It's heart breaking for a parents to hear that your child is struggling to fit in at school in a country where they're born in. No wonder the woman doesn't want to go back to Netherlands.

I live in Germany and have a 13 year old son who has a high functioning autism. He was having speech problem and he had to do lots of therapy and i would call home and cry about how highly intelligent he was and despite all what the psychologist saw was his articulation stills. Kids were cruel to him and he hardly had friends. We visited Ghana when he was 8 years and believe me it was one of his best experience in his life. No one made fun of him, no one realized he had autism and the beautiful part was, there were no toys to play with. He played with sticks and stones and even fire and he was always happy. I wish I had enough money to return home. I'm still on it. Will definitely return back to Ghana my mother land. There is no place like home, a place where you feel comfortable and loved
@mary kay, they were saying something like that to me,about my son, trust me i never believe them, they try to mess up with this child,i took him back home, today is doing great,it was by GOD grace, especially when you are a Christian, this western world always want to fight you spiritually, those children they did something to them, behind closed doors,i was told, by their cold worker, the way they do it,you will never find out in 1000year,since he was a baby, they have been messing up with the child,GOD Almighty will continue to exposed this wicked people by fired, may their wicked evil return back to their head in JESUS name Amen

I relocated to Ghana 2yrs now from Uk, the best decision I ever made & got dual citizenship...Im in UK now visiting relatives & I'm now locked in due to boarders shutdown...I can't wait to return back to Ghana asap...The west is not the same anymore...😏
You welcome to my motherland
How long did the process take
Welcome to my motherland...may you find peace and happiness.
How were you able to obtain citizenship as you came from the UK?
Is it hard to obtain dual citizenship??
The smartest decision the two of you have made. They will remember this forever.
She is a very good woman and a very supportive wife. she is a woman you rush to come home to...and he respects her. You can tell. Great couple !!
Atlas24gh thanks so nice thank you so much 😊
Such a lovely couple. You can see the respect they have for each other. Will definitely be following them on their adventures.
What a simpering individual :
I grew up in Ghana and I couldn't have asked for a better childhood! The great thing is that the environment/society is simultaneously afro-centric (obviously, as it should be) but also very internationally friendly. I remember going to school with children from all over the African continent and from Asian countries, Europe and North America. We played and learnt together without a thought of our differences apart from cool national costumes and delicious food lol
👏👏👏👏👏. Miss those days can't wait to go back and visit
When people move to Africa, they never talk about how much they saved to move and live there! That would be real content.
I think the Interviewer shouldn't ask them certain financial things, for instance how much their rent cost?
It's so true. If the content is about enlightening and inspiring, then it's helpful to be transparent about finances/income otherwise what's the point. Many who want to move could be helped by that info
As a Londoner I believe u will need to save not less than £60,000 if U want to move to Ghana. This is when u already have a house and a skill
That’s exactly what info i came here to find out.. need get out of UK ASAP
👀Good idea to set yourself up for robbery
Please all blacks abroad come home lets build this wakanda..Am from Kenya
Yes chinese are taking over we all coming love from UK
@LinnErellie haha shut the fuck up
@Chris asswipe
But wakanda has nothing to do with Africa. Kenya politics are very unpredictable too
Wakanda foreva
Literally had a chat with one of my friends about this ; African countries (in my opinion) are the best place to raise BLACK children, (this applies when the parents have the resources to make that decision ofcourse) where they'll grow up without feeling like any of their features (skin colour, hair) are weird, let alone feeling inferior. It's so damaging for kids to feel that way from such an early age.
Many people from overseas say standard of living is cheap but to Ghanaians is an entirely different situation 😄😅
Thank you the voice of reason at last : like the people waiting to leave isn't long and winding. To maintain that standard of living you have a really well paid job
Because the cost of living in the west is HIGH VERY VERY HIGH
So proud of you making such a wonderful decision to relocate. My father used to tell me when my kids were young to relocate to Africa. I understood what he meant years later. You guys are making the best decision to make this change, your lifestyle will change so much from living in a European country.
When you want to move to Ghana, you shouldn't only think of Accra. There are so many places like Kumasi, sunyani and the like. They are also nice place
We are happy to see our people coming home we love you all God be with you folks
@michael Darko you have my Family name . Where are you from.?
As a parent you have to learn ways of making your child believe in themselves
Acheampong is an Ashanti surname, which means destined for greatness. Notable people with the Ashanti surname include: Benjamin Acheampong (born 1990), Ghanaian footballer.
Beautiful family. So happy they’ve found their place in Ghanaian society. I wish them the best.
I invariably say God has literally blessed Ghana and its people. I can't really come to terms with how these so called white folks brutally dehumanize us when we africans visit their country. It unclear why they don't accept us; prejudice and the likes. Africans blatantly welcome this whites folks whiles they can't triplicate hospitality in return.
I live in Iceland Reykjavik for the past 23 years and this crisis has really struck me dead, am quarantined alone in my house, kids away since they are grown, just acquired a land from my late dad,am packing myself am going back home..I have acquired enough knowledge to share with my people in Kenya...
Am also going back to Kenya when my son comes of age. Home is the best.

Why of all places did you go there???
Come back home where you really belong. Even the kids have testified to that. Let's all put our hands to the oars and row together to build this peaceful nation. Our rightful place is Africa. ❤✌
Sampson Djonorh very very true, there’s no home for us in the diaspora we don’t belong there. There’s no place like Africa. Let’s get going.
@@maameboa254 My heart sunk when the little girl noticed that she has to do more to her body to be accepted. Tears rolled down my cheeks. I can tell her parents felt it. That's why they are in Ghana. May God bless our nation Ghana and make it great and strong.

I am British Nigerian and work as a firefighter.. my wife is British, Ghanian and Sierre Leone and she is a secondary science teacher. We are seriously considering moving to Ghana 🇬🇭 but just trying to work our financial situation and plan our lives.
She can get a job in a private international school easily. I have a friend who just did that.
That friend also got a house as part of the deal.
Good luck with it my brother.
Shout out to my Ghanian people 🇬🇭🇬🇭💝

Hey Anna! Wat grappig je te zien. Ik dacht al van dit gezicht komt me bekend voor. Ik ben een nichtje van Ophie en Georgina. Take care dear.
This is great video for people who are thinking about moving to Ghana. I grew up up in Accra as a kid, moved to the US with my parents since my dad is American. Have visited Ghana .quite a few times as an adult and while there touring the county and visiting family members all over Ghana. I and have been thinking about moving back, so this a great video in helping me to make a decision. Thank you for sharing this video
The sources is Africa! The motherland! And Ghana is a part of the source
Great interview V! Dreaming of moving back to Africa one day. Chicago is getting old...
Find yourself a piece of land and build your own house to save on rent. Your 12month rent you are paying you can use it to build your own house
Exactly. I think he said they pay $1000 (I assume that is per month). I have been in Ghana few times and I know that is a lot money to pay. Especially if you are earning Ghanaian salary. Peace.
@@psoteriou3884 i think its just they are not ghanaian citizens. it is a tab bit shaky with you are locked on a land payment and something goes awry and you are not even a citizen.
@@PHlophe They can get citizenship as they both have Ghanaian parents.

Hello my name is Noel Jones I am from Las Vegas Nevada. I just viewed your channel I know very impressed withholding you decided to move to Ghana with your family. I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago. I retired from the airline industry. I run a Airbnb. My wife-to-be is from Johannesburg South Africa. I am with enough for the airport to open in Johannesburg so I can return it and get married to her. Then to bring up to the United States. My plans are nice to have a CZcams channel. And to inform the public of what it's like to marry a South African citizen but is Zulu. All the processes that one has to go through. I am 63 years old. And I look forward to sharing Sharing all information. I will try to view all of your information you post on CZcams and support your channel. Thank you for the inspiration. Noel Jones
I love❤️ their channel so much, so interesting to watch them adjust to the new environment.
Love this! For years I’ve been looking for channels that focus on families moving to an African country. Will definitely subscribe to their channel as well.
Im really loving your content these days . I have been following you from the beginning and it keeps getting better and better . Well done Vanessa ❤️
This is an excellent interview. Thanks again Vanessa.
Being an uber minority when little can be tough. I remember being very quiet while in class. I was the only one who was black. Sometimes there were two of us.
kristof verbruggen not true...having been the only Black kid in a classroom full of Whites, I know the experience is far worse from what u describe. Don’t know why u would even try to speak on a Black student’s experience when u aren’t Black. Why some White people feel so freely to speak on another race’s life experiences is beyond me. Let’s say it all together now: “White privilege” 🙄🙄🙄
@kristof verbruggen I live in Europe too and you are definitely full of shit 😂
@kristof verbruggen Probably heaven? What's that supposed to mean? Are you black? Have you ever been? Don't trivialize someone elses experience especially if you have no idea what it's like. There's no need for comparison here. There's no basis for "better than".
kristof verbruggen you’re literally a clown. How are you going to talk about how it’s like being the only black kid when you’re clearly not black. Stop trying to trivialize the experience of minorities with your white washed false reality
@kristof verbruggen as a child I was bullied for my skin colour being compared to pure shit and I would be compared to a pig that has rolled in pure shit. The girls would always leave me out of they're games and now that I'm 16 and I'm still the only black girl in my class it's not as bad but it's hard for me to talk to white people without being scared.
The guy resembles very much my friend, who was also called Acheampong. Unfortunately he passed away there in the Netherlands some years back. The resemblance is real.
Otoyo Panama im sorry for your loss 😢
Yeah Black Family! I recently found out that my family is from Ghana. They are know as Quaccoo's. As soon as this Plandemic over I will be visiting and evenly live their. 💞💜💜💜💞

I find this so interesting especially as mixed people/multi-gen mixed family. I'm mixed as well but black american with euro american mother, I had heard from other mixed people that have an African parent that usually when they go to say Nigeria they're considered white.
You're considered mixed or we say half caste in West Africa (in Southern Africa they say coloured) which is what you are. We don't ascribe to the American ideology of the one drop rule. But even in the UK, if you're mixed you're biracial not black
