I agree. But I have a little variation. 1. Divine Direction 2. His Presence 3. It can mold 4. To be Revived 5. To be empowered 6. It helps you have dominion over the flesh. I believe your teaching but these are some and more we can enjoy from fasting. Fasting in the New Testament is full of temptation to eat. The devil speaks often when there's a fast to spoil the purpose or goal of the fast. We also learn the ways of the Spirit from personal revelation and encounters of those who through fasting have benefitted.
But all that the prophet has said sums all you've said. If we have the bridegroom, we have his presence, we are molded by his word, we have direction, we are empowered etc.. the stand point he is holding is accurate according to pure scriptural context on this matter. Another teaching beyond this is personal assumptions and speculations. Let's abide in his name and scriptures. I believe you should listen to the full teaching...he balanced it using scriptures.
Thank you sir. Just like in one of Pastor Chris Delvan's messages I listened to, he said (paraphrased), "Good as those things are (Fasting, Prayer, Crying, Giving, etc), they don't COMPEL God. He observes the state of your heart." Emphasis was on the fact that we can't manipulate God. He decides when and on whom to apportion things, both spiritual and physical. #SHALOM #SHALOM
We have seen people that fast and people that don't fast and those that fast have better results. Pastor Adeboye fasted 40days and 40nights and grew redeem from 40parishes to over 192 countries. Fasting doesn't change God but us. However, don't you think this adulterous generation need more fasting. My brother as you're led by the Holyghost fast o! Just only do it in an acceptable way like Jesus commanded

If fasting was not associated with power why did christ said this type goeth not without fasting? again since you agree that fasting is for the poupose of his presence and you can never go into his presence and return without power you agreed that he speaks when we go to him in fasting and we know that the word of God is powerful so fasting is integral part of christianity even other faiths in pratical terms.
Fasting is meant to seek God NOT power. It humbles your soul to prepare you for God, to bring you to a place of submission and being in sync with God. It is an insult that God just ignored when men say "this matter will only take a 7-day fast". Fasting for power without paying attention to your walk with God, will expose you to incursion of demons.
