- In 2018 we made a DIY trip to Oman, hoping to catch fish from the shore, exploring the coastline and enjoying the beautiful landscape.
We did succeed in catching fish, although it proved to be tricky, a lot of spots being heavily exploited by with nets and fishtraps by the locals...
Nevertheless, a wonderful experience with some really nice fish!
The GoPro-footage we produced is a little rough, we used an old HERO3 and it was the first time we filmed with a GoPro. Hope you still like the result.

Ronald Michael many thanks my friend! There are a couple more people flyfishing in Oman. Ray Montoya is probably the pioneer, his reports inspired me to try it aswell. I think he also lives in Muscat. Absolutely wonderful country, you are lucky to live there!

I am from such places u have been , glad u r trying ur best to protects them place n their related fishing spots , ur rig is good enough for big gts , u have been close to such fishing spots but yet a bit far , maybe next time hopefully. Nice video btw.

Lanix Fishing Channel it is in the Dhofar Province near Salalah.
