In this video, I spend the day with Madonna, a woman who claims to be a guru with superpowers, special healing abilities, and psychic powers. She claims to be an "enlightened priestess."
Madonna formerly went by the name “Shakuntali Siberia,” which I asked her about several times.
Madonna travels all over the world leading retreats and she just so happened to be in the area, so she agreed to come to my house and show me some of her spiritual practices, including a special meditation where she dances on broken shards of glass!
In this video, I try to find out if Madonna is actually the enlightened guru she claims to be with real super powers... or a total scam.

I know many people who have been scammed out of money from her. The whole point of being a healer is integrating your own pain and past in order to be able to support people through what you’ve learned. I love you for being so honest. It’s important people know how easy it is to be taken advantage of. And she usually does charge people for those power totems!

Why must we still gatekeep
The ethereal nature of spiritual work makes it difficult to scrutinize with more scientific methods. This is not to say it is not powerful or real. I know from experience that it is. It's validation comes from the heart however, and the changes that it creates within and around us. Those changes are often subtle but can be very powerful over time like a 1 degree course correction in a sailing vessel. Integrity is of the utmost importance to this process and in order to gauge the integrity of the practitioner, one must look closely to see to what degree the practitioner is invested in a positive outcome for the "patient" (for lack of a better word), and to what degree they are invested in their own ego.

Okay, I smell a cult big time. I know because I belonged to one. Clue 1: The way her followers come out to greet you like they did. Clue 2: Not wanting to talk about herself. Something to hide? Maybe from where she came from? Clue 3: Dresses, looks and acts like a cult leader. Clue 4: Cult leaders like to change their identities to hide their past. Clue 5: Supernatural abllities supposidly. It California, many play a role there, hard to tell what is real. I read a super interesting article online about cults and spirituality in LA. There is a big tradition of people seeking it out of historic reasons like wanting a fresh start, the Hollywood scene of money, power as well as failed careers as actors etc. Very fascinating stuff

I think she likes to toy with people and she gets away with it by creating unsettling distractions with her heavy accent, odd word choices and excessive, fluffy ornamentation.

Over the course of many decades, I've spent time with people who I consider to be enlightened. Several common characteristics of these people are: they never claimed enlightenment for themselves. Moreover, they very rarely referenced themselves at all. They are just there, fully present, devoid of ego. After all, if a person says "I am enlightened" who is saying that if not the ego. Enlightenment is a sign that the ego has dissolved.

I don’t think our egos are supposed to dissolve. I understand that this is the definition of “enlightenment” in some specific traditions, but I think we should call it something else in English, so as not to confuse it as the ultimate “destination” or realization. It is not. (There is none, beyond our free will choice of how we experience creation.)
@@JB-og8gn - I agree with you. If you have a highly evolved brain and nervous system as humans do, you are going to have an ego. As one of my enlightened teachers explained it, what does dissolve is the habit, the conditioning of the ego always coming to the fore, of always being there. My teacher once joked, if you get pulled over by a cop demanding your ID and wanting to know who you are, it's best if you have an ego that shows up and can answer the cop. But in most situations, the ego is not needed. It is the habit, the conditioning of the ego to always be there that is dissolved.

She is very physically beautiful but her energy is quite hostile. She is very closed off instead of being open about her spiritual journey. It’s hard to believe someones legit without hearing their stories and why they are the way they are. It’s the stories that make us US. Since she’s hiding her past we really don’t know who she is. When I try tapping into her energy I see a blank wall bc she doesn’t accept anyone in. I hope she opens up her energy centers at some point because closing yourself off like that causes dis-ease. I found myself laughing at some points during this video because it’s kind of awkward how she just lies straight to your face and you go with it to not cause problems 😂 I love you girl, love your content.

@@joannedejongh2827 a lot of people use spirituality to help heal their wounds and get to the deep rooted things, once healed we can then show others how to do the same thing, but the fact she’s lying straight to sky’s face isn’t very “spiritual and it shows us that she still needs more healing to do and she shouldn’t be idolized. Usually people seeking the higher ascended path will speak their truth but she hides everything and doesn’t seem very humble. I can get where you’re coming from. As a healer I believe it's important to be transparent with yourself and to specifically share your story because it allows people to connect with you and trust you. She kept telling you to feel and not think but your gut feeling was telling you she wasn't authentic. She idols Madonna which tells me she wants fame. Sky did you resonate with the tarot reading she gave you?
My thoughts as well. Even if she genuinely wants to help people, a big part of it, came off as ego. Much love to you & yours my fellow healer.

No harsh feelings, but I think her whole facade of being mystical and 'unknowable' comes off as narcisistic. A big part of spirituality for me is how practice can bring honesty and connection between people.

She is part of a sect from Russia, then known as Ashram Schabalaya. Their chief guru was imprisoned, since then the sect has been banned in Russia. Now they are traveling in Europe and America. Unfortunately, all previous journalistic work can only be found in Russian and Ukrainian. In Europe and America they are still too successful with their manipulation. Other mentors of this sect: Aayla, Diana Suemi, Zhannabelle, Lilelle, Anatara recently as Emma, Abay Oyun, Enya. They change their names as soon as the noise around them gets too loud

After watching this video I listened to the Oh No, Ross and Carrie! episode with Madonna when she still went by Shakuntali Siberia and it is WILD. I thought she seemed sketchy in this video but listening to that confirmed it.
‘If you can’t convince them, confuse them’ I totally felt the confusion.
And honestly I felt protective of her, like she had a though life and just found something that made her feel good. But yeah, as of enlightened, her speech and actions were too incoherent for that.
Okay so her and her…followers were at One Love Fest in Arizona. Her girls came up to us and pressured us for our info and I caved and gave it to them. They kept pressuring us to attend their workshops, my friends and I got bad vibes. I am not kidding when they would non stop call me after the festival! They’d call me at 9pm and ask if they could talk. I kept coming up with excuses to why I couldn’t talk. They seriously wouldn’t stop. Then one time when they called I told the girl I didn’t have time because I was going somewhere. She seriously asked me where I was going and what I was doing! I finally blocked their number.
They did the same thing to me!

A friend of mine has been following her everywhere for several years now. I feel like I have lost a friend. Feels like she lost touch with reality and her true self… that’s how you know that it’s a fake one.
She has learned some spiritual and healing practices and then created a commercialized ego-based cult to manipulate people and gain followers... she is far from being "enlightened" but has enough knowledge and skills and a flashy persona to lure people in. She reminds me of the past when I encountered spiritual teachers from a cultish Russian spiritual school that mixed shamanism and yoga and other spiritual traditions.
Can you share more about the Russian cult you're talking about?
She is Enlightened but just in a negative way. Black Magician or Satanist is appropriate terminology for her.

I went to a workshop of hers in London 20 years ago, then she was from Siberia. I was not that into the exercises/methods that she wanted us to do, but the energy was strong, so I was glad I had brought my friend with me who is very level headed.
This is fascinating. I agree with the general sentiment In reading here that she isn’t an authentic shaman/Amazonian/Siberian/Tibetan priestess/witch. However, there is a spiritual role of the Jester/Fool/Performer and I sense a lot of that energy in her. The spiritual value there is pulling out the contrast between real and fake through different types of performance.
I see Madonna as a Spiritual Jester - ever in flux, mashing up magical and mystical sounding words and locations, mixing cultures, and generally being over the top and ridiculous which creates the energy we’re all participating here - what is “real spirituality” and what is fake?

Bless this woman, I can see that she really wants to help and inspire people but it seems that she has some healing to do with inside her self first. It can be easy creating identities to feel fulfilled or to suppress un healed emotion. For anyone that claims to be a healer or person who assist in the growth of people’s well-being I think it’s important to become stable with your identity and emotions first. Being as she doesnt like to speak about herself , is that she may not being truthful with her self and projecting her ideas onto people to “heal” them to feel a sense of healing within her self . But again I don’t know this lady 🤷🏽♀️ but I hope she goes far with wanting to spread light I just hope she can find the light inside as well as out.
P.s Note: people are so fast to claim certain titles like “ shamans” and know little of how much weight the responsibility is and cultures of people that went through years of self healing and teachings from ancestors. I feel it’s something we all can tap into but it takes work , patience and understanding and the will of time.

Imp, the thing I reacted to most, as a psychology student.. 🤪 Was when you touched her furry arrangements and her ego was hurt (yes she said you were brave), but I think she really felt like u didnt respect her aboveness and for me that boils down to a lack of connection and an entitlement. Well.. I don't think we should create any concepts about how a guru or enlightenment being should be. The expression of all being are unique, even for someone who is awake for the true self. But I think she gave a really good advice, to feel with our heart, and not use so much the mind. =) Thanks once again for your videos, I really love watching them:)

we should hold those who claim to be enlightened exalted beings to a higher standard, for they should have a higher code of ethics. a truly evolved person would just not act like this plain and simple and honestly what it takes to see that is discernment. people can say things that resonate like “feel with your heart, and not use your mind so much” and while that can be great advice in certain situations that also can be extremely shallow, deflecting, and also trying to persuade someone not to trust their intuition telling them something about this person may be off. it is important we don’t just blindly trust everyone in the spiritual community, question everyone and how they react to those questions and their actions in general will reveal who they are, but it is up to us to truly see 👁
I felt her ridiculously fake from the first second, in her unnaturally "natural" outfit. I tried don't listen to my first feeling, to stay opened, but I felt very soon haha by the Amazonas women and haha by the saint in the jail and haha by the whole show. Dear Sky, YOU could step on the glass without "exotic" belly dance, eye circling and "erotic" poses. You were the REAL attraction in this video. Congratulations.

There are many witches in Romania and only a few of them like the Minca’s are actually true to their practice.

A lot of (ok almost all) of these types of videos you do move me to tears. Even if it's not something i typically get into, or even if i'm skeptical. But this one, my spirit not only said she was lying, but i got a super bad feeling about this woman.
What I look for generally in a spiritual teacher is a sense that they believe we're all equal and don't have any air of superiority. I think this is because as you get farther in a spiritual path the more you see that we are all one, and all mirrors of each other. And that leads to a teacher who is almost humble and honored in the help and healing they are allowed to give to people.
This woman certainly isn't it.
The podcast “oh no Ross and Carrie” did a great episode with two of her ex-followers and later did an interesting interview with her also.

I pulled tarot cards while watching, and I'll leave a second comment with more details, but the cards that came were the 3 of Swords reversed, Judgement reversed, 7 of Swords, 8 of Cups reversed, 8 of Swords, and The Fool. She did not like your curiosity, but she does like to perform. She likes attention, and she is an "energy vampire." She most takes advantage of those who are stuck, suffering, and heartbroken.
Okay, so they only thing I really wanted to add was that it seems she appropriates a lot of information and may be unwilling or unable to stop the games she's playing. There is a sense of power and control dynamics at play as well.
I think you handled this brilliantly. You were kind and respectful and your audience can see for themselves the creepy inauthentic vibe. Your statement at the end was perfect and you don't need the drama of doing some "GOTCHA" moment.

Another great one Sky. I tend to believe one's enlightenment should make one more approachable and less elitist. The attachment to a spiritual ego seems strong in this one. But hey, I am sure she's actually helped some people - her radical self-love and expression are sure to inspire many - we are all-powerful gurus deep inside right? I do wonder though if her teachings help others find that inner light, as opposed to claiming she has some sort of divine birthright to her enlightenment. If it is the former, and she doesn't harm people with her teachings, then no judgment from here - self-love and radical self-expression are needed more in this world. I always have some reservations when I see either Guru in front of someone's name or they refer to themselves as such but that's just me!
Not just you. Same here. There is definitely some ego there when people call themselves a guru, and enjoy being seen as such and enjoy having lots of people who praise them. Also, I never understood why people follow gurus, or follow anyone for that matter.
I am also a healer. I did not get a feeling of authenticity. I found it odd she won't talk about about herself, her history and her methods and rituals. For example, where is she from? Where is family and what rituals/traditions resonate with her and why? Sharing this information with clients, potential clients and those who are genuinely curious helps them to understand where you are coming from. All of my teachers, healer friends and mentors have always been open with me about their history, methods, rituals and traditions that speak to them any why. I try to do the same with my clients, friends and those who are curious in order to build that rapport.
I used to perfom at a circus and walking and dancing on glass is not as dangerous as people make it out to be.
We used to walk on glass, it is a state of mind and not so difficult. A few tricks to it.
As a healer,tarot reader and eclectic witch. I agree alot with others. Opening yourself up to clients can not only be transparent, but you also build a trust and bridge to one another. I am also transparent to my own following. I don't work on a big scale as I don't know everything. But I am working on it 🥰 but that's half the battle is when you see "leaders" struggle and open up it helps others connect 🥰

Great interview! You were open to Madonna and not obtrusive in your skepticism. Madonna was obviously being evasive yet sugar-coating it with a magical cloud of Narcissistic manipulation. Did you pay for your “ blindfolded gift” which she obviously was using to peddle her wares? Or maybe she gave it to you for free since you were filming her and promoting her brand? She is a good example of a “guru” who is both promoting many elements of looking in and finding better expressions of oneself, along with grandiose and imaginative affirmations about what was present in this environment from years past. This supposedly lends her credibility in her “special power” projection. Which makes one believe that it’s true, based on her “dance” of high credibility. But when you do a reality check on her ostentatious self promoting “dance” on the broken glass, you find out it’s a total gimmick. Many people like her are captivating weak powerless people who need to look inside and gain more confidence and more power. This aspect is absolutely the truth. But her mesmerizing, Self Aggrandizing and Avoidance manipulation cannot be missed as traits of a perfect narcissist.
I definitely did not pay for that and would not have but I do know those objects are being sold for a lot of money at the retreats. Thank you so much for sharing your perspective. I know that she is a "real" teacher to many people in her own way and my call is for those people to take their power back!!
@@livingtheskylife yes! Exactly! In alcoholic anonymous the 12 step program, they talk about the importance of separating the “principle”( self transformation) from the person. Too many times the person becomes a “cult leader” and the individuals subjugate themselves to that person. Then the cult leader’s narcissism leads to an inflated and egocentric self image.
This scenario leads to destruction for everyone involved…..everybody suffers the consequences. But observing her confidence and her ability to project herself powerfully is a lesson for us all. But it is also a lesson to have humility and to answer questions without sketchiness/cunningness and to be transparent.

Sky its so good to see you questioning her, that you feel the impuls to ask and you do it and not only once but you try to really get an answer. It was visible that she is not used to be questioned the same thing over and over again. She looks beautiful to me, also the whole aesthetic of how she presents herself but the avoidance of the questions make her look dangerous and scammy. The tarotreading was a joke like wtf. It was so general, I had an issue 3 years ago with a man, same with all of my friends. Everybody at some point had probably an issue with a man 3 years ago..in a job or family or wherever.
That they brought their whole stuff to your place is also super weird, its not like ur home is a marketplace now to sell her things just bc she is at ur place..maybe a few pieces are ok but it looked like 2-3 tables full of stuff.
Part 2 would be interesting but I think its not really needed, I dont think she will answer your questions and all she wants to show we already saw anyway 🤷🏻♀️
The tarot reading is so random and the layout of the cards were in piles (I believe), neither individually nor in a spread. It would’ve been better when it's in a spread, but this Madonna woman is randomly reading a tarot card.

I love how open and curious you are about something which seems mysterious and unsafe. I find it interesting to observe that most comments are about figuring out if she is a scam or not, about her hiding her identity, etc. If we really want to grow spiritually, I believe that we need to stop being in our minds and embrace the experience with an open heart. Our heart knows if there is some truth to what she is doing. Our heart has the answer, we don’t need to look for an answer in our head by finding hints in the video. Just ask yourself: How did I feel while she was with me? Was I interested to learn more about how she helps people?
If you truly connect to your feelings, you‘ll have the answer. Your feelings don‘t lie.
I have met her many times at festivals... had red flags and never agreed to go to her sessions... Discernment.. for that I am thankful!
Hallo Sky, last year I participated one lesson by a colleague of her. He came into the house of a member of the family of my sons wife. It is real, the thoughts are from the past very very far away - it is not easy to combine these two worlds - the thoughts from the past (into their area) and nowerdays (into different countries) . The shaman I spoke with described it to me this way: he told me that he try to make the thoughts and hearts of the clients clean. And in fact, it should do this process a lot of burned-out people to heal their soul . I find it good, that you participated although you are sceptical 👏🏼🤓👍🏼👣😉

Ugggh…the energy from this video made me more frustrated than it did relaxed and it has nothing to do with your questions being unanswered but more because you are right to question her. I saw & felt red flags. Listen to what you are feeling. Your feelings about her are absolutely right. I wish her the utmost best on her journey but she needs to face the truth about being transparent about herself.

And also the fact that she is not open about everything could also mean that she has still stuff to process for herself. Being a shaman/ healer doesn't make you a perfect person. I do agree with other comments that it reeks somewhat of a cultish way of communicating.
She had a young man call me, ( she was there while he made the call ) and try and threaten me . I told them never to contact me again. I was warning people about the scam behaviors . She did not like me telling the truth . She lying . She had to change her name because she got in so much trouble .
The amount of cultist warnings she gives off is terrifying.

I think it was strange that she denied her past name etc, I sensed a lot of narcissism from her - true healers don't deny their past, they embrace it and show it to the world. However, I do believe what she said about getting out of your head and into your heart to be very true. I saw a lot of my analytical mind trying to make sense of everything in you, instead of discerning through feeling. Great video Sky, I loved how honest and forthright you were🔥🔥🙏🙏

walking on glass is just as simple letting go of fear. I had a fear of heights for a long time, so i went skydiving, it didnt work the first time, so i went again, it didnt work the second time either, i still had a fear of heights when being on a ladder or roof, or edge of a mountain, or roller coaster, but my fear never held me back from doing things, i guess i love the adrenalin rush from fear and attempting to conquer it, however, after taking the sky diving coarse and 21 jumps later, the fear has turned to respect and appreciation. when you step out of an airplane at 15000 feat and look down, its beyond words knowing your about to let go and free fall with the possibility of death just ahead, in my 21 jumps, i had 7 equipment malfunctions when, in the moment, never caused me fear or anxiety, when your free falling at 120 miles per hour you dont have time to panic, you just instinctively do what you were taught in the coarse. my first jump i was so frightened i almost pooped myself, for real, and you can see the fear and anxiety on my face, the moment came when the door opened and i almost passed out with fear, the instructor began telling me to move to the door and i pushed backwards, i was attached to his chest and he just pushed us both to the door and we went out, the moment we began to fall, all the fear disappeared and i was in awe, you can see my energy shift in the video and i suddenly had this huge appreciation for life and how fragile it is. you had that same look in your eyes when you stepped onto the glass, when your fear turned to "WOW im doing this". my personal opinion was this, when you asked her if you could do it, she hesitated and then made it look like she was going to guide you and give you the energy to do it because she knew its not going to cut you, the glass just flattens out under your feet and wont cut you, she knew this and didnt want to be outed. so she made it like she helped you. thats just my opinion, since i have a huge sensitive BullS*&t meter, my meter was at 100% with her. thanks for this video. you rock. peace and love. be kind to others, even if they are charlatans, your energy is your own, dont let others energy pull you down. if you treat everything with love, gratitude and compassion, you will be able to do anything. spread joy and smiles.

Sky, as usual great video! I echo everyone else's comments about your thoughtful skepticism and open mindedness. My two cents, I believe that Madonna believes she is a priestess, guru, w/e. You can feel it in her energy and see it in her eyes, she believes she is. But it's a very almost...calculated (or manufactured) presence? Not natural like the gurus we're familiar with; sadhguru, ram dass, etc. idk does anyone also think this way?

True healing gifts should be shared as well as not commercialized. God never charged anyone for his blessings and neither did Jesus. The universe simply requires us to love it's creations and it will bless us!! I've never charged a soul for my healing sessions even though I paid to learn....I did it to help those I truly love!
