This is probably one of the most straightforward tutorials I've ever gotten on GMod period. Really handy for someone like me, and because of how often other ones I just kinda struggle to understand.
6:30, you can raise the values beyond the maximum limit of a slider by clicking on the numbers located to the right of the slider. To set a higher value for the stache, click on the number next to the slider and type in a higher number.
To achieve the SMG4 effect, changing the flex scale is not necessary.

6:33 To answer your question, I think smg4 just types the numbers in manually to the mustache scale.
You know, if you want to exaggerate a certain part of the face, you need to put the Flex scale at 2.00, and make sure you keep certain flexes at 0.50 and exaggerate others with 1.00 on other facial flexes, 2.00 flex scale Doubles the facial flexes. (Also 3.00 triple the flexes, so have them at 0.25.)

or you can just use the multiple stache scales and increase them all

6:31 you can type a number in the scale options, for example, you can type "10" at the mustache scale even though the slider only lets you go up to 3

If you want to exaggerate a specific thing, you have to move only that and then you can do it. Nothing else can move. It’s weird I don’t know how to explain it.

Why not just use sfm at this point? Everything you need would be included in the program itself. It would also be faster and more reliable than posing a ragdoll in gmod.

To exagerate the moustache, SMG4 just click on the moustache variable and add a ton of zero manually

can somebody help me, when i right click mario with the ragdoll rotater thingy it shows all the other options but stand pose doesnt pop up and im trying to make mario tpose but the stand pose option doesnt show up pls help me!

I’m having a problem with the gravity gun and the physics gun when I select them i just have a hand and no gun, I looked into it and it said right click in steam on Garry's mod go to local files, which is now installed files and then verify integrity of game files, I did that and restarted Garry’s mod but still it is either just a hand for the physics gun and a glowing hand for the gravity gun, why is this and is there a fix it to get the gun to appear again as targeting certain parts of a mannequin/ Rag Doll may be difficult now, any help on how to fix this would be great? Cheers. Also when I try and move the ragdoll it doesnt move the arrows move but the ragdoll stays in place, I'm using a windows 11 GTX 1070 Gcard, 16gig ram and i7 processor why is this happening?

How do you get the maps and the ragdolls?
look in the description, it will take you to the addons used in this video. You can get other addons by going to the Gmod workshop on Steam.
some of the links aren't working. I can't get 2 of the main stuff and 1 of the smg4 stuff. I'm assuming that I can't get the showgrounds for smg4, but idk what the other is.
Sad to say, Nintendo deleted all nintendo-related content on gmod workshop. You could try finding reuploads though.

go to options and make sure the key mapped to opening the console is the one you want.
I set it to the same key that you set it to, but that didn’t change anything. Maybe I’ll make a video so you can see what my problem is

unless something is wrong about your game while playing it i.e. an addon not working properly, then no.

A very bendable game. Let me elaborate, first of machinimas (animated movies within a video game) are very easy to do with the tools that GMOD provides. Secondly other games valve has created before GMOD released are able to be ran within gmod like HL2 allowing you to use mods within the game. There's a lot more possible within this game that's hard to explain

Ok so update here (considering the nintendo garry's mod drama and this video being outdated a bit by now)
Nintendo took down ALL of the mario related ragdolls, so I tried visiting the enhanced super mario ragdoll link and there is an error
ALSO if you search up mario, there is a few mario related stuff, but those are gonna be deleted too so pretty much if you try and make video's using this tutorial and want mario, sadly it's impossible.
If there is an update to this drama where the ragdolls suddenly come back, please reply
