  • When re-released on 4 June 1984, 'I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me' became Nik Kershaw's highest-charting single on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number two. It featured the non-album track "Dark Glasses" as the B-side, which was also released as a bonus track on the 2012 re-release of the Human Racing
In September 1984, Nik told Number One magazine, "It's probably not immediately obvious but "I Won't Let the Sun" is about The Bomb, or rather about people taking responsibility for what they do generally. It's saying that it probably won't do much good for one person to shout about these things but I'm going to anyway."
'Human Racing' was released on 27 February 1984, peaking at No. 5 on the UK Album Chart and reaching the top 10 in several other countries. The album spawned four charting singles in the UK and it was the 22nd best-selling album of 1984 in the UK, receiving a nomination for Best British Album at the 1985 Brit Awards. The album has been certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
Fast forward to 2012; 'Human Racing' was re-mastered and re-released and included bonus remixes and releases.
Coinciding with the release of 'EI8HT' in the same year, the final show of the corresponding tour, at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on the 28th September, featured all Nik's hits old and new; and the album 'Human Racing' was played in its entirety during the second half of the show. That incredible night was recorded for DVD release later that year and has now been remastered for CZcams.
