The fish store near where I live is fantastic. They will only allow you to get a fish if you bring in a water test that passes, for that specific type of fish
That's a very great fish store.
At my fish store, there is a freshwater expert, saltwater expert, and a dog and cat expert. They help you set up your tank when you wanna pick out a fish. I was there earlier today and this guy said he wanted a 20 gallon tank. (Fresh water) The worker said that what would be best was maybe some shrimp.

Every single bluegill within a 5 mile radius: it’s free real estate
I know a nightmare every fish keepers is scared of.... It is :
1)Their ex or siblings putting bleach in their tanks for revenge or overfeeding it causing ammonia poisoning to their fishes
2) Fish tank exploded because it’s too old and their love ones is dead on the ground
3) Returning home from a vacation and smells a rotten fish smell
4) Their filter or air pumps is broken and you dont have a backup ones especially when you’re a kid and doesnt have enough money or a car to buy a new one
5) Their favourite fish died
If one of the things from the list happens to you ( Im sorry for your loss)
for me, my guppy got sucked in the filter and rip...
Another one is when the power goes and you watch your fish slowly die

I thought with cichlids you had to either be overstocked to spread out aggression, or choose to be understocked to the point where each fish can have it's own territory which is what I'd do if keeping cichlids because i feel like overcrowding them would stress them out especially since they don't like each other they're just tolerating each other.

Clearly the most aggressive fish in your WHOLE fish store is the BEST fish to put in your BETTAS tank they will be BEST FREINDS!
That bowl didn't look like a fish bowl anyway, and it likely wasn't meant to hold water. So one of two things might have happened. The pressure from holding the water, or a sudden temperature change. For example, if they washed the bowl in hot water, and then added cold. If it's not either of those, then I have no ideal. They dropped the rocks too hard into the bowl? Eitherway, poor Betta, and yet, perhaps it was merciful considering.

Speaking as a fisherman who regularly uses lures that are designed to look like absurdly colorful fish-who the hell thought putting a bright red and blue betta in WITH A BASS would be a good idea??
Bichir substrate seems to really be growing in popularity ti the point where it could soon overtake pink gravel in shitty aquariums.
Unfortunately my king betta has made it very clear that he wants zero tank mates 🤣 Luca my rose petal betta prefers mates so guess it really does depend on the betta 🙂

Also, that's so true about the tank size and lifting. I almost sprained my back moving my tank like 50 feet and it wasn't even full (it was about half full). This is such a good point to make, and it's the reason I risked auto fails on online exams this year. Setting up 70+ pounds of tank for a 30-minute exam isn't worth it.

If you want to keep a Chirs, therd are some things you need to keep in mind:
A Chirs needs at least 300 gallons as an adult. Remember to add Ohko stones as hardscape, since Chirs is a simp for these stones. Adding live plants is essential. Do not add artificial decorations or plants, as he will rip these to shreds if he has the chance. Feed him once a day with different foods.
Don't fill the water up too high, as this fish will from time to time come up for the surface and gulp for air.

So I looked up crested gecko's out of curiosity. They are from New Caledonia. I went to school there for a year as a foreign exchange student in my youth. I read they weren't discovered until 1997 which is surprising for such a small island. Repashy (sp?) is a beautiful creature! P.S: Very good idea you have of reminding people (into the video) to hit the like button. I always forget until you mention it.

Cichlids are SO aggressive! When I was a kid my family had a 90 gal cichlid tank and we had a few cichlids that were ruthless. We really had trouble with the gouramis though. Our gourami killed 17 cichlids in one night

When your friend puts a betta in a 1/2 gallon while having a 5 gallon, and a 10 gallon aquarium that he decides to use for a random animals he decides to catch, and then says “it’s temporary,” for almost a year, and then makes excuses like “bettas were bred to live in small tanks” and “fish only grow to the size of their tank,” and then refuses to listen to me when I confront him and makes excuses, and then wonders why his other fish (bullhead catfish in a tub that has like no water) get sick and look stressed, and then wonders why I don’t believe him when he says that he did research.
Sry this became a rant.
Edit: he is doing better now, he put his betta in a 1,300 gallon pond and plans to put no other aggressive fish in the pond. I’ve known him since he was born (we are 1 year in age apart), and he is very impulsive. Thankfully, he fixed his mistakes.

About the guppy's with their long fins. At least there are breeders out there working on great color with a good body. Aquarium co-op has a video about an Israelian guppy breeder

I know this is in a film but in the film my spy a person had a Betta fish in a FLAT bowl, like it was flat and a bowl and in pretty sure they had an actual betta in there during the film because in a background scene it was sitting at the bottom of the bowl
8:14 I can’t even. I am getting an axolotol soon so I have been researching nonstop, and this pisss me off. Axolotol need 20 gallons. Gravel will kill the axolotol when he eats it. Those goldfish are gonna ether A start nibbling his gill feathers, or B the axolotol will choke on the fish. I doubt that tank is 60 degrees. And hat axolotols slime coat is gonna melt from the temperature. And for sure it will get ammonia burn.
