    New subscriber. Thanks for the video. I changed the passenger side about a decade ago. Now the driver side snapped.

    Did you confirm it wasn't the switch or the mitor prior to the video?

    Window switch connector is not hard to remove, leave it in the panel. Drill out rivets first then remove drive motor. This should allow regulator to move around making sliding window out of guides easy. No need to remove any weather strips. I used M5 bolts and locking nuts to install new regulator.

    Don't forget if anyone has side impact, like I do, there is another screw behind the "SRS" badge, otherwise you won't get the panel, your welcome! :-)

    Great video. Thank you very much.
    A bit of a different question: in my case I think the window motor is still working OK, but the window wasn’t moving. It seems that the window came off the track or somehow became disconnected from the arm that moves it. While I saw you reconnect something to the window, it wasn’t tremendously clear. If you would be so kind, would you elaborate as to what I might have to do to connect the window to the mechanism that moves it please?
    Thank you very much in advance.

      That clip/guide that goes in the channel on the glass is part of the window regulator. Which is what you are changing. Which is what this video shows how to change. Its not off track

      @@PowerUpAuto I’m amazed you are answering a question on an older video. Impressive. You just got a new subscriber.
      So, I can’t just get a new retaining clip instead of buying the whole $150 regulator ?

      You will need a new reg BUT you can buy these online for about $40@@radradrad

      @@PowerUpAuto Thank you so much for your help, but I haven’t seen them for anywhere near that price. Is there a website you could suggest? I’m in the US (California).

    Can I remove the regulator from a junk yard vehicle that I can't raise or lower the window by key.

    Great Video, but I may have more of a problem. I put my window down one day and then it wouldn't go all the way back up. When I pulled it all the way up so I could duct tape it in place, there was a terrible crunching/breaking sort of sound. So, do you have any idea what that might have been? I wonder if the clip at the bottom of the glass could have broken? Just not sure if I have to replace the window as well as the regulator--any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

    How does this compare to a front window?

    • @PowerUpAuto
      @PowerUpAuto  Před rokem

      Completely different. Do a search for your car and front window.

    did you keep the battery connected. I have an air bag also Thanks

      Always. I just leave one bolt in or let the airbag hang.

    • @firbyd
      @firbyd Před 2 lety

      I didn't remove the bag or disconnect the battery, there is a screw in the "SRS" badge, just pop it out to access.
