When Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid in 2009, Real had finished 2nd in La Liga (9 points behind Barca) the season prior which included a 6-2 humiliation by Barca at the Bernabeu and were humiliated by Liverpool in the UCL round of 16, they were knocked out in the round of 16 for 5 straight seasons in a row at that time. Man United were more popular than Real Madrid then and had won 3 PL titles in a row and reached 2 UCL finals in a row and won the UCL in 2008. Despite Man United being more successful and the emergence of a very strong Barca side, Ronaldo was ready to take the challenge and joined Real Madrid and the rest is history.

So many Madrid players that have made their legacy at the club that have also said that exact same exact thing, dropped everything to join when the offer came by. Mbappe though came in with high demands and "maybes" and played both PSG and Madrid like complete fools to the very end. He is the one that really came on top of everyone else. Also we need to improve the squad, Modric has done miracles but both him and Kroos will decline next year, Carvahal too. Kimmich or Salah would probably improve Real as a whole more in the coming 3-4 season, and they would probably cost the same as Mbappe combined, which is absolutely crazy.

What gab was told was true. Its kinda weird decision. If you look at rudiger point, he was waiting the renewal from August-February but still no contract, so he already late for renew . From mbappe point, psg wanting to renew his contract since last year, but still he cannot make his decision till now. This problem about all this is not about both club, but his altitude. He think he is better than messi and Ronaldo. His trying to playing games with name of real madrid. But we all know what happen when someone plays with florentino. That guy is crazy. His leading biggest club on the planet. Mbappe is nothing for him.

As a fan of Madrid I think him not going to Madrid is the best thing because since we signed some big names in recent times one is leaving this season that didn't work out what we need is two young players that has the quality and work rate of a modric and kroos and one number nine with a killer instinct that can be better or same as benzema to help them to rest some match or be a sub for them and Carlo to stay for three more seasons and retire then with champion 🏆 league every year

Haaland moves to ManC & Mbappe stays at PSG. These two clubs are without a UCL trophy. Two of the most talented young footballers in the world are not too hungry for trophies by joining a successful club with trophies, but they have chosen a club with a serious project that is hunting to win the UCL trophy for the first time. Mbappe wants to bring the champions home and be the king. PSG winning their first champions league with Mbappe as their leader . That some heroic stuff . Even 2 champions at Real Madrid is not worth being the leader when psg wins their first champions league . Besides he has Messi and Neymar literally take a step back from scoring making a playmaker for him

I would hope Mbappe staying takes PSG to the next level (Man. City too with Haaland) of becoming an actual European heavyweight by winning in Europe. Real Madrid are illustrious largely because of their huge level of success in European football, so I'm thinking if Mbappe/Haaland can't take PSG/City to the pinnacle at least twice in their time at the respective clubs, then the move would largely not have been worth it.
