  • I hate drama and politics even more. I go four-wheeling to escape all that. But in this case, I have to speak up. I get a little vocal in this video.
    After hearing the news that we were potentially losing more trails in the Moab area, I had to get out and experience a few of them before they were inaccessible in motor vehicles.
    I have lived in Green River, Utah, for the past two years. Mapping all over this region to draw attention to the lesser-used trails we are about to lose. I am a huge advocate for running the lesser-known trails. If we do not spread out our usage and stay on the designated trails allotted, we'll lose them. USE OR LOOSE. Bull Bottom is a perfect example at the end of this video.
    Tonto National Forest in Arizona is a perfect example of how we have to act to keep our trail systems open and manageable. The amazing volunteer group TRAL is a pioneer in travel management cooperation between citizens and Govt. Agencies.
    Per the BLM Travel Management Plan
    You can help by visiting the Blue Ribbon Coalition at www.sharetrails.org/
    Be sure to ALWAYS respect these areas.
    DO NOT BURN PALLETS or THROW YOUR TRASH OUT THE WINDOW.
    Please stay on the DESIGNATED trail.
    Complete details about this trail and others can be found at trailsoffroad.com/all-access?d...
    Thank you for watching and sharing with your friends.
    We really hope you enjoyed the video and that it inspires you to xploremor.

      A lot of it IS politics ....Obama closed down parts of our ORV park using our tax dollars (borrowed of course) so we get what we vote for.

    The wife and I have rode our dirt bikes all over Moab since 1987. And not once have we ever went off trail. It’s sad that there are those that don’t give a damn about the land and vegetation in areas, and not just Moab. Side by sides are raising havoc on trails here in Arizona. And I believe it’s a matter of time before they close trails here as well. We haven’t been back to Moab since 2014. And now the way things are going there with trail closures and folks pointing the finger at who’s to blame. Not sure we’ll ever come back to Moab. The last time we were there in Moab! We were riding out back to our truck and trailer to load up. And we met two ladies on bicycles coming towards us. We waved Hello, and got the finger from both of them. I’m sure these same bicycle people are ones that are helping the effort in closing trails in Moab and other states. Little do they know. That we Dirt Bike riders will be the first to jump in and help them if needed out on the trail. I will and have helped these same people in Moab that will thank you for help one minute, and give you the middle finger the next.
    Happy Trails to you and yours.

      We have enjoyed exploring Moab but try to avoid the popular trails. The Swell is more our speed and has incredible trails. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience with us.

    That out and back rim trail (D2778) looks amazing! I filmed a lot of what they closed, but never got to that one. Such a shame… that area has no trash, no off trail damage, was uncrowded. A true overlanding paradise! Great vid!

      That area got hit hard by the closures. Several great trails were lost that we were lucky to see one last time. Fortunately there are still a few good ones left to check out. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

  • @tm8747

    its stupid people that get others to close the area, destorying private property markers or posts is what make the land owners and the BLM shut down area like this, , to see in the furture maybe installing raile cameras on the ending area and monitor it for a couple of years to see the out come. we did this in east tucson,az at our mining camp. the BLM want to do the same to us, till we monitored the area for 6 months and to show there was no damage being done to the open land other then us mining for platinum? these are steps to take to save the area?

    • @xploremor
      @xploremor  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I wish we could do something like that for this area. The area is very well preserved and not being destroyed in any way. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

    This is the kind of stuff that happens when people are not stewards of the land. To many new people coming from all over the country, or world for that matter, defecating all over like down town LA or San Fran.! It's sad but maybe they will reopen it back up some day. If you think about it...This has been coming with a warning for a long time now!!

      Sad to hear that. It's a special place. Mainly pronghorns and the recently reintroduced big horn sheep, which is part of the reason for the closure. I've seen plenty of pronghorns but never big horns. Predator birds too, golden and bald eagles hunting the huge bunnies. Thanks for watching.

    It always some dummy that wrecks it for everyone. Sad to hear they are gonna try yo close thes spactular get aways. I hope ya all can fight hard enough to keep them open.. maybe a dirt bike ban should really be put in place and enforced with stiff peneltys if fount off the damn trail!

  • @SegoMan

    Every video I have watched on proposed trail closure never had any trash, to much traffic or damage -Which is the BLM's excuse for closing them..

    • @xploremor
      @xploremor  Před 8 měsíci +1

      They have thrown every excuse imaginable; reintroducing desert bighorn is the big one. Also, for some reason, the BLM can't differentiate between OHV use and mining. They lump "land use" into a very broad classification. Thank you for watching and showing interest.

    I’m a big time 4x4 guy. But 4x4’s are way - way harder on open country than dirt bikes.
    Dirt bike trails are barely more broke in than cattle trails.
    Not that my opinion matters because like you pointed out no government is going to be able to completely stop the bike community from enjoying the earth. Can’t stop what you can’t catch.
    Also they should be ashamed of themselves for allowing SUWA to control our lands. Leave the land open. Awareness and education is a way better tool to get results.
