Ghost stations in the Berlin metro

  • These stations appeared on the Berlin metro almost simultaneously with the Berlin Wall. The wall became a symbol of the Cold War. The ghost stations were simply forgotten, although they were also a big hindrance in the lives of the townspeople. This story deserves to be remembered.

    Wow cool. Thank you for sharing. I have never been there, but was looking into the history and spy layer. Kryptos sculpture layer. Light side virtical underground alley X. U-bhan Alexander plats and also to Rosa Luxemburg for another part.

    Your film footage is at times all over the place. You showed one of those double-deck trains, fact is that they were only running in Berlin till after unification.
    You also failed to mention that the yellow trains were and are the U-Bahn (Unterground or Underground)and belonged to West-Berlin. The two coloured trains were and are the S-Bahn (Stadt or suburban) and used to belong to the GDR.
    The U-Bahn is now property of the State of Berlin and the S-Bahn belongs to the Bundesbahn or which is owned by the Federal German Government
