I'm nearly at 200 Parkruns at Cross Flatts and I don't think I've ever even noticed that wee garden. I've seen the path, but never went down it to look. I also seem to have an annoying habit of missing every milestone at Cross Flatts - I've missed the 500 now and I'm pretty sure I've missed the last few birthday runs there too. I always just seem to have something on those weekends!

Yeah we turn up to parkruns ready to blaze round and sometimes miss the hidden gems at these places. I really appreciated this yesterday.
We seem to be on a milestone mission / hunt for cake at the minute but if you don't keep an eye on Facebook or the 5k app, they are easy to miss.

You're such a hard taskmaster but Mandy sneaking a sub 40 made it all worthwhile. Discarding instead of saving the run was a schoolboy error - once did that after a marathon and was genuinely mortified.

We had lots of fun (or at least I did 😅) Yes I have discarded a run too (not a race that would have taken me some time to get over 😉) but I did feel for her knowing how diving into the details afterwards is part of the enjoyment. @@TheRunningWhale Ran solo marathon distance yesterday and seriously thought about including Cross Flatts parkrun in that. Quite difficult timing it right without too much stop-starting so in the end, decided just to concentrate on the 26.2miles.
I've done 9 park runs at Woodhouse moor and have yet to go sub 40, PB 40.26. Am 62 and just started about a year ago. Love the Vids. Well done Mandy.
Love this. Took me a year to be able to run a mile when I stared in my early 30's so massive kudos to you. I'm sure with that time we could get you under that 40 😉 Thank you for watching and glad you're enjoying the videos 🥰
