Are the Taurus pistols any good? In this video, we're taking a look at the Taurus G3X, G3C, and G3 to see if they're any good. Let's see if they have the durability, reliabality, and overall good quality that Taurus has been working towards.
In this video we will talk about the G3c, G3c, G3, GX4 and how they have held up after a few thousand rounds through them. Overall I have round the quality to be good for the price point.
Who knows, maybe you'll find a great gun that you were looking for at Taurus Firearms!

Really glad to see the G series getting this attention. these are great guns that over perform for their price point. I have a G3C i have had no issues with and I’m considering the GX4. I even grabbed a CAA MCK for my G3C for home. Good on ya for showcasing an affordable option. Not everybody can afford Shadow Systems or the like.
Thanks for watching man. The GX4 is a solid rig much cleaner of a design.
I have two G3C’s, one is a TORO, TX22 and a GX4 TORO Love them all but the GX4 is awesome!! I bought a Lakeline ported barrel and it’s just a nice improvement IMO! You wont be disappointed in the GX4!
@@TacticalConsiderations I have to agree with your assessment of the GX4. I went to a rental range and put it against the Max-9, Shield Plus, Hellcat, 43x, and Sig XL only to find that its ergonomics and trigger were better than most of the other offerings.
I place the GX4 tied with the shield plus for best ergonomics and at the top of the list for best stock trigger IMO. I placed the Max-9 tied with the Hellcat for best stock iron sights. That HiViz fiber optic/tritium hybrid front sight on the Max9 is awesome and the U-notch on the Springfield is so easy on the eyes compared to squared notch be it blacked out, 3 dot, or goal post. The only rear sight I like better than the U-notch is an Express with a tritium tube (dot the i).
I think if Taurus were to take the frame geometry and design of the GX4 and TX22 and make a new series of true double stack 9mms to replace the G3 line they would fly off the shelves like crazy; especially, if they utilized the GX4 trigger group. That double strike feature is not worth the added initial takeup when in single action. The G3C trigger otherwise is very nice with a crisp break and reasonably short reset that is audible and tactile. I just think that the Millenium based G series of pistols has had its run and needs a total makeover and the styling of the TX22 and GX4 are excellent cues to go by.
@Lawrence Arnell I have owned several G series pistols and not for nothing every single one has been 100% reliable. The biggest problem with them is lack of commercial branded aftermarket support. I think if there were more options for performance upgrades that they would become far more popular across the board. I think that why most people turn their heads is that they can't modify it the way they can a Glock, Springfield, CZ, M&P, or P320.
I think that the aftermarket manufacturers don't see the point in making triggers like an Apex Flatty, fluted barrels like a Salient, and so forth because of the retail price of the firearm. They can't picture the person who buys a 245 dollar pistol paying 175 bucks for a trigger or 200 bucks for a barrel. My answer to that is why wouldn't someone do this? They could build their ultimate carry pistol for roughly the same money that it costs for a stock PDP or VP9, versus the 1.5 to 2.5k that it costs to build a Gucci Glock.
You also have to consider this, if a person buys a T.O.R.O model G3 variant for say 325 or so and then puts a Holosun 507c x2 on it, they spent 55 bucks more on an optic than they did the pistol it rides on and still came in less than the cost of a 365 xl macro.
I look at it like this not everyone wants to spend 600 to 700 bucks for a name on a frame to then sink another 600 into it to make it perform the way they want it to when the can buy just as reliable of a firearm for 1/3 the price and have everything they wanted performance wise done to it for 5/8ths the total cost. JMO.
Me too I started my CZcams channel on the g series pistol s and they eat me alive talk so bad about them I stuck with and now they are getting play love Joe price stay same
I have most of the G series and love all of them. 1000’s of rounds through each with absolutely No issues whatsoever 👍
I have had like 3 feeding issues but nothing since.
@@TacticalConsiderations I had been hearing about that issue and the culprit seemed to be the feed ramp. I make sure mine are polished at every cleaning
Same here. The G series are some of my favorite pistols. The compact was in my carry rotation, the full size was one of my road trip pistols, and I’ve probably put the same amount of rounds through the G3s as my Glocks. Taurus killed it with the G3 series.
@@TacticalConsiderations I have seen Glocks on the range with more feed problems than that. Haha. More than likely the pistol just needed wearing in. My G2c has been great after over 600 rounds of all kinds of ammo its still flawless. I tell folks the more rounds you can get through them the smoother everything gets and yes they do need cleaning and some lube.
The GX4 is nice, had it out at the range this past weekend
I have 2 of the G3's. Full size. And yes they are very reliable. I've never had 1 problem out of mine. It's my go to carry pistol. I just bought my wife the compact version.
Nice glad they are working out for you.
I have been able to test all of the Taurus G3 pistols and found them to be even better than I expected. The quality of Taurus products seems to be getting better with every new release and they are a great value for the money. Thanks for the video!
The quality has definitely gotten better. I appreciate you watching.
@@TacticalConsiderations what about the Taurus millimum. 40cal?
I personally carry a hellcat or Glock 43x but I took my buddy to the shop the other day to buy his first pistol and he didn’t want anything to expensive I recommended the g3c. Haven’t taken it out yet with him but he seemed very happy and I think for the price they are hard to beat. Canik and Taurus are really changing the game
Well hopefull your buddy likes it.
I have hellcat and a g3c. I like both of them. Finding myself carrying the g3c more lately though. Couple of things he can do is pick up a stainless steel guide rod/spring from lakeline. They also sell a stainless striker guide. Those should improve reliability a bit and possibly trigger feel as well.
@@Averagedude-mi3fl you’re not the first person I’ve seen say that. I’ve seen that a lot with the Taurus gx4 as well. Taurus makes great carrying pieces now and are here to stay
@@Draxzy hopefully so. Honestly when you look at what you get, I looked on buds just now and you can get a brown/black g2c for example for 236. When you consider something like that, that’s not much more than a high point. Sure you are talking a little extra but I’d say you get a more full features and pretty reliable carry gun for that. For me it makes them a go to recommendation if someone wants something decent but doesn’t have a lot to spend.
@@Averagedude-mi3fl buds has got great deals if I shop online I look their or classic firearms. if anyone ever tells me they have 300$ to spend and just need a reliable good pistol I tell them to get a taurus. If they tell me they want to spend a little more I tell them to get a Glock or canik. I gotta get a taurus to try for myself but I’ve been looking at the Psa daggers recently and might have to pull the trigger on that first
Glad to see them getting recognition, the G3 is my first handgun I purchased. Got it for right around 280-300 and I love the thing.
They have been solid.

Same I put a down payment and now I have it layaway at my local rural king
@@2003.K you won’t regret it man, it’s been such a great budget pistol man.
@Dustin Walker I can tell I've been doing plenty of research on it and I'm glad I made the right choice
My stepdaughter bought a G3C 3 days ago. So far, she enjoys it. She's already put about 60-75 rounds through it so far.
Good to hear. Its a solid starter for sure
My Taurus G3C and my sons G2C are amazingly reliable weapons! My first mag thru the G3c was terrible. After a cleaning of the G3C and more shots thru the pipe to loosen up factory tightness it has performed flawlessly.
Glad you are enjoying them.
That's why I always clean the factory gunk out as soon as it comes home. I did that with all my G series and every single shot has been great.
I just got the g3c for CC and took it to the range it was horrible it kept getting stuck feed and loading. You think if I clean it real good that will fix the issue?
@@taylorm_2892hey how’s your gun performing now?
The one thing you forgot to mention about Taurus pistols is the lifetime warranty. I fired a couple thousand rounds through my G3 and started to have problems with feeding. I finally sent it back to Taurus in Georgia where they put in a new spring and some other things and now it is back to normal. I did fire a lot of Tula ammo at first so that may have had something to do with it.
Oh I thought I tossed that in there. Thanks for catching that.
Always do a ammo research on what type ammo Taurus G3 and G3c will take. Try Hornady and Black Hills ammo. Stay away from the range CCI garbage.
@@othagreen6039if the pistol is in working condition it will run any 9mm rounds. My g2 and g3 eat anything as well as my spectrum 380 and tcp380
I’ve fired 2000 rounds no problem | FMJ , HOLLOW POINTS & All no failures ✅
I purchased a G2C three plus years ago. I just couldn't believe how cheap they were and figured it would fall apart. I hated the trigger but liked the overall feel of the gun. The trigger was so bad I bought a 43x to carry. A buddy turned me onto "Keep Tinkering" triggers for the G2C and Wow it was a huge difference. Best $35.00 upgrade ever and now I shoot it better than the 43x! I have well over 1000 rounds and it runs great. I feel 100% comfortable carrying it now. Thanks for another solid review.
I need to check out those and a couple other parts for these. Thanks for watching.
I like the trigger for my carry gun. Practice till the mind forgets and the body remembers.
I will venture to say that the vast majority of all shooters will not care what there trigger pull is when bullets are buzzing their ears.
"Hold on bad guy. We need to pause till I get my super light trigger pull Wilson Combat 1911."
"Ok, we can start shooting again."
I got my wife the G2S and liked it so much I went out and got the G3C. Never had any problems with either, great weapon for the price. Thanks for the extended testing!
Glad you both are enjoying them.
Gonna buy mine today..Thank you for the info.
Enjoy.
I have a G3C and have had for over a year. Lots of rounds through it and I like shooting it! Good cheap and reliable. Fun to shoot. My carry is a Shield Plus but for "Plinking" Taurus is good, Not a single problem with it!
Good to hear.
Great video.
I’m a long time CZ owner.
Just recently bought GX4 and G3 and I’m very impressed with them. I still love my CZ’s but Taurus cannot be overlooked.
CZ is always a solid choice. The GX4 is a big change for taurus and much needed.
I just got a G3 have watched a couple of your videos about them and they have really helped me understand the functions and cleaning of the firearm . Thanks its been very useful!
Happy to have helped.
Great video! Love Taurus. Had a G2C that got stolen. Got a G3 now
I grabbed a couple G3's after some good experiences with them.$ 259 each was well spent. Nice grip angle,I like the grip texture too.The frame ergos are nice, plenty of places to hold onto comfortably.Fits my hands better than my gen 3 G19's.My big knuckles ride the finger bumps on my smaller Glocks. One came with Glock style sights, the other has the other G3 style sights. You are so right about cleaning them a lot especially when they're new...they need it!Grabbed a TORO slide on sale to have fun with my optics. I like their plate system;works well and can accommodate just about any optic off the market I can think of. I actually like their mounting plate system better than my Walther pdp which makes me scratch my head a little considering the Taurus is half the cost. The takedown is like my Glocks and any Glock owner will feel comfortable taking the Taurus apart. Thanks for this video Mike. As always great info with a well rounded perspective.
That is a solid price. Cleaning is a must for sure. And the ability to get a full toro slide is pretty nice.
Thank you for a clear and detailed comparison. An added benefit to this series of pistols, that is not often mentioned, is the advantage of the restrike feature for dry fire practice. It eliminates the need to rerack for every trigger pull and simulates the continuous action of range shooting.
I appreciate you watching commenting a restart can be used for training for sure
I’ve always been a left leaning guy, was never into guns. However recently I’ve been learning about guns, starting from scratch. Sifting through all the large amounts of CZcams context is daunting, but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by your videos. I appreciate the content, straight forward approach, open minded approach to models like Taurus. For someone on a budget like me, I’m glad Taurus makes a good gun. Now, if someone could do something about the expensive 9mm ammo. 😮 had no clue ammo was that expensive. Still debating if my first gun should be one of the G3s or the TX22 (just so I could afford to shoot it more often) 🤔
Well I am glad you are looking into it. There are lots of options out there .. When it comes to those two you have to think about what you intended purpose is. If you just want to plink away at the range for fun the 22 stuff is really a great way to go that way in the future you can get into a 9mm. If you are looking for something for carry or home protection the 9 is the way to go .
Get it. And don't worry about ammo cost. It's like furl for your car. Necessary. And 9 is cheapest of the rounds that's considered acceptable for personal defense.
Appreciate the bonus advice! All the best.
What does being leftist have to do with liking guns? It's part of the constitution. Shouldn't be political.
Yes why would you lean towards not being able to defend yourself 😅@@JuanGonzalez-cl4md
Very good news and video. Thanks a bunch. This is good news as you said for budget strapped people to get a decent firearm. I was intrigued with their G3XL, shorter grip but full length barrel. Seems that would be a decent carry option since the grip is the printing part of the gun. I would suspect it will work just like the other models. (?)
Merry Christmas to the all the Patriots subscribing here, and to Mike for making the videos. My Christmas wish is for everyone and those they love, to stay safe, stay alert, stay well, and prosper into 2023.
Thanks for commenting and watching. I appreciate the support.
Mike, another great review... fact filled, to the point, easy to follow. Nice job!
Much appreciated. Its important to do these long term videos for us all.
People love those guns. I got a couple of coworkers that own quite a few and swear by em. I've always said I would've preferred the Canik over the Taurus G Series But they've since raised the price on the Canik. so I guess. The G Series is the best of the budget striker fire handguns? Me, I'm gonna rock the hellcat or my Shield 2.0
Canik is a very nice set up but they have gone up a lot in price.
He’s 100 percent right about keeping your Taurus clean, I purchased the G2C and it jammed a lot . So I gave it a good cleaning and took it back to the range, it stopped jamming. I thought after shooting 150 round’s didn’t think I had to clean it and lube it. It will jam if no lubrication and no cleaning to your Taurus.
Yup it seems to need a bit more lube until the first 500 rounds than others.
Thanks for the Really comprehensive review, great job explaining in layman’s terms what exactly you were talking about an your rationale concerning price vs reliability.
Thanks
I appreciate that support.
Thanks for making these videos. As a first time gun owner, I've used your videos for my own references to help me with purchasing decisions. I get great value and education out of them. I appreciate you, keep doin what you do! 👍🏾
Also, hope you had a wonderful Christmas!
I appreciate that hope you had a great Christmas.
@@TacticalConsiderations sec, as
G3C' s are going for crazy cheap right now. I've got my carry guns that I want right now, but it might be worth buying one just to have around.
I have had a good experience with them. Not refined like an HK but sure has worked
What sights would you recommend for the g3c I have one and the rear sight can move by hand……thanks for the video and response. Gotcha a new follower here
Glock sites should fit . Look into steel city arsenal
Very informative and well done video Big Guy keep them coming and we will keep watching!!!😎
Thanks, will do!
That double-strike capability is nice if you have one of those laser dry-fire systems...you don't have to rack the slide for each shot, just leave the laser cartridge in the chamber and click away...
yeah dry fire with that double strike is nice.
I just purchased a G3 a week ago and im loving it. I’ve always been a 9mm type girl and I’ve always usually carried the G2. But me personally I love the G3 much better then any G2 I’ve ever had !
The G3 series is a solid upgrade for Taurus. Have you tried the GX4.
Been thinking of buying the taurus g3c. This video is definitely helping me with this decision.
Hope it works out.
Thanks TC enjoyed it I only had trouble with my G3x cleaned it and no problems since
Glad it helped
Enjoyed your video. Bought my G3C in June 2022, have about 600 rounds downrange, both FMJ amd JHP, and not one issue. Haven't found anything I don't like about it. Way fun to shoot, and I'm betting my life on it 👍
Awesome glad to hear it
Another good video. 👍. I purchased the original PT 111, many years ago, which morphed into the G series. 1000's of rounds & it is still running great. Just keep it clean.
Glad you are still enjoying that one.
Thanks for the video! 👍👍 Just subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
I watched the entire video on the G2C slide catch. I am thoroughly impressed with the amount of information provided in this video. As a novice to a handgun it was very beneficial and it resolved my issue completely. After learning what I needed to know I continued to watch the entire video. I’m actually watching it again as I type this message.
At the end of the video you made a comment about you hoped it helped someone or you just wasted your time. Well… I’m the one who wanted, needed and learned so much from you. I read the owners manual however, I learned so much more by watching, listening and practicing what you did myself.
Again, I thank you very much for this video. You made me feel much more comfortable with my firearm.
Well I am happy you learned something and found the video helpful. I appreciate the support and thank you for watching.
Good honest review! I have several Taurus firearms and they're all great. I have a TH9, G2C, G3C, 605, 856 and a GX4.
Glad to hear you are enjoying your set ups.
Taurus has come a long way from the millennium series! Great video!!💯🇺🇸
Yes they have.
Cool man, got lots of information on taurus pistols, from your video. Now I know what to expect and would be a great range gun and for home use. Thanks again awesome video!
Happy to help.
Great video!! I bought a G3c last Xmas from PSA for $170, I haven't fired it yet, I'll be sure to clean it before I take it out to the range, thanks for the tip. I watched your cleaning video as well. Thanks !!
wow solid price.
G3c is one of my EDC. I also have the G2C, which have both been top notch, in regards to performance and reliability.
Maybe one or two malfunctions during the break in period, but nothing major.
They pretty much shoot anything that I feed them. Im looking to purchase the G3 next. Taurus are seriously producing some very good quality firearms, in my opinion.
Glad to hear you are enjoying them. They have done well with the G3 series for sure.
G3C for me, and i have been very happy with it honestly. I actually bought this pistol to take with me on my motorcycle, thinking if someone broke into my saddlebags i would not be out 5-800 dollars. At this point with a thousand rounds through the gun, i would carry if something happened to my current EDC and feel confident it would do the job if needed. Thanks for the vid.
Very cool glad you are having the same experience I am with it.
This was a well done video love how covered all the aspects of all the models now I know what to look for
I really appreciate that.
Aye you now have a new fan this was broken down very easy and understanding took the time to explain and educate other gun channels just shoot and be like is a decent fire arm with no explanation im now looking into more of your videos thanks for the break downs
Thanks glad you like the video.
@@TacticalConsiderations I also own ruby red blood spatter 3gc I like it awesome gun mines was a little bit more than the others but worth it
I have a G3 and haven't had any problems with it. I changed out the trigger and it made a big improvement in it over all. It does take away the 2nd strike but I never cared for it anyway. I liked mine so much I put Holoson 507 on it. Great stuff your putting out.
I never use second strike either. I do wish they would get rid of that and make the trigger more like the GX4
@@TacticalConsiderations I got the keep tinkering trigger for like $20.00 - 30.00 dollars and it really makes the gun much better, shorter travel, smother pull.
It's much better if you replace the guide rod assembly with the stainless steel from Lakeline llc. You won't regret it.
I picked up the base G3C for less then $200 after their holiday rebate. Love it , it’s a great little shooter , very reliable and fits like a glove.
Wow that's a really good price.
I turned my lgs on to the G3c release. They looked it up and ordered 6 and I got mine for their cost for helping them. I walked out with it brand new for under $160.
Absolutely spot on advice about the cleaning and lubing tip. As was discussed, my G3C was quite dirty from the factory. I cleaned it before using it the first time, and thought I had lubed it properly, and well. Apparently I missed something, as when I went to the range, the gun locked up on me. The range officer broke it down for me, and applied a bit more lube, and the gun shot very well afterwards - accurately and with no jams. I have tried a few different brands of ammo in both 115 and 124 grain, and have not had an issue with any after that first lock up.
The only other thing that wasn't perfect right out of the box was that the front sight was loose. So I'd add to make sure and check that the screw holding the sight is adequately tightened when you do the first couple of cleanings and lubing before use.
Cleaning is a must on these. The site thing seems to be very common right now. I am not sure what is going on but it appears they are not using thread locker or even quality checking front sites right now.
Awesome learned so much really like the content. I'm getting the G3x for conceal carry. Thanks, Primo
No problem. Hope you enjoy it. Give it some love when you get it in the way of cleaning and lube before you hit the range.
I bought a G3C a year ago and I love it. I also have a G43 and I find the grip, sights and trigger to be better than the G43. And for only being a little bit bigger, you get double the capacity.
Thanks for sharing
I have one of the g2c and a g3 full size. Only couple of malfunctions I have had have been bad primers. Great pistols in my opinion. Will be adding a g3 tactical to the collection whenever I see one in a local shop. Will probably add a g3c as well
Hope you can find that tactical model soon.
Got a G3c and love it. Just like the g2c and g2 g3

At the price point they are performing very well.

Dang brother…probably the most extensive video on these Taurus pistols I’ve seen. I’ve shot the G2 series a good bit and never cared for the trigger. The G3 seems far superior in the trigger department. Awesome video on these!
The G3 is pretty solid at its price point. The GX4 is much nicer for sure.
The Keep Tinkering trigger fixes that issue.
Taurus is very reliable, I been shooting 800+ rds on my G3C with zero issues.

Happy new year
Going on 2 years in May with the g3c and my first 2 to 4 mags I had a couple failure to feeds. Cleaned it and lubricated the gun and I have not had a problem since. Great little gun.
Glad to hear it.
I used a buddies Taurus G2C for my Concealed Carry class and it fired every round flawlessly and the kicker is my Buddy told me after he didn’t clean it in about 6 months before the class. I got the G3C after that came out. Love it and rotate it with my Glock 48.
Well glad you got to test it. Cleaning is very important. Even thought you can go long periods without doing it and have personally tested AR's and Pistols with zero cleaning for months on end I would never do that or carry purposes.
Just made and put a magwell finally on my G3 and love it. Also have a G2c/3c as well. Taurus is getting better and better.
Glad to hear you like it.
Loved the review. I enjoy my Taurus so far and want get a collection of this series before a I get me a 911.

Thanks for watching. Have a great holiday season and enjoy some range time.
I own all three and love them!! No jambs or anything negative. For the price you can't go to.
Great review on the G3s, I have a G3 and didn't care for the sights and installed front and rear Lakeline fiber optics that helped me alot with old eyes. After about 300 rds the ejector broke off flush with the body, I got the gun back from Taurus in about 2 weeks and ran 100rds and worked fine, but I won't have total faiith in it till after another 400 rds. Things happen and it sticks in your head. Outside of this it has been 100% reliable and for the money well worth it.
I definitely understand that. Were you running steel ammo by chance?
Good video man. It was pretty in depth. I have a g3c and I find the slide catch to be a little too small for my taste, but i guess it has its purpose. I can't wait to take it through the range.
Hope you enjoy it. These have been solid and at the price its good to see a reliable option for people on limited budget or who are just testing the waters with ownership.

My Taurus G3C was the first pistol I bought. I inherited my dads Glock 21 but I wanted a smaller pistol before I fired the Glock. I love my G3C. I watched your video on how to clean it and I do so after every range trip. Now watching this video I know I have a great pistol. The only issue I’ve had is a pin under the take down lever came loose. I took it to a gun smith and he fixed it and I haven’t had a repeat of that problem.
hopefully it continues to serve you well.
Thank you so much. I want that tactical model
Its been solid for me.
Picked up a G3C a short while back. Cleaned a couple times before the first range trip as the productions leftovers were very visible. Sent 300-400 rounds of ball ammo through it with zero issue. 115, 124, & 147 of different mfgs. Also sent about 100 rounds of various JHP defense ammo through it...even 135gr Critical Duty...all cycled flawlessly. Replaced the factory sights with Ameriglos and it's dead-nuts on. I have zero complaints about this pistol and it's in my carry rotation.
Thanks for the extended review.
Awesome glad to hear you got it all tuned in.
Good video, G3 or Springfield armory xdm elite?
Thanks William
Subbed
Springfield.
I bought mine about two weeks ago, and went from the store, too the range, without lubing it, and fired 100rds through it without any failures. Actually found it shoot this one better than my Glock 19. Only time will tell if it'll stand up too the test of time.
Well I am glad your first range trip went well. Time will definitely tell how it will go. I'm about 2 years in on mine.
Just got a G3C for $214!!!! What a value!! Will definitely clean her up a few times just like you said. Thanks for the great video!!🎉
Nice.
I don’t personally own any of the G series but I’m glad they exist. A good affordable striker fired option with strong aftermarket support.
I own their TX22 and absolutely love that little plinker
That TX22 is a great little set up as well. So much fun and cheap.
I just purchased my first Taurus. It is the G3C. I brought it home and before firing I tore it down and it appeared really dry. It definitely needs cleaning before you take it out.
I'm heading out today to run my first tests on it with some Federal FMJ and Hornady Critical Defense.
Great vid. Thanks.
Much appreciated.
Very happy with mine got it in 22 love it
Very cool
Very nice video. Thank you for the review..
I appreciate you watching.
Picking up my G3C Saturday to add to my collection. Can't wait to try it out! Thanks for another great video
It’s okay nothing special
@@calvinnelsonjr6465 yeah I have a g3c. Really nothing special at all. It eats what I put in and shoots when I pull the trigger. Nuff said.
@@rodvazquez332 yeah It’s what you said!! Imma keep mine most I’d get is 100$ for it. Good bug out gun. Or if you gotta take it apart and throw it in the river
well get it cleaned, lubed and ready to roll. Enjoy the holidays.
Good words man Good words. Better safe than sorry! 😉 I’ve had thePT111 G2 for years and years. Many trips to the range. Never any trouble yet! 😉 Don’t know how many rounds, but thousands for sure. Been subbed for years, sharing.
Thanks for sharing
@@TacticalConsiderations you bet!😉😉😉 Had to watch again. I like the lake line support for these guns. Now we need to change the Law in Illinois. No hush puppies for us! 😡😡😡
I trust it with my life. Carried everyday.
Good to hear.
Very informative video, well done!
Glad you liked it!
great video clear and easily digestible for new gun owner
Much appreciated.
I got a G2C with over 15,000 rounds with no breakage even put the G3C toro on the G2C frame love my Taurus also got the 40 cal both get the mcarbo spring kit now but the gSeries good pistol !!!
Glad to hear it.
Thank you so much for this. I am looking into getting a personal protection firearm with a limited budget. Would this be a good beginner pistol? With little to no experience at all? I'm taking a firearm safety course and slowly getting into the world of guns theres so much to learn! Much love just subbed
This is a great option for what you are looking for.
I've had a g2c and now a g3c never had a failure to fire or jam with any rounds.... Except Winchester ball ammo I picked up for target practice. Had several failure to fires and feeding issues. Definitely was the ammo because had same issues when used in other guns. I've put over 5000 rounds through the 2 I've had and trust the G series with my life.
Glad to hear you have had good luck with them. I have only heard about specifically v crown style ammo causing problems.
great review i own a G3 and have no complains at all, goes bang every time
Glad to hear it.
Hey! Great coverage on the Taurus. I was thinking about getting one for my wife. Anyways I left you a comment on your holster video with a couple questions. Lmk if you have any courses yourself or give consultations at all, I think she’d really appreciate a knowledgeable person who is empathetic towards people new to shooting.
Gotcha man. I responded in there .
When I stumbled upon the Taurus G series I was actually looking for a few certain Glocks. When I couldn't find what I was looking for I seen the G3 at my LGS. I will never regret buying it. Turned out to be a less expensive Glock in my opinion. Since then I bought the G2c and then pre-ordered the G3c which is now my edc pistol. I've put well over 1500 rds through each one without a single malfunction. Made a couple of small upgrades and I think they're the perfect carry guns now. And my G3 and G2c(better half used) out preformed Glocks when we did our local ccw class.
Glad the G3 Series is working out for you.
Have two G2 Millenium's - the wife has to have one of whatever I buy - and it's been my carry pistol for about 6 years now. It fits perfectly in a Kydex IWB and is very comfortable to carry. The accuracy is very acceptable to about 30 yards. I shoot only Federal Ammo because I just like 'em. Other pistols I try to use CCI when I can get them, particularly in smaller calibers than 9mm. I love my Taurus and have recommended them every time someone asks me about an inexpensive, good firearm to purchase. I use white lithium grease on the slide, which seems to work well in reducing coating wear and providing excellent lubricity. It also helps in preservation since IWB holsters (here in Texas) will trap any perspiration and may cause negative effects.
Lithium grease is definitely a slick product to use.
I purchased a G3 full size. Thanks for the info I will go lubricate it before I take it to the range. Thanks for the tip. Great advice
Sure thing. Hope you enjoy the range day.
I liked this a lot, I had a choice price wise between one of these, an the stoeger str-9c, witch i later found was connected to beretta,
it is mainly a long tool or shot tool company tho, but they are diving into the hg market i guess,
an I later did research because out of the 2 options I ended up going with the stoeger over the Taurus, witch I like name brand wise better, or I did,
only because of 1 thing, an that 1 thing is a safety, witch as baffling as it is, the Taurus in that price range doesn't have one, witch is such a shame, cause I almost went with it, but that lack of a safety just made me keep looking, now many may not care about that, but for me, I did, an the stoeger had one, plus it looks an feels like a glock, for way way less, so that is why I went with it over the Taurus,
an I am very happy I did, but the stoeger str-9c, any of the ones in that series, have what some would consider a big draw back, 1 draw back, an that is lack of after market accessories an mags, but it isn't that bad, I will explain,
both the Taurus an the stoeger str-9c an thier other versions in the family look amazing,
especially for the price, an the quality on both is top notch,
the stoeger feels amazing in hand tho at least to me, my hands are in the middle, it just feels right in the hand,
with the stoeger line you have a bunch of options for the base hg as well, from a slightly more expensive optics ready model, to the base str 9c that still has s bottom rail, for light etc. to the reg full size str 9, to a set that comes with 2 extra mags, an 3 or 4 extra interchangeable grips, witch looks awesome, witch if you ever choose stoeger an could find that set with the extra mags,, go with that set because that is the only draw back in my mind, everything else seems perfect,
it's just that the clips are pretty difficult to find for most,
you have to order them from thier website or a few other places, but I mainly trust thier website, I got a extra one from there an it shipped fast, within a week, I wanna get another one, they feel amazing, the quality on the mags is top notch,
anyway, that is the only thing that may set it back in some peoples minds, the accessories are rare, because it is a smaller newer company, an thier stuff sells out pretty fast, I would say that is because of how good the quality is, but I do wish stuff was more readily available,
out of all accessories for the str line, they only had the 15 rounder, an that was it, 10, 13 with the pinky grip, at this time are just sold out, an that is what most people say is thier issue with this, everything is great, it lasts, it's just the lack of mag options,
an for the 15, you are looking at about 40 ish with shipping included, witch is the biggest downside of the stoeger str series, because far as I know, without custom work to other mag, witch seems iffy but people talk about it,, but seems like no other after market mag works for it without custom work, even tho it is very glock like, you would think they would work, but no, witch is such a shame,
because the str is amazing, the quality is top notch, you don't even feel like you got a budget tool,
but yeah at the end of the day, I'm still extremely happy I went with the str-9,
even knowing the mag issue I would still make the same choice, but the Taurus is still a cool tool, I may one day soon get it just because both are cool,
for a first purchase or for people that don't wanna spend a lot, or can't spend a lot, that still want something quality, I don't know how you could go wrong with either option, especially the stoeger
Well I am glad you got what you needed . Ultimately it's a very important decision and you have to go about it your own way
Amazing video 👍 i have the G3 Full & G3C over 2000 round each and I LOVE IT, no problem.
Awesome glad you like them.
