My theory is that gremory is possessed by satan because when she asks for help satan stabs his eye (decho when he stabs his eye he gets a red color the same color when he removes ichiro's heart😭💀)
I’m pretty sure he became a demon. Because he mention in I think the episode before something about the vessel becoming a demon or him becoming a demon. So pulling out his heart doesn’t really do anything to kill him. But honestly I enjoyed the anime 9/10
