Want to see a 99 overall pitcher? Let's get 1000 LIKES 👍
We've all got to start submitting feedback to San Diego Studios complaining about the rating and potential system in franchise and how quickly players regress. There has to be a better way of doing it. NBA 2K has a pretty spot on rating and potential system if we could get anything like that this game would be perfect. But it's the rating system that is always its downfall for me every year.
YESsaAA
Yo how do u make it so none of your players in any of your rebuilds get injured
you're on.
You should re do this but u keep maxxing his stats untill like 27
That's absolutely insane that a 25 year old player with 99 potential is regressing 10 attribute points across the board literally 80 games into a season. There is something VERY wrong with the regression logic.
It's because of the coaches, fire and rehire good coaches!
@@bigbadbootydaddy0388no it’s not
He’s probably just shite
Instead of making a player 99 overall every stat you could try to do just a 99 hitter and have them play DH. I think the regression issue is that the game makes batting stats regress faster than the others. The created player stays at a 99 due to high fielding. Try making an all 99 speed and all 99 batting, hope that helps!
*Hears Jerry Ponds
Me: Oh, okay. I see what you did there.
Do an every stat is 50 and see how the player progresses as the years go by.
Better yet, an entire team of 50 stats across the board, with 99 potential.
The regression in mlb the show is crazy
If you make the player 98 overall, he holds his rating a lot longer. When you max out all attributes it’s makes the player actually higher then 99 overall and will mess with the settings
We know Jerry ponds is going to the dodgers 0:00
He is probably regressing because 99 in every stat means his overall should be much higher than 99. Since you can't set his overall higher than 99, his stats regress until they correlate to 99 overall.
Similar things happen in Football Manager, but they at least have an option to freeze attributes so they don't regress.
Would be cool to see a career sim of a drafted generational talent, maybe a pitcher to see if they actually hit 99 and how long they can maintain that rating. Thanks for the videos!
he already has a video of that
You should do like a super prospect 5 tool 80 speed contact power fielding and discipline/ vision with 99 potential just so they develop the first couple years and don’t just only regress
I absolutely don’t care about baseball but stumbled on your videos, subscribing, great job!
It's cool man, you should do another one but with one batter, on SP and on CP and make sure they're 99 everything their whole career. That would be an absolute banger of a video.
I noticed that when players start regression if you consistently have them do training they will stay the course or get better miggy last season in my franchise I had him training and some of his stats went back up
Loove that you readjusted him to 99 every year :D gr8 vid antonio
He had a 40-40 season in his second year in the Show..........and still no MVP. 😭
Love these videos
Love these ones
Have tried simming myself, the regression this year is glitched. Made a 99 overall ARod and he regressed to an 81 by the time he was 25. Then I made him 87 with 99 potential and he kept going up to a 99. Something about already being 99 overall messes with the engine I think, I haven't delved too deep into it myself but that's my best guess
What if you took a retired player and followed them from 18 up to see if they could re-live/ get close to their IRL stats? seems like it could be entertaining
You should play ootp baseball.
It took me until about a quarter of the way through the video to realize how similar his name is to Barry Bonds
You should try making a DH. Only 99 hitting stats with very mid fielding. The regression is hitting so hard because he technically is above a 99 overall with all thsoe 99 stats, so the potential is lowering him to a lower tier 99, if that makes sense.
Are you pressing × or □ when free agency notifications pop up?
Cause usually there's more than one notification at a time. × will skip through them one by one, □ will skip through them all at once. That's probably why you're not seeing the signing notifications.
I haven't found regression AS bad, this year, I feel like it's because he's already at his potential that he's regressing this fast, I have seen Bryce harper and trout among others stay above an 80 well into their 17th+ season
I know they did not change anything with regression this year. But this one felt like I got unlucky & just had bad regression lol
I simulated a 99 overall named LeSubstance PED User IV, and he retired in his age 28 season due to ability 💀
I did this kind of sim in 2020 and Soto played until like 44 and broke the home-run record which was better than my 99 guy
Gotta keep the fielding low I would assume, cause his overall wasn't tanking rapidly, it was just his offensive stats.
This just goes to prove how bad the regression progress in franchise is in the game. Now that they fixed scouting, I really hope next year they work on the regression system. A 99 potential player shouldn't be losing ratings after 3-5 seasons. I would love Sony Studios to implement the same system EA has for FIFA as far as keeping players near their potential as long as they're still performing well even late into their careers, maybe with a cut off around the age of 33-35 where they are forced to start dropping in ratings/potential. By SS's logic Mike Trout should have been regressing 4 years ago since his first full season was 2012, and he's still a top 3 player 10+ years later.
Any advice correlating to something ea does is automatically the worst advice possible
@@schmads6683 Football manager has a stat called Natural Fitness, where a higher stat means a player recovers fitness more quickly between matches and their decline will be more gradual.
Perhaps Durability could/should be used in a similar manner here in MLB
Gotta have a 99ovr 2 way player
Bro completely missed the 40-40 season in his second year..
At 33:42 how did you get to All Position Players . I can’t do it please help
Something that needs to change is when “fall offs” happen. Idk why service time determines that unless the player has low durability. But a 99 durability player shouldnt experience a fall off unless their stats are bad or they’re old. But even then we’ve seen 35+ year old players pop off.
you should do a career sim of a 1st overall pick
Not mesa jr 😭
Wait a sec'.....How the Hell do you have no perks with 99 overalls???? That's gotta be a glitch, right???
Extrememly confused how an 18 year old with max ratings immediately regresses and continues to get worse every year but if you have a 50 overall with 99 potential he goes up by 20 every year
I think sds has a progression system that works not regression system because he wbet down so much under 30
8:20 "his first silver slugger" *2 silver sluggers on screen*
there’s no way in hell an 11 WAR season, of which there are few in MLB history, doesn’t bring home an MVP. they should fix MVP voting, the BBWAA aren’t the sticks in the mud they used to be about RBI, average, and team performance.
Do a Aaron judge career sim
You ignored in his second season he had a 40/40
Rebuild a team with zero championships in that franchise history and make sure that team have the most championships in mlb history when the rebuild is over
2 way player next?
Jerry Ponds the knock off Berry Bonds
So Eloy is the real 99 in this episode
When they get in their mid 30’s make them 1B and the regression goes down a ton
redsox have the third highest scoring offense in the league ant 🧐
You should do the same video but give him every quirk to see what is does
Can't give quirks
I think the batting stance is making the difference. Sosa's stance sucks. If you gave him chipper Jones ( since he's a switch hitter ) or K Griffey jr he would have done better. Change his stance and do it again and watch the difference
700/700 SB/Hr club no one has done that
🐜=🐐
angels vs mets world series would be the worst
So he’s the best ever
If he would've played like a 99 he would've stayed a 99
Why was going down so fast sds if your watching fix it
I would like to know did u drafted this player with a 99 overall or u boosted his overall up
I don't understand the regression on this game. How does an 18 year old start to regress
Eloy Jimenez is the greatest player of all time
I swear every time a youtuber says "I have a link right here" nothing ever pops up.
It's supposed to be a little 'i' icon in the top. I put the video there. I also just checked and it's there
107>115
Is a guy is a switch hitter, you should be able to get a stance for each side you hit.. switch hitters dont have the same stance for each side in real life
I feel like this is just shows the downside of MLB the show and attributes and all that. Yes it’s unrealistic that someone would be the best player at 18 but 6 years and he’s basically halved all his attributes. Great job anyways Ant
You and RGS are too similar

It's because of your coaches that's why their overall goes down like that
