- A compilation of every punt return touchdown of the 2021 college football season. For those that don't know, a punt return touchdown is when the return man catches the punt and runs it all the way to the opposing team's end zone for a touchdown. Watch all 11 minutes to enjoy some of the most exciting moments of the season such as Central Michigan's Kai Pimpleton scoring twice in five minutes and Memphis's Calvin Austin III scoring a wild touchdown against Mississippi State. In total, there was 26 such instances in the 2021 college football season. NOTE: I did not include blocked punt touchdowns in this video.

As a Nebraska fan I could tell you what was my least favorite.
Even tho it was against a very lowly team in UAPB, I'd have to choose Nathan Parodi for Arkansas.

I’m a big Utah fan, but that’s the first time I’ve seen the punt return against SDSU. The game before on CBS sports hadn’t finished, and their website wasn’t working, so I couldn’t watch it online. I was never able to find it elsewhere.
It’s the sad how Kick and Punt returns have fallen since the new blocking rules came into play I’m glad you made this video though thanks again PSC 👍❤️💯

Your yearly group highlights of things like this are my favorite thing on all of CZcams. The only good part of the college season ending is that I know these videos are coming. I worked with ESPN and FOX for 18 years as part of their on-site production teams so I know a little something about this side of the game… and whoever puts these videos together does an excellent job and needs a raise 😀

@@leifopstad2972 thats not true at all. the ball was swatted back in and was tocuhed dead since it stopped moving.. even the ref was in the process of blowing it dead. No reason why that play should have continued

Where do you get your clips
Can someone explain to me why the play was not blown dead for Memphis vs Mississippi State? Had Mississippi State not down the ball? Is there some rule that says if a player from the receiving team is in proximity the play is still alive?
It should have been down. The refs just screwed up
They did touch it, but they did not possess it. Similar play happened in a UCF/Tulsa game a few years back.
a first touching violation does not make the ball dead. If the kicking team held on to the ball, that would have done it.
The violation gives the receiving team the option to either 1) take the ball at the spot of the violation, or 2) accept the outcome of the play

@@phakeAccount first touching violation is not flagged. In the NCAA rule book it's called Illegal Touching.
It's not flagged, but it's sometimes marked with another piece of equipment. The only punishment for this is giving the receiving team the option to take possession at the spot of the violation.

First touching violation does not make the ball go dead. What we typically think of as "downing a punt" is when the kicking team holds on to the ball. With first touching, the receiving team has the option of 1) taking possession at the spot of the violation, or 2) accepting the outcome of the play.
