It sounds like his job is to pull security at the landing zone when the helicopter lands to pick up wounded.
If you are unfamiliar with the concept, then the super simple explanation is, he and his friends will jump out of the helicopter when it lands and surround it to provide 360 degrees of protection. Then jump back in just before the helicopter takes off. I am sure there is a lot more to it and each military force and even unit will have their own way of doing things, but that is the bare bones.

One suggestion: hurry up and get rid of those browning hi powers. Lol it’s funny the CAF makes its members use those for defence. Kinda expect better equipment than that. Our procurement system is wack, other nations get stuff they need within a year, everything is replaced, in Canada, there’s a 30 years phase in plan that involves a 20 year extra allocation to negotiation and planning. (Exaggerated but pretty much)

Dylan James2020 No military can confine their role to being solely peacekeepers. The military needs to be ready to defend the nation and deploy on short notice to a war zone. Although we have a good history of peacekeeping, that is a component of what a military should be capable of doing. Even during peacekeeping operations, most of the equipment and weapons are still in play and being used for duty purposes. So they still must have good, reliable stuff.
