Glad that you did the review! I got it and loved it, It started out very spicy on me but by the end of the day it turned out sweet on me, I love how its different from the rest of the celebrity market! It is worth a shot and deff worth the buy. It is sexy, sultry, bold and confident.

I may have to try this, after all! You had me when you said that this is spicy and the patchouli is "earthy." I am a Spicy Oriental and Woody Musk gal ALL THE WAY! You mentioned that the jasmine was there to sort of freshen it like the bergamot, but to my understanding, jasmine most usually adds a heady, rich floral sweetness. The base of this one sounds just gorgeous. I look forward to trying it out. Great review!

I got two 100ml bottles of this for my birthday last week bc I asked for them. I had smelled it last year and the lasting power was so memorable I decided to make it my signature scent for a while since it was so inexpensive so I don't have to feel guilty using it since I am an oversprayer. I looked up the batch code and sadly my bottles are almost 9 years old, from March 2010 which I believe is when it was released but it still smells nice imo. The notes are very strong and one spray on the skin will stay with you all day. I'm only disappointed bc I'm not sure if what I'm smelling is what the fragrance was made to be. When sprayed on paper it is too strong and "classic" smelling, it's borderline offensive. However on my skin I immediately get an insence like patchouli scent with other earthy notes and a hint of florals, then powdery vanilla comes through and finally very comforting and cozy sandalwood is what I smell at the end of the day. All in all not bad for a nearly decade old bottle of perfume.
I put off buying Fancy Nights for a number of years - not sure why. I ended up buying a 50 ml bottle (or was it 75 ml? can't remember at the moment) about two months ago and it's almost gone! I love it *that* much that I ended up purchasing the 100 ml bottle only two weeks after I purchased the 50 ml! I thought it would smell cheap and generic, but it smells way more expensive and luxurious. A really nice surprise! :)
just blind bought this, i'm guessing the papyrus is cypriol aka nagarmotha. i have and like cyproil EO, and like real patchouli too, so i have high hopes for this. I am looking forward to getting into my car, and having it smell great from the last time i was in it LOL

I got this tonight! There is a new little perfume store in the mall & I got the gift set with the showergel,Lotion,Rolorball and the 3.4oz bottle. I am a little scared to spray it, I can smell it REALLY strong from just opening it! I mean really strong & it has NOT been sprayed! I thought it would be a little stronger than Britney's Believe (& I love that) but this is like a Million times stronger! I think I will test this @ home on one of my nights off before I ware it in Plublic.You did SUPER!

Honestly I wouldn't recommend getting big bottles for strong scents. Since it's such a strong smell you would only need 2 sprays and you probably wouldn't wear it everyday. So a medium bottle would be good. Are you gonna do a Kim Kardashian perfume review?
Shalimar is a good comparison, though it's even nicer than that.. but it is in that genre. I have hundreds of fragrances but I come back to Fancy Nights so often that I've been through 3 bottles in the past 1.5 years. I also wear it during the day (unlike what he says in the review!) - and in summer, winter, autumn and spring. I feel I can get away with it because I'm in my forties plus Poison (which is in the same genre, I feel) was always my favourite fragrance, even in my early twenties and I wore it all the time too. Not everyone could get away with wearing this fragrance during the day (some who are younger it may not suit at all to be honest), but I feel very lucky I can wear it at any time and get away with it. :)
The thing about getting 'em cheap (which I do often too) is you're risking getting an expired bottle. But I'm always on the lookout for cheapies but goodies. The biggest issue I have with inexpensive fragrances is they often smell great but don't last.
Just bought this and it smells sooooo much like Angel by Thierry Mugler mixed with one of the poison ones?...its wonderful and her most downplayed,i also bought the I fancy you,,it was a blind buy and I don't like it,it smells like pefume that's gone off lol,,what is the normal fancy like?
Great fragrance...far second only to Chanel Coromandel. The incense and Benzoin are missing and it's not as long lasting, but can definitely give Coromandel strong competition. Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights is also so affordable. I am definitely not a fan of fruity fragrances and have always preferred spicy, exotic fragrances with Sandalwood and Fancy nights is the affordable version of Coromandel

I've actually read some reviews of this fragrance comparing it to Shalimar. And Shalimar ain't cheap. Think I'm gonna check this out.

Yep. It's my only real vice. I collect them, all very cheaply when on sale. Most everything else I spend money on is helping others and/or animals.
