Other than placing the cam to the passenger side opposed to the drivers side ( passenger side is mostly recommended), I think this is the best video of this cam going round YT. Top job mate 👍📹

This is a fantastic video. Very well thought out and thorough. I learned more from this video than from the user manual and spending time looking up the manufacturer’s videos. Only thing I don’t understand is does the camera record on its own when I start my car or do I have to press a button for it to record?

Hi. Hope you don't mind if I try to answer this. I have this dash cam and, yes the front and rear files are contained in two separate folders and can be viewed as full videos. The PIP is just for viewing purposes as you are driving. Sorry, I did not install the hardwire kit. I know this is late but I hope it helps.

hi brother - how the camera performs at night? are you able to read the number plates clearly at night? is it truly delivers 4k resolution in the videos? how much you will rate? how the suction cup works?
Yes the front camera is 4K and is very clear to read the license plates. the rear camera es the one that is less resolution 1080p so it's a little more blurry at night but you can still can read the license plate when the car is close to the camera. Thanks👍

@@Shinegadget this is not true, F7N uses Sony IMX335 sensor which is for 2K resolution, not 4K. They just upscale it to 4K and this is quite a low quality marketing trick and doesn't make practical sense.

128gb micro SD card, it could record more than 8 days, but it all depends on how many hours you drive per day.
The camera is supposed to automatically delete older videos freeing up space without you doing it manually

well for that you will need a hardwire kit to power the camera and turn on the parking mode on, on the settings and the camera will be on 👍
Can you tell me how you turn wifi back off after you’re done downloading the videos? I try to turn off the wifi through settings but I get an error message blocking me from the settings unless i turn off my ignition and turn it back off again.

You need to be near it because the camera itself puts out its own signal for you to connect to. The camera doesn't connect to your Wi-Fi signal.

Yes you can but if you want to download the videos you have to stop recording in order to download the video. thanks
How much is the back cam affected by the window tint ?
Not much! I have 15% tint on the rear of my car and it barely affects it!
I have a pretty dark tint and it works just fine!

No, only turn the wifi when you want to connect the app to download the videos
I bought the F7NP and unfortunately discovered that it only really works with the associated power supply. If you drive an electric vehicle, there is no cigarette lighter, only USB-C charging points. If you connect the dashcam to these and try to supply it with voltage, it unfortunately doesn't respond. And since this is a company vehicle, I'm not allowed to add anything about the vehicle's technology (Redtiger F7N dashcam hardwire kit). So no function without a cigarette lighter.
You can buy a converter I’m sure or do some at home splicing yourself. Just check the voltage ratios between the two.
Can you tell the camera to save a video clip while driving?
The videos are saved automatically. You can “lock” or bookmark a video while driving and/or after driving via the app or the camera itself.
@@ale_hondra as I’m driving if something happens I want to save immediately can I do that and how?
@@rickv6895 press the “up” button which is the top right button and it will lock it. When you do that you will see that a a symbol of a lock 🔒 in the middle of the screen. On the app, it will save that video in its own section so is it easier to find.

That would require access to the Internet, which the device isn't capable of.

The problem with connecting the dash cam to your phone is that if you are using Android Auto with your phone, Android Auto will disconnect when the dash cam connects- you can’t run both simultaneously. I need a dash cam that works in conjunction with the Android Auto.
