What’s up my piano friends! Today we’re going to go over the 6 BEST chord progressions for piano beginners. Trust me, this is the easiest tutorial out there. If you can follow simple instructions on a cheat sheet you can learn this stuff no problem. Here are the 6 progressions (named for the emotion they give off):
    TOP 6 CHORD PROGRESSIONS:
    1. The “Catchy”
    2. The “Emotional”
    3. The “Road Trip”
    4. The “Evil”
    5. The “Somber”
    6. The “Sinister”
Oh, and what’s even better, is we use a concept called Chord Stacking to make this EVEN easier! So basically once you learn the first chord progression, we simply “stack” the chords in different orders and transpositions to create the other 5 with zero extra effort on your part.
Sounds too good to be true, but trust me, you’ll see what I mean in the video :)
Oh, and MAKE SURE YOU STICK AROUND TO THE END!! We’ll be covering the top 3 “Money Patterns” you can use to really bring these chord progressions to life. I use these ALL the freakin time lol and they work wonders.
And lastly, I’d love to hear from you. Leave a comment and let me know what you thought of the video, if it helped you or if you got stuck somewhere. And make sure you download the cheat sheet it’ll make the whole process 10X easier:
    CHEAT SHEET INSTRUCTIONS:
    1. Go here: www.bestpianoclass.com/6-best...
    2. Sign Up with your name and email (yes, it’s really free lol)
    3. Get your cheat sheet!
    Happy practicing!

Your videos are hands-down clear-the-clouds, makes-instant-sense, multiple a-ha moments GOLD. It's a massive relief for us who are trying to wrap our brains around playing the piano. Finally this stuff makes sense. But you know how those old-timey player pianos were at 100% power on every note? No matter how much you love the song, it can wear you out listening at that intensity. Anyway, your content is so good that I watch the videos over and over to make sure I don't miss a thing. Thank you for making them.

Zach your humor and energy is infectious! But from watching my first video of yours since quarantine began back in March of 2020, I’ve been hooked and subscribed. I tell others about your passion, skill and humor! Started playing keyboard on my iPad, then my hubby actually bought me a keyboard. I’m an absolute adult (ok, OLD haha) beginner & am now enjoying playing and even practicing. I’ve purchased some of your courses, very very reasonably priced compared to others out there. But never felt pressured to do so. I learned of your email availability because I chose to receive your emails, which do also keep me motivated to practice regularly, as this virus thing can weigh us down at times. But then I play a little something on my piano & my mood is changed instantly to one of joy. Thank you also for all the free ‘cheat sheets’ you offer. Please don’t stop sharing your passion. Please keep making videos for the world to enjoy and to teach the rest of us that we too can share the gift of music. You are a gift!

For those of you out there that think learning to play the piano is an insurmountable task. I recommend you dive in and stick with it. I’m a 55 year old beginner, that has been playing for just over two years. Long short of it, follow Zach’s plan and download his free PSH class. I found him after two years of trying to learn in all sorts of ineffective ways he talks about. His classes are well thought, and full of basic important fundamental to get you started down the right path. It has worked for me. And I have since branched out to his other classes, theory, ear training and HT Domination to name a few. Which are all worth it! Plus if you have a piano related question he gets back to me in a day or two! Great stuff! The key is carving out practice time each and every day! Good luck and stay the course!

Piano IS difficult to learn, but the systems approach gives us learners ways of playing a range of stuff, that is not just learning and forgetting individual tunes (story of my piano life). It also gets our fingers on the piano more, doing real things that really increase our abilities and thirst for more.
Zippy presentation. Good video skills also, very well put together. Nice one Zack

Zach, you are a amazing teacher! Not only is the lesson very easy to follow, your approach on not just showing some notes, but explaining something about the chords so people can use what they learned in trying other songs. And..what you say on the end: how to showing practise!
I know my chords (i play jazz doublebass) , i know were the notes are, know the inversions and can lay them down (yet not in time though) on the piano but always wondered what to do with it … now i have material to exercise with. Thank you so much! This is a great start for me!
Ps, just watched your ted talk and not only did i totally like and recognise it, it gave me rudimental ideas about helping digistarters in healthcare were being able to use the computer is nowadays a necessity. (If any one has some ideas in line with this pianolearning approach, please let me know!

Man, you're the best piano teacher on CZcams by far! I bought mine in the beginning of 2020 and started to watch you only now (2021). I've learned substantially more with couple of your videos than the 100's I've watched in the last year.

Zach, if it wasn't for you I would've quit the piano a long time ago. I consider myself a slow learner, musically anyways, but you explain things so well and seem to really understand the beginner mind set that I really feel that I can learn the piano. Thank you so much.

@@maureennishimoto7261 Hi Maureen, how long have you been trying to learn piano? Do you have trouble playing both hands together? I'm trying to play the scales with both hands together and it seems to be improving. I play my scales every night.

I , ever since I’ve been a child cannot read music , I’ve always played by ear . I love the piano and can play a little , just like hearing a tune , I could play on my right hand and do nothing with my left lol . For over a year Ive been trawling you tube , and watching one hour this guy , I can actually play chords and make sense in the piano . I’ve been using Phianoze also , but stick with this guy . I can now play Moonlight sonata lol . Thankyou x

Really good video by a talented presenter. I'm a 75 year old beginner of piano. I understood and completed the suggested programme in a few weeks. Not quite fluent enough to adapt it to a songs chord progression yet. That could be because I'm too young.
    Age is just a number😊
