    As a Black Bay 41 homage, it's pretty good looking (the thickness, weight, and strap make it a firm no for me). As a '58 homage, I'd grade is as F.

    Thank you Dan for another great review. Glad you're keeping an eye out for these awesome watches, the only downside is that my list of watches that I like to buy keeps getting longer 🙂
    Really amazing what these Chinese companies can produce for a great value proposition.
    As much as I would like to have the name brands' offerings, one i can't afford to have a few of my favorites, and two I wonder at times if it is warranted to spend that kind of money when you can get such good value alternatives.
    I have a rather large watch collection, inc all kinds of types and brands such as Seiko, Casio, Citizen, Bulova, etc, many microbrands, my grail watch which is an Omega Seamaster Chronograph, and now starting to get some of these Chinese pieces.
    Thank you mate for a wonderful channel, I appreciate your work, and look forward to more.

    Chame, I was waiting for a tudor homage with a 369 dizl, would jave been perfect if not that thick and so large, i mean it is the same mvmt as the submariner so it could be thinner and 39mm/40mm diam. Otherwise as you say the 369 is just great.

    • @johng5939
      @johng5939 Před 3 lety

      @@medicus1965 the reason I bought the Corgeut was due to the gilt coloured dial, font, touch of colour on the crown stem. However, off it's steel bracelet the brushed lugs don't match the polished sides of the watch, and at that thickness it's noticeable. Combined with dial slightly out of alignment, bezel action feeling sub par, non hacking etc, it's not as good value for money as other brands. It's better presented with that dial arguably. Steel dive need a gilt option (and also on the sd54m). The other point on steeldive is the great UK service. I received my watch next day after ordering!

    BB58 is 39mm, 12mm deep, 60 clicks bezel. So this one is, at best, a homage to the Heritage BB, obviously not bronze, and that's a 43mm watch.
    When one of these Chinese factories will produce an actual BB58 homage, that's gonna be a win.

    Tudor get a lot of criticism for the height of the BB. Their ETA version is slimmer. Shame this Steeldive seems to have copied one of the BB’s least popular features. Also, perhaps in time, Stealdives might consider mixing face and bezel colours.

Lume is great on the ceramic bezel and the overall and size of the watch makes it very versatile. It's subtle and classic with no cyclops. Colouring could be more vintage to go with the look, but at sub £100 it's amazing. Added to that the UK service was greatv- ordered 11.30 on a Friday. Received next day!
