- Jan-Ove Waldners last competition game ever for Spårvägen/Ängby against BTK Rekord in the Swedish top division, Pingisligan.
11th February 2016.
First match against Simon Arvidsson, WR 207 at the time. Second game against Andreas Tötnkvist, WR 230 at the time.
LEGEND. HELT magisk fantastisk karriär kungen hade haft!!! Älskar honom!
I am from Slovakia, but my favourite athletes of all times are - beside Michael Schumacher and Wayne Gretzky - Ingemar Stenmark, Bjorn Borg, Ronnie Peterson and Jan - Ove Waldner.
6:50 is definition of supreme control and showmanship. Only Waldner can do this
3:45 Waldner realise everything and also confuse the camera man. Sure he saw only red and Black 🤣😂 I love Waldner so much and he is so cool czcams.com/video/7decMRAFy7E/video.html
My sincerest salute to this great player, the most formidable opponent of the Chinese players for ever
The man, the machine, the racquet, Jan Ove Waldner. Simply the greatest 🙇
Love from an ardent fan in Chennai, India 🥰
A genius and legend. He played with 6 generations of Chinese players.
Waldner was the best. Still is as a trainer.
8 generations actually.
WHO is he training ? Truls?
Love the no look shots. Just magical. Only Waldner.
Mozzart forever, it can be only one ! All the best champ ! Tt player from Serbia
J.O. Waldner. The LEGEND, the G.O.A.T.
God.Of.All.Tabletennis :)
The change of speeds is what is so intersting about Jan's game
Respekt !

Since Olimpik 1990 Jan Ove Waldner inspired me. He is the one who triggered me to play table tennis until now. During that time hw won the gold Olimpik medal.
you guys have no idea how hard it is to play like that at that age, any serious training would probably result in some kind of injuries.
What an absolute Legend of the game! The Mozart. One can learn alot from his game.
Waldner was my hero, when I was a teenager. I left table tennis like 22 years, so I didn't know that he had played until 2016 just 4 years ago. Amazing. Respect.

A Legend and the best player all time
One word for Waldner.... Superb
First time I watched him was world cup team final against China when I was in high school. China won. After the game, everyone were talking about those Swedish teenagers. His name is 瓦尔德内尔
A true legend and still my great inspirator for tabletennis.
the living legend...incredible skill..
kispy hodge lol a joke
LEGEND and a nice person, what can I say.
51, amazing, might still have been top 100? What a player, genius!
Formidable and immaculate as ever
so nice when he lost to Tornkvist and he hugged him and the kid couldn't stop smiling.
GOAT, stats don't do justice to him.
Best player ever to hold a bat.
Tony Spain Ma Long
Zhang Jike
@@ongnarukami4451 Both. Absolutely. And no one else. Ma Lin 3rd in the podium.

Legenda.Małolaci mieli zaszczyt odbijać z mistrzem.

J-O min Kung I Svensk idrott tillsammans med Peter Forsberg och Mondo!

Waldner looks a little chunky here. Enjoying the good life I would say....he deserved he was the finest controlled player of all time.
hes just getting older. even in such a shape, the legend in him still cant be contained

Waldy-Belly, still amazing
aging sucks ffs, why do we have to age, cant we just live at the peak for 80 years and than die? Fuck!!!
Why only show the points he got..
Vilken kille!!!
He was 51 yrs old at this time.
6:51 wow, no look 👏👏👏👏
does he use chinese rubber?
Pretty sure his setup would be Waldner Senso Carbo JO Shape with Coppa JO Gold on the forehand and Coppa JO Platinum on the backhand. That's what he used for a long time, from like 2001-on, I believe
Poor guy
7:33
Based on the look of it, he can beat Moregard today with some training.
Jian Wang Maybe even Falck
@@cbsxxz Are you kidding?
@@cbsxxzhahahha you re nuts
Quality of serve ???????????????????????????
Were those actual, real matches? It looked like they were often faking it - not much power at all. Then again, I just came from watching Ma Long vs. Kristian Karlsson, as well as Xu Xin vs. Hugo Calderano. lol
Ramon Bannister different levels man, can’t really compare, also different styles. Waldner is exceptional at controlling the tempo
@@Richard-hv5cq Yes, true.
It was also top division play, not world tournament play.
Vilken speluppfattning...! Godspeed J-O....!!!!
Imagine he kept a better physical conditioning and somewhat regular serious training... Easily would be in top 20 today
Michael Doe no he wouldnt be. The game passes him by already. The game today is changed so much, his style is too slow now. But regardless he is still the legend, i watched him destroying so many generations of chinese players. I have nothing but utmost respect for him.
@@yongdeng1813 Waldner adapted to so many major changes to the game throughout his carreer, i doubt he wouldnt have kept on adapting if he had the physical attributes/fitness to still play.
He would and he could. Absolutely, only because of his talent and technique, but he competes only in top 5 or 3, and that's why he's a trainer nowadays.
@@SKAVSTADEATHCREW Id it wasn't for beer.....
@@yongdeng1813hahahha he is slow go try to return one of his hits he is more tricky than anyone he doesn't just hit hard he puts crazy spin and touch on the ball not easy to play that at all no matter how "slow" ..
Saknad
good player but not the best....
The f you talking about😂
Well what do you expect at his age? Generations of Chinese player got beaten the shit out of them by waldner.
Waldner turned 51 year that year. Do you expect him to be best?
😂 you must be stoned, what did you say, again? 😂
wrong services all the way
the living legend...incredible skill..
Nice comment copy
