yes that works unless... you have a magneto! The test is a good test, should have your lights on if you have them. this will tell you battery or charging system which can include regulators, switches, gauges and wiring
yeah solder gun my friend i done that 100 times and that reduce cost, alternator cost let say 100 buck regulator like 10 just little effort to replace that same deal with brushes and of course it is internal around 80`s they begin to solder it in so you buy new alternator instead repairing the old one and if you give the old one to the seller you get discount easy play right ???

My papa taught me that trick a long time ago it works on any vehicle that has a alternator and battery plus my Papa Was a Farmall phonetic as well he had four of them

I'd still get some baking soda and water and clean up those terminals. But yeah, that test has been around for decades! Still works! All it has to do!

didnt know that trick thanks , and alternator propably is ok only thing you need to change is voltage regulator on it or brushes
