1:04 i am pretty sure the poem is semi-autobiographical, so it could be about Duffy herself, and since her mother passed away about a decade after the poem was written, i don't think the mother has passed away in the context of the poem; although it is only semi-autobiographical, so i guess it could be interpreted that way as well...
