Darth Vader would probably Force choke the Imperial Guard who's on duty watching music videos. Rockin' guitar work, nice! Art Carney did a great job in his role. Favorite segment so far, thanks.
Agreed! Art Carney's performance is the highlight of this silly Star Wars Holiday Special! LOL! Have you noticed that it payed homaged to his Henry Corwin character in the original Twilight Zone episode, entitled, "The Night of the Meek" when he arrived at Chewie's family house in part 3, bringing presents for everybody? As well as paying homage to his Ed Norton character in The Honeymooners between 0:33 to 0:55? It's a nice touch, don't you think? :)
Actually that filler was the special music guests - Jefferson Starship. You have to remember this was a Christmas special - and as such - you had special guest stars like Art Carney and Harvey Korman - and special music performances. It's not a movie - it's a 1970's era Star Wars themed variety "special". Once you understand this - the whole thing makes much more sense... well, kind of.
This is awesome! I saw it when it first aired in 1978 but we had a black and white TV. I can finally watch it in color! :)

Good observation. Yeah, it's nice to see Art Carney's character acting and roles given attention in this made for TV special.
I feel like Jefferson Starship only got this job because they have the word Starship in their name.
wow, so memorable i forgot the title was the force awakens.
THE JULIA CHILD SENDUP WS SO BAD.
terrible yet still manages to have more charm than the forced unleashed
oh soo bad
1:06-6:24 Obvious filler is obvious.

Actually, it was a Thanksgiving Special. It aired November 17, 1978.
Well technically it's a LIFE DAY special :)
Who else skipped the singing?
