I was going to ask if there was anything like it today. I have not had Mr. T cereal and it is long gone by now. The best we can do is eat other modern cereals that are as close as possible. Sounds like Cap'n Crunch is the best bet. Maybe King Vitamin if that cereal is still around. Sadly I have not seen it in many, many years.
How can anyone who either grew up or lived in the 80's forget Mr. T? I pity the fools who have. "I pity the fool." "Shut up, fool!" "Because I'm nobody's fool." The guy also had character and sense of humor.
I grew up with mr. T in the 1980's and I just found out that he is 69 years old this year and I never forgotten about him at all because I really miss eating the cereal itself because I used to eat it for breakfast every morning and until I got some more of the same cereal itself and I was a die hard fan of the A Team in the 1980's when I was little kid in the 1980's and I will be 43 years old this year 2021
My mom and dad used to get this cereal for us when we was little.all I remember it tasted like captain crunch.but this brings so much memory as an kid.also his cartoon.
Mr. Breakfast: Good morning, Pee Wee. Pee Wee: Good Morning, Mr. Breakfast. Ha Ha. Mr. Breakfast: Can I have some Mr. T cereal? Pee Wee: OKAY! Ha Ha Ha Ha!
In 1984 I was in kindergarten and we got to have this cereal for a snack on the day we learned about the letter T. Also, I remember watching the Mr. T Saturday morning cartoon. I argued with my older sister that the kids in the cartoon were his family because he adopted them all. 🤣
@NewWorldRob Characters in the ad were those from the Mister T animated series that aired on NBC from Sept 1983 to Dec 1984 (and replayed until 1986). Mr. T Cereal by Quaker Oats (makers of Cap'n Crunch, both cereals tasted similar) was first introduced in 1984 and famously appeared in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (1985) with Pee-Wee Herman holding the box and saying "I Pity The Fool". Though the cereal was discontinued in 1986 boxes were left on shelves until completely sold out around 2004.
True story- in 2005, i stopped at a bodega in Brooklyn to make a quick purchase and lo and behold on the very top shelf holding the cereals was about three boxes of Mr. T cereal right next to about four boxes of Pac-Man cereal!
I forgot they used animation from the Saturday morning cartoon. ( Yes there was a Mr. T cartoon. He was like a coach/ bodyguard/ mystery solver/ it's Mr. T. His first name is Mr. His last name is T and his middle name is that period.
I used to love pouring this over my happy face bacon and eggs on a pancake, then eating exactly four (4) pieces with my novelty oversized fork and leaving the rest.
I remember that commercial very well, and I watch the Mr. T cartoon, but I never had that cereal I wanted to try, but I never did, and I know Mr. T would Pity the fool that wouldn’t like a cereal lol
That’s my Dad, Marv Jonesi singing! He was the Jingle Cereal King of the 80s.
Bad ass
I would love to know what other jingles he wrote.
Very cool, what a golden age to be making commercials. Everything was positive and upbeat back then.
Sweet
Damn that's awesome.

I remember eating the Mr T. cereal as a kid. It tasted like Cap'n Crunch.
The 80s had the best cereal 😋

It's the most half arsed ad I've ever seen.
They totally missed the opportunity to say "I pity the fool who doesn't eat a balanced breakfast!" Or something.

When the pandemic hit, this was the song I sang to myself to make sure I was washing my hands long enough.
I always love Mr. T cereal I wish they would bring it back 😎
Me 2 personally, Calvin Woolfolk.

Aye.
The last great decade!

I remember having Mr. T cereal in 1984.
I grew up in the 1980s and I don't remember this...but how funny!!
I still remember how they tasted. Loved Mr.T cereal
Who’s here because of Pee Wee or The Critic?
“It’s Cool.”
Peewee. NC's take on it was terrible.
The jingle melody is almost a direct lift from the Mr. T doll commercial. :-)
Another piece of American products I learned through cinema. Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
I think I found a new ring tone!
Now look what you've done, I can't get the damned tune out of my head.
Mr. Breakfast: Good morning, Pee Wee.
Pee Wee: Good Morning, Mr. Breakfast. Ha Ha.
Mr. Breakfast: Can I have some Mr. T cereal?
Pee Wee: OKAY! Ha Ha Ha Ha!
With jingles like this, I often wonder how hard of a facepalm the vocalist made on his way out of the studio.
+John Bidochka It's cool.
He just put the check in his pocket. I’m sure he’s done worse.
You should hear the jingle for the Mr. T doll. 😂
The jingle is essentially everything musician are against. An odd combo.
That’s my Dad singing. Several facepalms were had.
What's the temperature of the milk?

If I had 3 wishes one would to go back to the 80's. I miss the simple things.
Ashley Mitchell Shit, I'd settle for the 90s. Before Facebook, people still talked to each other.
I used to love pouring this over my happy face bacon and eggs on a pancake, then eating exactly four (4) pieces with my novelty oversized fork and leaving the rest.
Mr T cartoon was in the same league as both Transformers and MASK cartoons in the 80s... EPIC

Mr. T: I pity the fool who doesn't eat my cereal.
