Molly never breaks. Truly a great actress!
This is why they gave her a movie of her own. She deserved it. The Mary Katherine Gallagher character is a cult classic.

I love Superstar
Molly Shannon's commitment to the physicality of Mary Katherine Gallagher is what makes it so amazing. She really launches herself, must have gotten a lot of injuries. That she also makes herself look as ridiculous as possible with the short skirt and the tighty whities just makes it ten times funnier!
I remember one episode that she had huge black bruises on her legs from crashing into stuff. That had to hurt, but she was dedicated as hell!
Molly Shannon was purely amazing so many times, staying in character through ridiculous actions, voice changes, etc., she made me laugh so much then and now I can see the talent it took to do what she did. And in several different ways during every show too. Sure, she lost it like everybody has now & then, but she was really fantastic.
Molly Shannon and Will Forte are my 2 favorite underrated SNL cast members. They are both so weird and wacky, I love their senses of humor.

Some of this was awkward and messy, and the host of the spelling bee had terrible timing at many points. Mary Catherine Gallagher didn’t miss a single beat though!

my "cast era" of SNL began with the 92-93 cast and ended with the 2001 cast, so this cast was a huge part of what made SNL a show I will always love.....I quit for a few years after Will left and a few others left cuz some of their replacements either tried to hard (ahem maya) or couldn't keep a straight face...talking to you Horatio! (even though i ended up loving their work in tv and movies later on) but I got pulled back in and started to watch again when Will Forte, Fred Armisan, Bill Hader, Jason, Bobby, Kristen and them were the main cast...then when they started leaving I didn't care for much of their replacements other than Taran and we all know how badly he got treated by SNL but the modern cast has me hooked again. Kate and Aidey are 2 of the best Female cast members ever and they can do just about anything and Beck is the perfect straight man in crazy scenes but still makes you laugh your ass off and Pete well he is just the perfect...Chad i guess :)

Sincere question.. what changed? He hasn't changed at all. He was a Republican who put into place Republcan policies in 1997... now he supports Trump and Trump's Republican policies.... he is showing massive evidence of vote fraud... please I beg you to hear the evidence. It is real. The media today is beyond biased, they have become propaganda machines. Listen to what Rudy is saying today, he is telling the truth. The media smears him and what have they got against him? A photo which was clearly staged ("Borat" told him to go into a room and relax in which there was only a bed, he was taking out his wire, which goes down through a shirt... "Borat" also tried to frame Ron Paul in a similar way... they then send in a young girl and snap a photo.. nothing happened. He was merely getting the wire out of his shirt, his shirt being tucked into his pants.) So, beyond supporting Trump, who has done WONDERFUL things for this country (it is the media which has been dividing everyone by constantly framing everything as "Trump is bad, Trump is a villain" and the Democrats which have been acting in a downright wicked way... for example not taking on covid aid relief when President Trump asked them to please agree on a deal which was covid relief ONLY, instead the D's continuously put poison pills into it... Trump asked for a deal in which relief to the people is the ONLY thing on the bill and Nancy Pelosi rejected that.. has the media covered this? No.. they constantly frame is as the R's refusing to work with Nancy when it is the other way around, Nancy refusing to work with the R's and Trump. On and on. Rudy hasn't changed at all..... the D's have, the media have.

I still remember SNL when she was in the spelling bee contest and I also realize she was moving back wards towards the wall and started crashing it by falling and was too funny 😁 I loved 🥰 her school girl costume she wore years ago.
