Miss understood I’ll explain I have a bad module I bought a new module they are vin for certain car so if I use my mcu with my vin in it can I just swap put in new module without doing am I clone with car pro programmer

Hi great video. Quick question, I can read the EEPROM once but fail to verify. Keep coming back as verification fails. Clamp eeprom on pcb. Is it a bad connection?
Could you of just taken eprom of the bad original and put on doner
Why would you want to take off an eprom from a good computer and put it on bad just install a good computer in the car
What program do you use to clear the EPROM?
Do you still work on the little boxes for their air bags?
Great video. I have 2023 Corolla with the airbag light on and no codes. I sent the module to get reset and I just got it back and installed it and the light still on… wtf!!!

You probably still have a fault or didn't fix everything. If it was in a crash and the seat belts are locked up, gotta change them. A proper scan tool could tell you exactly what codes are still there
Hey mate, just a quick question couldn’t you just transfer the EEPROM chip to the new donor module from the old one?
Audi/VW use similar Bosch airbag control modules. There is a concept of index number; which basically maps to the number of sensors/airbags in the vehicle. Usually each model has anywhere between 3-12 different index numbers. For example, airbag control module 1K0909605AB has index codes 6A and 39. Are the differences between these modules in the eeprom or in firmware? If they are in eeprom; I imagine a scenario where you could dump the contents of 6A and flash it to 39 and for all intents and purposes 39 becomes 6A. If the firmware itself is different; this method would probably not work.

I found you on CZcams. I am wondering if you can program my ignition switch for 2018 Mercedes.
2018 ignition switch is a FBS4 component, which has a high security system. Only new component and has to be done online with Xentry.
Or do I have to clone the Mcu chip and to the new working module as you did in video it’s a 0285001103 Bosch module

Ok - so question. You had to remove the eprom regardless - so why bother doing read/write when you're swapping the chip anyway? @splain pls. :-) Eprom swap would do the same thing, no?
