don't miss "Oncom" when you're in Bandung, it's the one Sundanese's specialty that's no foreign knows, the food that usually use them are: Surabi Oncom, Comro/Combro and Oncom Leunca.
@@ayngelina for combro you can find it on any "Gorengan" stall it's the brown deep fried circle/ball thingy. I do quick search and turns out there's quite a lot of Surabi resto like 'Waroeng Setiabudhi Surabi' all of em should have Oncom topping cause its the OG combo and also try Surabi Telur too there should be some Surabi seller on traditional market but you probably need to go very early. Tumis Oncom Leunca kinda hard to search by google, I feel like its one of the dish that you can randomly found on some Warteg but google search lead me to plenty of 'Nasi Tutug Oncom' resto instead so you might try that instead, there's one called Raja Sunda that also serves Tumis Oncom Genjer. Oh yea another food that uses Oncom is Ketan Bakar (Grilled Sticky Rice) the seller usually uses Oncom and/or Sweet Fried Coconut Flakes.
Instead of taking a business class of Parahyangan train, you could take the panorama train from Bandung to Jakarta. It is a diffrent class train (upgrade) with huge glass window for scenery. The price is about twice of your ticket though. Or you could try the new Whoosh train at 350 km/hour, but I think panorama train is a much better option for you foreigners to enjoy full scenery.

Difference is on Ekonomi ,the seat cannot be reclyned ,leg room is short ,3 passenger seat ,and the train stops in many stations ,making the journey longer......
Business class seat cannot be reclyned or some can only reclyne a few degrees. ......the leg space is not as wide as Executive........so it's not pleasent for long journeys.....
For sate, i prefer the Malaysian one because they marinated the meat overnight before grilling & the peanut gravy much spicy. But i like the Indonesian Sop Buntut (oxtail), Gurame goreng.

Hi, the types of trains in Indonesia are very confusing, as you said they seem to encourage us to book more expensive trains. But this is what I know, if you feel the executive class like the one in this video is not worth it then order an economy train, this economy class is very diverse there are those who sit facing with a 3-2 seat configuration (this is a subsidized train), some are facing but with a 2-2 configuration, there are also 2-2 with seats not facing usually the name of this train has frills such as "Economy New Generation / Economy Premium / Economy New Image" (for me this is business class). The problem is that when we want to book tickets there is no clear marker of what kind of economy train we will get, but basically the better economy definitely has a higher price (but don't be fooled by subclas like A/AA, they are all the same). Even so, whatever economy class you get is all equipped with air conditioning and electric plugs. The economy trains that I referred to as business class are actually very similar to executive but with shorter legroom, no tables, and no footrests. I hope this helps, thank you.

It depends on the country. The spiciest are Mexico and Peru but for example in Argentina they cannot eat spicy at all. Many countries in South America put sambal on the side but the food itself is not spicy.

Currently for regular trains, only Economy Class and Executive Class are available, oh yes there is also the Panorama Train where you can see 180 degrees in a room decorated with glass which can be booked at certain times like Luxury Class.
I wanted to try the whoosh and actually shot this two days before it became available so I was so disappointed we just missed it. But I think if a class is called business or executive it should also have wifi.
