In this video I share a recent purchase from a NEW to me shop - Diamond Art Studio UK! I purchased their first ever Christmas Advent Calendar. During the video I show the diamond colours. I do not spoil any of the images. I show a few lines on one of the charts just so you can see what it looks like and the process of placing the diamonds. Unfortunately they did a limited release of these and as of time of filming the orders are now closed.

Thanks Alysa! I think this is such a great concept and would be so much fun to do during the holiday month. I am quite the traditionalist when it comes to Christmas colors, so all those pinks and purples makes me a little nervous...lol. I can't wait to see what all the little squares will turn out to be. Have fun with this!

Awesome!! I did the first square, had 3 mistakes with counting but was easy to fix it. Just go slow and have patience!

Thanks for sharing Alysa! I’ve always wondered how a cross stitch conversion kit works. It’s a great idea but looks way to hard for me to be able to stay on track! Can’t wait to see how this turns out!!!!

I started mine a few days ago. With doing other paintings, there is no way I could do it all in December. A few things, the static is bad in these. But I do like doing it once I was kitted up. One thing I don't understand, and was going to email them, but I guess they are way behind on emails, is that they said the pictures would fit anywhere. I am left-handed, so I thought oh, I'll start from the right like I usually do with cross-stitch conv. I get to the bottom of the little picture and find out they are numbered! So, if I would have continued this way, I would have had my first row as 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. I changed the one to a five, and while still working from the right, I did picture 4 and now am on 3. So, unless someone wants totally random numbers all over, they need to follow the chart on the box. Also, I am using Markup R-XP (same as pattern keeper, but for us Apple people). I am taking pictures of each little picture as I open them. Not saying this is easy, but for people used to using Pattern Keeper or Mark-Up, it's hard to go back to paper. If you started, I am sure you found out what all the purple was for :). It really is a delightful kit, and fun to find out what each day's picture is. I would certainly order from this company again (that is, if I ever get caught up with other pictures). It's nice to have them introduce people to cross-stitch conversion.
Yes thats why I decided to do it through Nov instead of Dec. I just finished day 6! Yes some bags had bad static I actually upload a video on how to deal with it the other day - should be in the tips and tricks playlist! Yes if you want the numbers jumbled up you can do that. what you could do is change the numbers so it reads 1-5 you would need to pop the 310 off and chart it yourself I think it would be an easy fix and then fill in the extra spaces with one of the surrounding colours. I agree wish there was an option to use pattern keeper I am not a fan of the paper. Yes I know what the purple is for now! I think it's cute. I hope they offer more mini conversions in the future I would buy again (though with a digital file) I am happy with the quality of everything
This is really interesting idea. When I first heard of it I thought all the squares made one big picture. But with your explanation. I know that they are twenty five little pictures and a big canvas. It will be really nice to see them all when you have it done.🥰💜🥰
@elnoralouisa1 thanks for sharing your insight! I also have started, and I start from the bottom of paintings, and was glad that I decided to follow their chart. I tried markup R-XP but I was very shaky taking the pictures and it was difficult for me to use it. Now that DAS has released the PDFs. I’m going to pick up an android tablet and pattern keeper. I liked your comment on how the purple/pink turns out. It’s right on! All the best 🎄 from 🇨🇦
I saw this just before yoy tikd us that you purchased one. I really wanted to buy one but didn't know anything about this company. Now i wish i did!. Hopefully next year they will do this again. I cant wait to see when you are done.

I have one ordered in the second batch. I will probably start it as soon as I get it. I'll be doing the Add More Zest advent painting in Dec. I'm in Canada so not sure when I will get the diamond art studio advent painting; but I am confident it will come.
Once Diamond Art Studio UK shipped mine it didnt take long to get to me in BC Canada! I think I am going to kit it up today!
The longest delivery time we have seen worldwide is 10 days once it’s left us. We are prioritising overseas orders and will start despatching next week (we are currently stuffing over 60,000 envelopes 😂) 💜
I got mine 31 October too! And kitted it up that evening. It took me nearly 2 hours as I was fighting with static in nearly all of the bags. I was one of the people who asked about this painting for the event and completely understand and respect your decision. I thought it wouldn’t qualify but thought it couldn’t hurt to ask! 😊 l’ll be more prepared for next year. Honestly, the 3 events I’ve done I’ve been scrambling around for something appropriate from my tiny stash and I like to plan! But I guess it’s good for me to be outside of my comfort zone sometimes! 😂 I’m really looking forward to doing it, the colours are amazing and will look out for your posts on the FB page 😊 x

Hello this is Jenny I love the pictures you get ready to make I love it might give me that one too I'll be so happy to get one just like you and I want to know what it is but they can't tell you the mystery but it can't say mystery about it so I'm glad that you have it and I'm going to get that too
So when I have a thing that you have it's great to have ready to headache pictures so they can see you can't see nothing but when you do the picture you got to wait and see what the picture look like be so beautiful when you're finished so it'll be good Life Is Good by Jenny paint pictures I like the pink just like you man I wish I could get her to it's all good I love that and somebody's using one thing but it ain't happening so I don't care ignore it it's fun to have fun with those things that you can make is great make everybody happy when you do those those pictures it'll be so great I wish I had one like that too but I got to wait until my money is getting big you know to see it

Hi Alyssa…I really enjoyed your video. It is always so good to hear your voice. I ordered this canvas but I am part of batch 2. Not sure when this will ship. I am hoping to start this on December 1. Plan to do one square per day if my work schedule allows! I am currently working on an advent calendar from Add More Zest. Hi! Thank you for the video! We did look into other options but for tracked options, UPS was still the cheapest overall. What you would save on brokerage by using someone else, you would need to pay at least that amount to us for the extra cost to us so it was deemed most cost effective for customers to continue with UPS 💜

So much valuable information, Alysa. This is my first year of diamond painting so I've never seen an Advent kit and I've worried I couldn't handle a cross stitch conversion! Thanks Sylvia! This will be my first conversion. This is the first true advent ive actually seen where the images are a mystery. I wanted to try this one cuz the patterns are small and less overwhelming. My inbox is always open!
So looking forward to this one. It is out for delivery right now as I type this, should show up any minute. I believe the pinky-purple drills are the border between the smaller images - the "shop" colour. 💜 Now I have to figure out what I can do that is small enough to do both the advent and another kit at the same time. 🎄 But oh the Hannah Lynn 12 Days of Christmas is really calling me to. Decisions! Decisions!
Continuing my thoughts... since the 12 days of Christmas do not start until December 25, maybe I start the Hannah Lynn one after the advent. And do Jolly Snowman along side the advent (for winterdpalong). That sounds like a good solution :)
That makes sense for the boarders. So many hard decisions this year!
how dose the diamond painting work as I don't fully understand and I like to know more b4 I brought a kit... as I do buy from diamond art studio.. as well as diamond art club as both companies are great so thank you. xx
Hi Susanne! This specific diamond painting is a cross stitch conversion. You receive a paper pattern and a blank canvas with no symbols on it. You place your diamonds following the paper pattern. It does require a little extra concentration as you have to do alot of counting. Its basically like following a cross stitch pattern
