- To delete a custom menu:
1. Preferences Menu - Enable Customize
2. Drag your custom menu to a dock (left or right)
3. Ctrl+alt click the menu name
4. Delete your menu title to delete the menu completely

@Michael Quick good tutorial Thanks! Wants to add on this - you can rearrange the SubPallete by holding ctrl + alt then press right click on it which will send it on the top.

I would like to ask you, is there an option in ZBrush to have BackfaceMask enabled by default for all Brushes? Or can this be saved somewhere in Brushes?
I have 98% of my Brushes that need BackfaceMask and only a very few that don't, but it's tedious and sometimes annoying to have to turn it on all the time, every time...
I can`t seem to be able to move a sub-menu, only full menus or buttons, any help?
Every time I open a project and click no on the prompt I erase what I just sculpted can you please remove the project file save system it is really really setting me back its been setting me back for years

Hey Mike, how do we TRANSFER these custom menus to another computer or version of Zbrush?
Thanks for the great video, but I have a problem : my custom ui disappears everytime I restart zbrush, and it doesn't even return after Restore Custom UI. (I made sure I store config) Do you have any solutions?
try saving the config to a file and then loading it

I do have a question however, I created a menu that I no longer need, how do I delete it?
You can hold CTRL + ALT and drag the interface item to the canvas/edit window to remove it from your custom interface.

@@MossyMos That works for single items, but how do you delete a whole custom menu. Let's say you accidenly made a custom menu with the name "preferences". Now you have 2 preferences up there. And if you assign a hotkey to it, the hotkey is confused between the main preferences and the custom one. How do you delete the custom "preferences" palette?
@@billyblanks7302 Ya man, the great PG told me to remove all items from it. Then press ctr and alt, and it goes away. I think that was what it was.

i have a quesion.. is there a way to create unclickable buttons as titles inside SubPalette like it is done inside decimation master SubPalette? the reason for this is i dont want to create multiple subpalettes and reopen and close them every time, but i want to see which section is representing for example dynamesh or zremesher.
sure...how to do that in ZBrush without getting into ZScripting I'm not certain though, you'd have to dig through the scripting documentation to see exactly how to do it I think

I'm new in zbrush, it doesn't work on mine, I hold ctrl+alt but it's just turn into mask tool and can't drag the brush...
it's because you have not "enable customise mode" on. look at 1:32

Hey Michael, Great videos! I'm new to zbrush and they help alot. I was wondering if there is a way to edit the pop-up menu that appears when you press the spacebar. I haven't been able to find a way to do it so I tried to assign the spacebar hotkey to a custome menu I made but it reverts back to the default pop-up.
hrm...I don't know where you would find the spacebar menu in order to customize it. You could recreate an approximation, but yeah as far as I know the spacebar menu is here to stay as-is

Hii , Thanks for this amazing info . i wanted to know if i can create a hotkey or a button to open my subtools in a floating window so i can hide unhide any subtools i want . my screen size is not very big so i like to work with trays and all menus off but this is the only thing that i could not figure out . it would be a great if you can suggest me . thank you .
hitting the "n" key on your keyboard pulls up the subtool window that behaves like the brush window (complete with letter-narrowing)

I have created my custom menus however I do not use some of them right now and I would like to remove them from top menu bar. Is any way to do it or in order to do so i need to create fresh custom menu for whole lot all over again ?

To delete the custom menu you just delete de name, let it blank and zbrush will delete it
