Do you have any more with Steve or Eydie to post? They are all gone now and were good friends!!!
He came to the Maryland School for the Blind when I was a kid there.
The British press mostly the awful Sunday tabloids have no conscience. Russell came across as a nice bloke. Who was brilliant at what he did. News of the World and it's despicable owner will be remembered with anger and hatred. Russell is remembered with a smile.
This Is The Day On January 21, 1997 Before Teletubbies Premiered. 🥺😭😊😁❤️
I don't know how I discovered this show. It really takes me back to when comedy was unpredictable, unapologetic and actually fun.
THE BEST CHILDRENS TV OF THE 1960S VHS FULL VERSION czcams.com/video/lODCN9GdclA/video.htmlsi=Pci3MAOJsQdbRLpH
This clip is from THE BEST CHILDRENS TV of the 1960s VHS video, introduced by PHILIP SCHOFIELD
"If drugs weren't meant to be taken then why were they invented?" Ask thalidomide babies that, Marianne 😮.
That must be the time between the old See-Saw indent and the version they had in the early 90s.
An "unnamed local celebrity" was mentioned in a court case in Yorkshire when a local video shop owner was convicted for supplying imdecent images and videos of children. After Russell Harty died, the Daily Mirror said the unnamed celebrity was him and that he had kept a collection at the video shop. It's unclear whether this was actually true or not. Certainly, the tabloid press were vicious fabricators back then, and regularly targeted Harty. His friemd Alan Bennett said the press targeting had been responsible for Harty's early death.
Legend ❤❤
This is like a parody of a talk show!
Proof that retro TV content gets around. I also found this stuff, on a tape from ebay, so it's probably been through a few people by now.
Look, I know I'm not in my 20s anymore but isn't life a bit shit now compared to then?
I remember watching this during my primary school days Due to both my parents being at work, my brother and I would come home to my grandparents and watch telly Good times 😊
Great to see it on color tape!!
*"Chris Tarrant and Lenny Henry have gone on to great things."* Isn't that true, every time I see Lenny on TV he grates!
Utter trash.
Im surprised Nick didnt make a big stink over the ungrammatical nature of the statement and insist that it be change to 'If I Were Prime Minister'
He didnt repeat case, Neil heard case and then face, it wasnt reptition
Teetering on the edge of hesitation? The hell does that mean?
People don't really know just how much of a pioneer Jerry was/is for sardonic humour in Britain. You can guarantee Ricky Gervais, Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Carr studied him carefully.
Good days, fun spirit in the air.
Where did Blake get his mid-season haircut ? Assuming series 2 was recorded out of broadcast order.
WHY were trousers SO tight in the 70’s? 😳
Thank you so much . So happy to have found these. I thought I would never see them again.
God this makes me feel old, I was around 5 when this was on. This program is from half a century ago, take that in !!
Bless Harry Thompson( 1960-2005) for all the detailed info...
Aww! A nice reminder of when the BBC was worth the license fee (side note, my mum paid for it cos I was still at school). Such a shame that it was a hotbed of pedo's and sodomites😂
them asking women would've got that daz advert cancelled these days
Oh my god, I forgot all about this, when kids programs were great 💜😊👌
Bernard would have hated the smoking ban.
Amanda Barrie was head and shoulders above other presenters. So funny as was Alan ofcourse
best prog on the telly
Very surprised they used the fox logo at the beggining, despite fox has it's own Cartoon studio in my fanmade purposes with slap t pooch and the gang. I Think they should use the 1987 paramount logo instead for me since the terrytoons are owned by paramount these days next to CBS
Glad you put the full date most miss the dates especially day of the week..Good to see magpie again x
It took a fair bit of detective work to find out the date, but I was determined.
@@appropriatedsubdiffusion9260 very grateful thank you
Wow!! This was brilliant!! Especially that reference to the space ship leaving Earth to travel for thousands of years. I’m a 70s child so i used to watch swap shop and skippy the kangaroo every Saturday morning. We also had a big chunky green telephone in our hall way at home similar to the ones in this clip. I loved Blake 7 seven back in the day and great soundtrack. I think it was on television on Sunday night after A Question of Sport. We only had 3 TV channels back then. What a great childhood we had in the 70s and 80s. Thank you very much for sharing!
Marianne was smarter then the fickle world of pop. Her anger manifested with substances. Gifted iconic artist.
80s meaning the eighty, 90s meaning the ninety and so on. Very intelligent the late Kenny Everett. Teacher leave those kids alone >> czcams.com/video/qs35t2xFqdU/video.html Janet street-porter, journalist with very large teeth, yikes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janet_Street-Porter
We'd love to see Two Little Boys, Hospital! and Beyond Fear.
"Fellow named Lime." One of the five coolest performances in the history of film.
Begins at 4:26. Wolfit has a presence on yt, including much of his Lear, Falstaff and Prospero. The BBC should release what they have of his work.
THANK YOU for uploading this!!
AH I REMEMBER IT WELL THOSE WERE THE DAYS LISTENING ON THE OLD VALVE RADIO TO LISTEN WITH MOTHER THEN IT MOVED ON TO TV AND OF COURSE THIS WAS ALSO MY FAVOURITE AT THE TIME AND DON'T FORGET NOGIN THE NOG I WAS 6 OR 7 AT THAT TIME FROM SHAUN ENGLISH LIVING IN THE SOUTH WEST FRANCE
Gillian and Gayle were gorgeous back in the day.
Everyone enjoying life and out for a good time. Look what we’ve lost folks!
What a time to be in your early 20s.
How very droll those columns were!
Geez, he was a one-finger typist like Harold Robbins!
"A suicide note in weekly instalments!"
