This is the first motor i have ever touched. The book and the service manual were my only way to know i was doing it correctly.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing to my Yamaha 90. What socket do I need for the connecting rod bolts? It looks 12-point or Torx or maybe even specialty. Thank you.... I've enjoyed this series....

Hey I have a question I just rebuilt my mercury 90 and I don’t know if I torqued my end caps to the right speck I think I did them to like 30nm would that be enough I saw in the video you did yours to 9ftp was there another tightening step after?

30 NM is 22 foot pounds sounds about right. The instructions said to torque it twice at 9 and 20 if I remember correctly

How much did it cost roughly to boar the engine and what kind of kit do you need to buy if I want to replace my piston and rings they're not as bad yet but the compression is getting lower and I'd like to rebuild it myself as well

ReBore was a little over 100. You may only need to hone your cylinders which alot less

We torqued them, the camera must have died. I didn't have any footage of torquing them
