A trailer that doesn't give away the whole movie but giving just enough to wrap you into seeing it. Great cast. Definitely will be watching this.
Gives just enough for me to remember the British TV series with exactly the same plot, after looking it up it seems it is based on it.
Netflix has been getting good at doing that. At least with the movies that are actually good.

I’m a grown ass man and from the moment Sandra and Viola had the last scenes at the house all the way till the very end of the movie and a half hour after I’m still crying my eyes out. Sandra Bullock is phenomenal and Viola Davis is simply flawless!!!

Confrontations with almost everybody as she gets her life back on track. The only moment left to mystery is if she sees her sister again. So I guess you're right, not the whole movie.

Incredibly powerful film! Sandra Bullock's performance is like nothing before. The entire story is captivating and moving.
Viola Davis as always, did an amazing performance.
Not to mention the end. You wouldn't expect it. This is a beautiful tale of love, real and unconditional love between siblings, and the willingness to sacrifice your own life for the betterment of your loved ones.
A must see film! And, hopefully it will shake your soul to the core to believe to give a second chance to others. We as humanity, can and should do better for each other.

Any movie where Sandra’s character is in a desperate, survival-type situation or just plain broken,, is an absolute must-see. Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic can suck it for giving this a low rating. This was so good.

I found this on Netflix it was rated number one in the US out of the top 10 and I'm glad I found it. What a story line, great writing, acting and directing here. I wish I could give it more than just a thumbs up on Netflix as I believe it deserves more than that. Very touching movie, I would rate it 12 stars out of 10. Tragic but beautiful story!

Saddest thing is that Slater(Sandra)suffer 20yrs prison for her young sister's accidental crime..what a sacrifice l cried a lot makes me think what agony she's been through..

The movie was good with good acting but the story line is so stupid. Had she told the truth nothing would have happened, she would have been with her sister in a year or so when she turned 18. Horrible writing
i cried so hard after watching it. like literally 10 minutes of sobbing hardcore straight. cried throughout the movie too. absolutely beautiful

What a cast. And I'm a sucker for stories of redemption, or not redemption. A plot that will finally let Bullock actually act, she is so under-rated, and here with Viola Davis and more. This could be really powerful.

I cannot forgive the ultra beautiful Sandra Bullock for that miserable stint she did in Miss Congeniality 2 where she sat in a wheelchair and dressed like an old lady and acted so creepy! A beautiful lady never should be made homely. Horrible tragic scene.
Wow. I cried for the last 10 minutes of this movie, non stop. It didn't happen to me for really long time. The best Sandra Bullock performance. The story is not the way I expected it turn out. This is really good one, should be an Oscar nominee.
This story is well written, the screen play is perfectly presented. And my eyes sores for an hour... Congratulations to the actors, directors and producers.

The director is also quite famous here in Germany, because she directed „Systemsprenger“, a remarkable film about a young girl searching for love but terrifies all around her. This film was HUGE success, so i am looking really forward to this one!

I never watch this type of film on a Saturday night but I did being drawn by the scope of the the talented cast ensemble and the thought of D'Onofio playing a nice person a ruse. Not only was I glad I did and proven wrong this whole cast was off the charts with this fabulous storytelling. Sandra was astounding in her portrayal probably her best ever character. Jon Blumenthal continues to prove he has the acting chops to make real any role he steps though we do need him to be The Punisher many more times. Viola Davis shines in her few moments and underserved role. I'm glad I made this exception.
What a great movie and a stunning performance of Sandra! She absolutely deserves an Oscar for this awesome masterpiece... She transcends herself as an actress...
