
      i'm kidding. It's VERY admirable that he lives a full rich rewarding life enjoying life.

    If Heaven is a hundred times better than anything on earth this video reminds me of how wonderful it will be. My Brittany is asleep at my feet dreaming of the bird he got today. Nice video. Just think God knows where ever bird is an how many feathers is on each one of them. Jesus is Lord

    Love the video, I'm an avid big game hunter but there is nothing I look forward to more in the fall than opening of bird season so my brittany and I can start chasing birds together. Your comment about how if the dogs weren't involved it probably wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable. Even if we get skunked I just love watching my dog work, he truly is at his happiest when chasing birds.

      I have to say I'm in the same boat. I've often turned an elk or deer hunt into a bird hunt. I've put a lot of bulls and bucks in the freezer but there is just something special about running a Britt in the sagebrush looking for sharptails. The only regret I have is not putting him on a pheasant (NE Wyoming doesn't have any crop land or soil good enough to keep prairie grass and sagebrush alive)

    Years ago when I was young 23 - 50 yrs old I never fell when hunting chukars but now at 75 I find than I do fall occasionally when after chukars. Not always but sometimes you have to go into the roughest part of the mountain to get them. Pheasants, quail, huns and grouse do not require that rough a country to find them. A good dog is always a blessing and make bird hunting more enjoyable. Brittany's are a very good breed for birds they are mild mannered and don't range to far plus make a good house pet...

      @@Chukartramp Don't forget Angus! Both our dogs are from Gabe's kennel (Sunburst Brittanys), and are by far the best hunters I've ever worked with, shot over, benefitted from... Sunburst's dogs have the genes if you want a dog to find, point, hold, and retrieve wild upland birds.

    • @Chukartramp
      @Chukartramp Před 5 lety +2

      Bob, Reddy here is Angus relative as well as peat's. He is the culmination of my lines. I had the pleasure to start him for his first year. Sadly he passed less than a year later in a horrible incident where Stan's barn burned down. It has been the greatest part of my life breeding brittanys for others, and also tremendously hard. They become family, and I get to hear all the stories (good and bad) from those who get Sunburst brittanys. Sometimes it's more than what I can bear. I'm greatful for the time I have been given with my dog's, Especially our connection through Angus's father Sumac and his mother Sage my sorely missed friends.

      Yeah , that's what I thought what about the dogs? Well, I know Stan and sold him the beautiful roan Brittany in the film. "Reddy" at the end it says in memory of reddy. Unfortunately his barn caught fire and reddy was unable to get out. I had the privilege of raising reddy his first year, and breeding him out of my original bloodlines from Sunburst Brittanys.
