Its military custom to dress nice I have to because my mom was in the Navy. You do not want to wear a skirt or a dress on a plane but do not show up in pajamas or sweatpants either. You will get stared at and judged.

It get moves to a storage area from the distributor. Then it gets transport to the plane. There is also flight.
It breaks down and causes it worsen
They could clean and fill up cups
But there are signs there not to drink from the bathroom water.

When I was a few years younger than I am now, I flew alone with my little sister. I was 14-15 and she was 10-11 and it was really scary for us, although we have flown many times. The flight attendants were so nice and even gave us new seats so that it was just the two of us with three seats.

When I was 9 I was sitting alone a few rows away from my parents, and oh my god the attendants were so nice. They always made sure I was okay and near the end of the flight they brought me ice cream, I was super grateful and I still remember what one if them said to me, ‘If you grow up to be polite and kind, you’re going to ne successful’

I always ask for a can of ginger ale. They always give me one!!!

they hand out cans in different situations: 1) you ask for a SUPER fizzy drink, they don’t want to deal with pouring it 2) you’re on a fairly empty flight with not too many people 3) you ASK for a can of whatever drink, and so they give you the can 4) they are feeling especially nice!!

i used to get standby and most of the times it was pretty great, but some other times we would not be able to get on the flight because it was overbooked, so we would have to stay in the airport while our luggage was flying to where ever we were planning to fly to

Airplane hack: when they ask what you want to drink, instead of saying that you want a coke, say you want a CAN of coke. Works every time.
When I was 11 I was flying by myself and was sitting next to a stranger so they moved me to first class for free and I got free food!
I thought that is standard protocol for kids. I always sat on first class when I was pre-teen traveling alone, but it was along time ago.

I've drunk bathroom water from the sink many, many times. I'm not gonna buy a water bottle unless I really need to. Tap water is free, and there's no plastic waste to boot.

When passengers stand up immediately as parking position is called! If the seatbelt signs are on SIT DOWN!
When there are free seats (mostly in smaller aircraft) like 20 rows away from you and everyone just moves around and sits wherever they choose without the courtesy of even asking before or informing us. Some airlines have pre booked snack info based on where you’re sitting or (again with small aircraft) there are seats that are blocked to keep weight distributions equal or or or, there’s a 100 factors you don’t know about, so just DON’T assume! Always talk/ask/inform your flight attendant of anything, which just shows them that you know their job is important and you respect them..

When they started talking about asking to get into the first class that just brought up a memory for the first time I flew on a plane as an adult. I was seated next to 2 guys who were saying some really nasty things to me. So I got up and spoke to the nearest flight attendant and told him about it. He graciously escorted me to the 1st class. I also got his contact info ... it was one of the best ride of my life, hands down.

Asking to be upgraded to First Class is actually possible. My brother tried it once and his experience for the whole flight was first class while I was stuck at Business Class. I also have families who owns some parts of the airport and some who work very high on top and told me that if you just ask some people will let you upgrade, even at the desk where you get your tickets.

Chloe Whisper Aw! That's so sweet! While we are appreciative of any gift from passengers, the best experience was when someone brought us oatmeal and bananas from Jamba juice. It was a hot and healthy meal when we had a crazy long day. Chocolates are great, but most flight attendants are trying to be as healthy as they can...oh! I had a passenger bring us goodie bags. Chapstick is always awesome! Haha but seriously, we will be appreciative of whatever you bring. Also! There is 1 flight attendant per 50 seats on a plane...just so you know :) Safe travels and happy flying!!!

“Potable water” is just drinking water. It’s kept in a single tank to serve all the water sources on the plane. It’s called that to distinguish it from the grey water (the waste water from the sinks, which is not so dirty that it has to be handled as a biohazard) and the sewage (the toilet water). There is the theory that the water on planes is somehow gross because the tanks don’t get flushed but, really when was the last time you bled the water from all the plumbing in your house? The water itself is safe. The problem is the condition of the bathrooms which makes anything that comes into contact with any surface, including the taps, suspect. The coffee makers on planes also aren’t particularly well maintained and coffee tastes bad anyway because the lower cabin air pressure means that the water boils at a lower temperature, which produces a flat tasting coffee.

I love flight attendants, I have huge respect for them. I’m extremely scared of flying and I always tell them and they’re always so nice and say things to me to calm me down. They’re literally mid air therapists. Shoutout to all the flight attendants that helped me with my freaking panic attacks so far;)
I’m a flight attendant and my crews are definitely not checking out who’s the cutest during boarding. There are so many other things you are doing that there’s no time for that. Maybe seeing who might be acting strange or scared or might have a medical issue but cute, no time for that.

There was a week in my life I seriously thought about becoming a flight attendant. I looked into it...the pay especially. I dropped that thought real quick lol

I’m also a Flight attendant and will clarify some of those facts. It’s not really gross to drink the coffee on a plane. Because the water wich is used for coffee is clean. It has its own tank on board and is NOT mixed with the lavatory water Furthermore, this water is boiled. But yes, you really shouldn’t drink the water of the lavatories.
It’s a big myth, Diet Coke is hard to pour Its all about how you do it. If you got the right way it’s easy as water. How ever the biggest myth is, that we’re your personal waiters! We’re not. We’re your life insurance if something happens on board.

Once when I was flying by Jet Airways (before it went bankrupt), I wrote a great review of the service and mentioned each flight attendant's name in it over their website ( they give their WiFi while the device is in airplane mode) and was served first class drinks for free.
Sodas fizz up so much because of the lower air pressure.

I had a bad panic attack on a flight from Utah and the flight attendant brought me free tea and water to calm me down and I wish I thanked her more because I still appreciate that :)
