    I’ve got the same system and we are just getting ready to set it up. I’ll be following along watching.

      Thanks for following. There are several videos on the system in the farming playlist.

    Your EC isn’t too high
    pH should be 5.8 -6.2
    I would cover your reservoir with a dark lid of some sort.
    Love the green house!

      Thanks! We did cover it. This was a first step setup. We now have in ground reservoirs and intellidose controllers. Appreciate you watching our channel!

    Hi lovely setup...What exactly is holding up the guttering? Maybe you can do a vid to show how it's held in place?

      @dariusbaldeo4935 sure! It’s a square steel tubing rack made for the gutters. I have some others to assemble in the next couple weeks so I will video it. Working on an auto dosing controller currently. Video on it coming soon!

    Really a nice and informative video. By the way what is the size of black tiny feeder tube ? what is the Inner diameter and outer diameter ( ID & OD ) ? It will be very helpful for me. Thanks for the video.

    • @steveale0711
      @steveale0711  Před rokem

      Thanks for watching. The feeder or header tubing is 1/2” in diameter. It is a soft poly so it doesn’t really have an ID/OD. It’s just known as 1/2” soft poly pipe. The spaghetti tubing running to each channel is 1/4” tubing. Some suppliers also sell a 5mm spaghetti tube which is slightly smaller than the 1/4”. Most home improvement box stores sell the 1/4” spaghetti. Grower supply tend to sell the 5mm. Let me know if you need any more info. Please subscribe to our channel if you have not already. Thanks!

      @@steveale0711 Thanks you very much for your very quick and friendly response. Good to know that the spaghetti tube is 1/4" (6mm) . some supplier told me 3mm ID ( 1/8") is also suitable. But I believe 5mm or 6mm ID is much better for water flow. Thanks again for your help. will subscribe you channel.

      @@SUBORNOVISION you are correct the bigger spaghetti = more flow. However, you have to factor your pump capacity as you flow more fluid. Thanks for subscribing!

    Great video! I’m building my first hydro/NFT setup. What is the rail you’re using? I’m growing a lot of lettuce as well. Been looking at food safe materials, some say PVC is ok and others don’t. But yours is a metal rail/gutter? Any advice much appreciated

    • @steveale0711
      @steveale0711  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Thanks for watching! The gutter is poly material from crop king. They were in the greenhouse we purchased. I’ve seen the same comments on pvc. I do look for “NSF” on water and drain pipe to insure its drinking water safe. On metal gutters you would want to stay away from galvanized coatings. I’ve see some setups use non painted aluminum. We were fortunate to have these commercial systems already in the greenhouses.

      @@steveale0711 Gotcha thanks!! I'll check out your other videos but I'm curious how you "harvest"... Do you just pull the gutters out and pull the produce that way? Maybe I'm missing something but doesn't look there's enough room to walk to the side and pull out the lettuce. Thanks again

    • @steveale0711
      @steveale0711  Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@Deep.Development I will make a video of harvest and planting for you. Just pull the gutter out of the drain and lay it over the walkway between the 2 sides. Or put it on a cart then pull each lettuce out of the holes. It may take me a couple days to get the video posted.

    What system is this?

    • @steveale0711
      @steveale0711  Před měsícem

      It is identical to crop king but has no markings. It was in the used greenhouse that we bought, dismantled and moved to our farm. Thanks for watching. Message if you have any other questions.
