  • How to apply a traction pad to a skimboard. I have a Zap skimboard ACE 56 that I will apply a Cube arch and bar traction pad to. The only other thing you will need to add will be some wax. Easy to follow steps to apply a stomp pad.
Here are some great traction pads: amzn.to/3NwpYJr

Instead of drawing with sharpie we took a fishing line and taped it from the tail to the nose and put the things on the fishing line then you pull out the fishing line or if it doing come out take players or scisors and cut it as much as you can

Call me crazy but I put grip tape on my front! I've been riding this Zap Ace 52 for a while now and haven't ever torn up my foot. I do have a creature of leisure pad on the back. But that grip tape on the front works like a charm.

As somebody who just sticks them on roughly in the middle and stacks textbooks on them overnight, this video is definitely a better way to do it lol

I leaned that you can use a blow dryer to make it stick better

Do u need to sand it before putting the pads on? I surf and u never have to sand ur boards but I guess it's different with a skimboard? Just asking if it's necessary👍🏼

It just roughs up the surface to make sure the pad sticks good and won't peel off easily. But for sure make sure you clean it
