    Thumbs up who prefers old school TT celluloid game rather than modern TT...

    • @jayb293
      @jayb293 Před 3 lety

      no thanks. because the last 40 pvc ball is very good and with a good rubber you can do stuff that were seen in the 38 ball era. so TT is getting better in that aspect. the 1st gen of plastic balls were a desaster.
      between a Nittaku cellulo 40 and a Nittaku 40 pvc last gen there's almost no difference. same weight 2.7g. just harder feel and slightly faster/higher bounce.

      @@jayb293 It's a fact that PB drags in the air more than former ball. Its just a matter of physics: the bigger, the more drag.
      -The spin has lessen around 20-25%
      -Rubbers wear off way faster than before because of the plastic.
      - Lobbing specialist have extincted: there are no big lobs nowadays not even choppers or RPH such as Ryu Seung Ming or Kim Taek Soo...

      @@jonyer1980 you're obviously not playing the game. otherwise you wouldn't say that. or maybe you are really bad at the game i don't know LOL. the speed glue was eating rubber way faster back then you clown.

      @@jayb293 I've been only 30 years and still i am in. Any training ball was fine at that time even for match competition, but unfortunately every ball sucks now apart from selected/approved ones. They still differ too much from one batch to another. Even the new seamed ABS balls made in the same factory and relabeled fro different companies, they're not the same. Sure Nittaku quality is top notch, but 3€ for a single ball is just a rip-off.
      Durability was also a concern at speed glue age, but at least rubbers were cheaper and affordable. You could play with either Bryce (which was the most expensive at that time, but still affordable) or any dirty cheap speed glued Globe 999 with great results& performance. BTW, blades were way cheaper too, was speed glue didn't ruin the blade in the same way water glue does it.
      In short:
      if you don't like my opinion, then don't read it. Your disrespectful attitude makes you lame&mediocre.

      @@jonyer1980 what the actual fuck dude?! i've done my best results with the last gen of balls. and i'm an allrounder. that speaks for itself. we tried many balls at our club and we ended up with the Sanwey 3 stars. pvc seemed balls. they are absolutely perfect in terms of playability. and they are chinese. DHS are same quality but far more expensive. hence why they are used in majority on the pro scene.
      the lame person here is you. you just bla bla.
      FYI i play with Donic Bluegrip R1 both sides on a carbon hinoki blade like Rossi emotion but from another brand for which i paid 25 euros 6 years ago. i buy 2 rubbers per year (100 euros). the only thing i do is to put a thin coat of varnish heavily cutted with white spirit on the blade. i clean rubbers with acetone on a sponge and non sticky protection film in its bag.
      i just unglue them at the half season mark to boost them a lil bit and they go like new for the rest of the season. with my own saucethat costs nothing to make unlike market boosters.
      so WTF are you talking about the expensive side of the sport?? YOU make it expensive. i don't.
      if for you 100 euros + a bottle of glue at 15 euros PER YEAR is expensive for you then you need to step up your financial game my man. because this is utterly cheap. get your fact straight in the teeth.
      have a goodnight.

    Great match, terrible video editing. So many points were cut out that it was almost impossible to follow what was going on. In the 5th game, Kreanga goes up 5-1 and then all of the sudden the game's over with Primorac winning 11-7. So what happened during this remarkable comeback? We have no idea. Ridiculous.

    World ranking can have as much to do with winning a lucky tournament here and there or the decline of other players as much as a person's actual skill. I find it hard to believe that his best years were in his 30's and not his 20's. Most Chinese players retire before 30, not get better like wine.

  • @Opalance
    @Opalance Před 14 lety +1

    I dunno about his prime...he was his best in the early 90's when he and Lupi were the top doubles players in Europe and he won the world cup twice in the 90's.

    It’s strange how Kreanga is tilting his head back before his racket makes contact with the ball on his forehand side.
    Overall an unusual forehand but hitting the forehand with a stretched arm increases his racket head speed by a lot.

      @@dickn.ormous1064 you sure?? i'm French and i played for Hennebont in the same club than Kreanga. so, he had a tennis elbow and a bad shoulder that requires a physiologist and very long warm ups. these injuries with back and knees are the worst you can get in TT. at least his back and knees are ok. still to this day because he still plays.
