That Whilshire sounds SICK!!! Those pups are killer, they sing, spit and SNARL with strut and attitude. To me those mini buckers sound the most like old PAFS when you dig in and rip on the highs and the bass response. Plus your a killer player brother, really dig your groove leads and alt atylings.

I bought a '61 SG Les Paul çopy by Epiphone.Beautiful in every way. Sound is amazing. You will love it at first, play hard ass, and you will eat the frets up. That's the difference. If you buy one, count on a fret job pretty quickly.

Epiphone makes some really underrated guitars in my opinion. My personal favorite has always been their Black Beauty, beautiful guitar and it feels amazing to play.

Not sure if they have really upped their quality (most companies are going backwards these days), but I have a 1997 Epiphone, which I bought new, and is one of the biggest pieces of crap ever made.
I have had to upgrade, replace, or otherwise repair every single component on it, all the way down to the screws and hardware, and it sees a very easy life.
