  • We spent an entire day in Munich, Germany trying as much food as possible. This was not very easy in Germany where all of their foods are very filling and heavy. We tried pretzels, pork knuckle and so many other things that we had never heard of before. Food tours are such a great way to do a deep dive into a countries history and culture@

    BAVARIA solo munich ?!

  • @TheDude50447
    @TheDude50447 Před 2 měsíci +1

    There is no wheat in bavarian potato dumplings. Seriously how would you get that idea. Because Gnocchi got flour mixed in? Making potato dumplings is quite a tedious process and my grandmother used to make them herself up until the early 90s. Theyre among the best side dishes ever. While its a very hard decision for me theyre slightly edged out by potato salad. If you never had a good potato salad in bavaria youre missing out. Gotta be careful though as regularly restaurants use pre made potato salad. If theres mayonaise in it then its not bavarian btw. Northern parts of germany do that and its just not for me. Way too heavy.

  • @mucxlx
    @mucxlx Před 5 měsíci +5

    Munich is actually not the right place for Currywurst. Its not really big here and i think generally in Bavaria and i think its also not that big in Baden-Würtenberg too, basicly the south. Its huge from Berlin to Cologne, basicly the center of Germany. But bavarians are way to proud of their own sausages to let some fast food steal the show. There is not many places to get Currywurst in Munich. Its like a handful of good places and otherwise you only get it at like lower grade kiosks here and there.

    • @rogerlynch5279
      @rogerlynch5279 Před 25 dny

      Right THE CURRYWURST came from Berlin and out of the Ruhrgebiet. It became an international fan food because it was a favorite of former Chancellor Schröder, othe4rwise it is more or less an ordinary fast food
      And if you tried out more exotic fare you might had added the German/Turkish Döner to your list. After all that one had been first done in a Berman - Turkish restaurant.

    Why do all Americans only travel to Munich? All these stereotypes that Americans have about Germany seem to be true. Germany has 16 federal states, and Bavaria is just one of them.

  • @jdktoo
    @jdktoo Před 5 měsíci +3

    what has munich to do with germany? and btw. 50 euros for a brezel is outrageous, i know the bavarians are dumb, but not that dumb. and schneider weisse is a wheat beer brand. and a dumpling is a potato. ok. and it's called cordon bleu.

    • @Hosenbisla
      @Hosenbisla Před 5 měsíci +11

      Well you seem like a nice Person. Maybe cool it down with calling someone dumb, while getting so many things wrong. She said the store that sells the Brezen is 50 years old. No Euro in sight. And he called the Knödel a potatoe dumpling, which is absolutely correct.

    • @saba6502
      @saba6502 Před 5 měsíci +1

      Yes, silly post on your part. 1) Bavarians are dumb? Bavaria and Saxony have the most demanding and best educational systems in all of Germany. b) Bavaria (as one of the richest states in Germany) is THE state in Germany which supports the poorer German states the most (in particular in the North and North East the most) by contributing - as one of 16 states - 60% of the "German states fiscal equalization scheme" (Länderfinanzausgleich).
      And, by the way, the majority of Bavarians are very nice and welcoming and not dumb at all. c) One Breze costs € 50,- in Bavaria???? Even Northern Germans (having a totally mediocre educational system) can't possibly be as dumb as to post something like this. But I guess I must be wrong in this case.
      Very strange - once again - that Bavaria's and Munich's great popularity with tourists from all around the world leads to posts like this.
