I suppose you can sweeten those contract offers by including some bonuses for international caps, team of the year, winning the league etc. That's my strategy for reducing wage demands in my saves and it generally works.
Finally this series is back been checking every bloody day for weeks 😂
Maybe I've been football managering wrong the entire time but I always reduce the wage demands and increase the bonuses. It encourages them to be good, keeps wage budget down and if they turn out to be shit then they aren't getting paid

If i'm not wrong, changing the playing time, the player will want more money. For me there is no reason to change from start to important, if you want to have Rothe as your first choice...
Making the new keeper your "cup keeper" seems like an error unless I completely misunderstand. Won't he now be expecting to play in the Champions League?
