Fate of Nations is one of my all-time favorite Plant albums. It's a masterpiece.
Back in the day, in 1993, with all the "grunge" around, the one and only Robert Plant knew pretty well what to say to the world. "Fate Of Nations" has a strong message both musically and lyrically... a real master piece with few airplay those days. I feel proud I played this song (as well as "I Believe" and "29 Palms"), constantly in my radio show...

Fate of nations is the most beautiful album. until today, this album has been a safe haven in the repertoire of my good hopes. I thank Robert and all those who were involved with this masterpiece. God bless you all.
Is it me, or did this album seem to be, well, extensively long. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see him on this tour, (I did see him on Now and Zen and Manic Nirvana, great memories). I remember when it came out, it seemed to be quite extensive, not that I'm complaining!

@@mariepaul2756 Didn't know Plant at the time, although I knew songs from Led Zep and his solo career. No Quarter Unledded released the following year is what really got me into Led Zep and Robert Plant. I couldn't believe all the hidden gems from Led Zep i'd never heard on the radio.
This is fab! Has a Led Zeppelin type sound mixed with middle eastern undertones. Reminds me of Kashmir or In The Evening. I love it!

I kind of always thought of it almost like a spiritual successor to Kashmir. And kind of think of Most High as the spiritual successor to this one.

Thru the years Robert Plant did many great solo albums.When the Fate Of Nation Album came out,he did a tour and I had a chance to see a show with his band and it was brilliant.He has a brilliant mind and his lyrics are exellent that started with Zep and went on with his solo work.Calling to you says more than 1000 words ! I absolutely LOVE this song. The drummer on it "Pete Thompson" is a friend of mine. I just directed a music video for him called "One Week Away". He has a great pocket on them drums and of course Robert and the rest of the band are phenomenal!!!
But, in the video, it is Michael Lee on drums, who went on to tour with Robert and play in Page & Plant later on...

I won 2 tickets in Vegas 1990 to see Robert on Halloween in L.A. as you can imagine, I was so excited! My favorite of all time --still is! Sadly tho, I was unable to go because I got injured because of my Hemophilia. Talk about going from extreme gladness to extreme sadness! A rollercoaster I couldn't get off! I've always wanted to meet The Mighty Rearranger but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Keep up the great work Robert! Did you ever think about releasing a Live album?
