What i really love about this documentary is that Banksy, Invader and Shepard are gently putting this all out there.. They're not shoving it down our throats that Mr Brainwash is a sell-out, despite most of the audience having probably already figured that out. Theyre just kind of letting the audience form its own opinion about this. The thing is about art is that it's so ambiguous, and as Banksy said himself, it has no rules. So technically, what Thierry did wasnt "wrong" per se, nor are Banksy and buddies overtly bashing what he did, because on what grounds? Theyre in no position to say his art is not real art. Rather theyre allowing a free-think approach and allowing the ones who truly get art i believe, figure out whether or not Thierry's work is of any artistic value. And the true ones amongst us will know. What i loved about it also is how fucking mindless MBW's "fans" are. God it was priceless watching all these sheep pay thousands of dollars for portraits by some new idiot on the street. Don't these fools get that its not meant to be bought nor meant to be obsessed over like it's some new "cool" fad... You could tell they had no idea that this guy is totally boring unoriginal and they are treating him like he's God.
Izzy Fouda this is the most succinct answer I've found for trying to explain to people who don't understand why they made this film, beautifully worded and presented
The last part where that guy says "I guess the joke is on... I dont really know who it's on, I dont even know if there is joke," was really mindblowing to me. Who is the joke on? Brainwash made a bunch of money, and the idiots who bought his art truly think it's good. And the real artist dont even care because they know that shit is not good, so who really loses? Interesting thing to think about.
marella gonzalez damn girl 2007 😔 long time ago, went i was in high school in 9 grade 2013 my teacher shows us "exit through the gift shop" and i love this song. HI from NYC.
Honestly, I love this song as well as exit through the gift shop. For my diploma in art, I had the choice of choosing portraiture or street art. I chose street art. I was required to create original pieces of art. I studied but it didn't help, so I decided to watch banksys documentary. It was an eye opener! It helped me think out of the box, and create stuff which others may have never done. I got an A+ (star). And I think listening to this song when trying to get creative, really helped. ;P
Congratulations! You have Achieved and by Yourself. How are you doing 9 years later since posting? Love the song and other songs of his. The Ocean and this being my favorites. Richard Hawley deserves a bigger audience. Just wanted to congratulate you. Q
@@qwj68boots how nice of you Quinn! Life has been a bizarre yet wonderful rollercoaster. But I’m on the right track to reach those ambitions, teenage me dreamt of. I just need the motivation and drive. But thanks to you, I’ve been reminded of this fantastic song again. I hope you’re having a fantastic day Mister. We need more kind hearted people like you on this site 😭 H
Banksy is definitely the most funny, original, and poignant street artist out there, regardless of whether or not he is the best at drawing. Banksy is an Enigma, but he doesn't choose to be an enigma to be "cool". He has many reasons.
The world serves us, and not the other way around. For we might stuper around at the expense of the world, but we are kings chicos when we let the world come to us. I guess everything became shit out of luck when we first got that message twisted.
One of my fav parts is when before Thierry becomes Mr. Brainwash he goes with Bansky to Disneyland and gets arrested by the Mickey Mouse police. Their Theirry tells the Mickey Mouse police that he will show them that he has nothing on the guy who pulled the stunt off. And shows them his camcorder and says, "let me show you, and he says, "see," and goes directly to where it says delete and clicks then says, "you see I have nothing on him or any one, because I don't know who it is" Mr. Brainwash is too down. 👍
@ hiphoplivs: don't call anyone a "hipster", if you not know anything about anyone, ok? I'm interested in street art in a long time, but I see no reason to explain this to someone like you. BTW. Banksy's creativity is not just a painting the rats on the walls- if you're such ekspert in street art thing, then you should probably know this ...?
This is the perfect song for the last day of school after your last exam
+Enayat Kapadia exactly
¡Totalmente de acuerdo!
I love this. “Tonight, the streets are ours”. Combines an older sound with a newer one. Very uplifting! ❤️
All I can think of is Exit Through The Gift Shop and this song just makes me laugh haha
Got to say what a great movie
I like when banksy said he doesn't really encourage just anyone to do art anymore...
Can you blame him? Art is like anything else...Its just not for everyone, and if its for everyone its always crap..
Everything is crap, but it's only a load of it if we don't want to do it. I'm an artist but I understand it's not everything
Haaaaaaaa

Hahaha brilliant
I love this song and the documentary.
makes me want to take up street art. :D
I love this. I bought the CD soon after it was released and wished it had gone to the top of the UK charts. An excellent record.
"I used to encourage everyone I knew to make art. I don't do that so much anymore."
Mayra Zamora that's what a typical bullshit artist would say
You dumbfuck, she refeers a quote from Bansky about Mr. Brainwash
MAQUINARIA STOCK really, sherlock?
MAQUINARIA STOCK stfu
Why not?
I like the black fade effect on this photo, because it gives you the idea that it becomes day and you see the street art that was made in the night.
Perfect song to remind one of the wretched days ahead, behind and all over.

the documentary is a prank
Plus you could argue Shepard is the biggest sellout in art history
I agree but still I like mr brainwash
It’s interesting to know about how it all started
Brilliant street artist, brilliant song, brilliant film. I've fallen in love with brilliance. ;)
Esta es una de las muchas canciones de este gran cantante. IMPRESCINDIBLE

The world serves us, and not the other way around. For we might stuper around at the expense of the world, but we are kings chicos when we let the world come to us. I guess everything became shit out of luck when we first got that message twisted.

+Léon Heart Released 2007
"No, I copied 3D from Massive Attack. He can actually draw."
-Banksy
"when the power of love overcomes the love of power world shall know peace"
After the shitshow that happened on the 6th of January 2021 this song is haunting me.
The most well-behaved "riot" in history is not worth being "haunted" over. Basically a group of sightseers walking around the capitol building.
How to make one photography 3-minutes video...?
The perfect to come back to song when the philistines and charlatans sometimes mash their boot on your neck...
Song = Banksy
Came here after watching Royal Enfield promo video
