The back of the tape box says thus: "This compilation features early footage of Vic Reeves Big Night Out long before it became a television series. Some of the material was recorded at The Goldsmiths Tavern in New Cross, South East London on 22 July 1988 with the remainder coming from various shows at Deptford Albany in Spring 1989. Highlights include Ian Pearson the Crab, Carrots the Comedy Duck, Dusty the Caterpillar, Rick Astley, Mick Hucknall, Eric Morecambe and a giant lobster. Also featured is the stage debut of Donald Stott"
