What I love about the first episode is that because his brother said "I want to spend time with my brother", he finally understood that if you can't stop fate, the most you can do is enjoy the time you have together, which is the most important part of life. In the end, his "exit strategy" was to simply enjoy the time left until the moment fate had already planned to take him. That acceptance and fully living in each moment was the main lesson he needed to learn.
Beautifully said
💚🧡💛
I found it strange that after proving he could time travel his brother was mad that his life was saved from one fire, instead of being happy he could continue on fighting more fires.
@@billyjoejimbob75 why? He doesn't care about his life as long as he takes the chance to save others they (fire fighters) all know there's a chance they could die
actually, everybody dies, and everyone knows it..
The first movie, Exit Strategy, has some really good acting in it! Superb acting by the brothers!
some of these Dust films are just masterpieces. "Exit Strategy", wow!
It's very believable
Classic British horror. Absolutely no gore but terrifying
ok. exit strategy made me cry. as one who experienced 3 deaths in the past month by loved ones, it really hit home. we have to cherish every minute we have with them, because as time writes it no one can change it. very moving and awesome concept.
I have the exact sentiment as you. My brother died last May, and there would be so many times that he would call me, just to talk, but there were times he had drank way too much and I would be so annoyed with him. I should've spent more time talking to him. It truly is a painful feeling wanting to talk to someone who is no longer with us.
this was fun. I liked the dating one was how she was so certain of what she wanted and was finally able to articulate it for him that he stuck around.
Lesson learned, if you time travel to prevent an event that made you want to time travel in the first place, you can't prevent it. You show that once again in an amazingly good film. thanks
Toldya "Time not important, only Life important". 📚🕴📖
But why would he be given the power to time travel if he wasn't meant to save him? To spend time with him? Eh.
@@shaungerald23 I don't mean to be a smartass, but...
if you wanted to undo an event that caused you to build a time machine, which you then use to travel back to undo that event, you would erase the reason for building the time machine and never build it.
As long as nobody builds a real time machine, nobody can check it.
@@Andreas.Pfisterer It was never really explained if he "built" a time machine or if he somehow was able to just time travel. Was it insinuated?
@@shaungerald23 At minute 10:33 he says ... I created a time loop
That 3rd one . . . I've actually met a girl much like the character portrayed, without any parallel universe events. She would go off into imagined tangents of intricate complexity, woven into a fabric of presumed future history and stereotypical personality templates, without having even the remotest sense of who I was as an actual person of the moment. It was fascinating in a way, but eventually the novelty wore out . . . 'till the next someone tried to jump through those hoops.
Hm, every girl I meet does the same. It is just a girl thing I presume at this point.
Sounds like ADHD to me (rather than a 'girl' thing as Bonel suggested).
@@shoelacedonkey
Yeah. Non-neurotypical ADHD and autistism spectrum.
We're fun once you really *get* our full-on intense weirdness.
8:45 I like how the brother blames the "nerd" for the throw because he himself just chucked it straight at his head nowhere close to his hand, lol.
The hardest part of this for me is when the brother dies in the forrest from falling over to get the keys, there is a mosquito on his nose feeding... and the actor has to just pretend it isn't. How frustrating!
The mini-movies are brilliant. Why can't big budget films reach this standard?
You know, I normally skip pass these collections, but I'm glad I didn't. I really enjoyed all of them.
I liked the creepiness of the second episode. Who knew a simple overhead light and a light switch could generate so much suspense? Lesson learned -- don't visit North Yorkshire.
Filmed in Bradford actually, that's why they have Wessie accents.
When my battery is dead .... Not even a click click click. 😆 when it's time ..... It's time.
Exit strategy - loved it really well done.
I've seen all of these several times now and they're all good films. I'd have to say the first one is my favorite.
As weird as the brother is in the first episode he has so much love for his brother! to see so much love with out actual emotion is even more striking to me! This could be a longer movie
Wow. For a pistol to fire twice with a hand around the slide is damn impressive, true workmanship.
Wow! You really nit-picking the hell out of that, didn't ya?
@@randhirparbhunath8843 it's true, most guns would have failed to properly cycle. Every sci-fi is allowed 2 impossible things, so there is no problem with it, but IRL grabbing the slid is one of the best things you can do to only get shot/shot at once. Expect your hand to be lacerated open.
@@hicknopunk I'm not saying that you are wrong, infact I'd love to see you take on the fast and furious franchise.😁
I thoroughly enjoyed the flix!
I have seen two of them before.
The two in the middle.
Thank you DUST!
+Durasaxon+ ✝️
I love a good time travel/time loop movie 👍
Engine was turning over fine...the battery was not at all dead...and yes, too much time on my hands hahaha!
I’ve always loved this one. Superb acting and plot!
thats not what a dead battery sounds like.
Bad starter motor. But he's not s car guy so to him it's a bad battery. Lol.
@@shamim-dhulumakhapotherbake 😂
What happened to the click and it since I dead now dummy!
Instead of feebly crawling towards a desert mirage groaning "water, water" as we might do, a nearly dead battery sends weak pulses out through its terminals and murmurs "kilowatts, kilowatts"...
Clack!!!!!then.....silence....
His battery is full charged,but.....at what of these times.....
First one was awesome, there needs to be a good show made about a time loop… maybe there is 👀
Very well done, thank you. Great idea on an old story. Acting and sets perfect.
Charming. Cohesive. Captivating. Thank you.
What a wonderful short (the first episode), with captivating dialogue packed and engaging...and the 'man proposes, god disposes' factoid pulling us out of fantasy orbit
in 1895 H. G. Wells published "The Time Machine". all the decades later the premise still holds, the question still unanswered. fate vs happenstance.
thanks for the upload. you know how to find them. you know how to pick em
👍✌
Best short film i have seen in quite a while.
3:04 Continuity error. That is not how a starter sounds when a battery is dead.
Not everyone knows that, so it’s still feasible.
Haha Yep, would’ve been more realistic to give no sound.
No one gets out of here alive, your best exit strategy is to use the time you do have to the fullest and in the most enriching and productive ways possible, for yourself and the ones you love. As far as anyone knows, there are no do-overs so try not to collect regrets.
At 11:11 the broken infinity ♾️ symbol in leaves on the stump was brilliant.
For those who are looking for this "symbol", it's actually just a bent blade of long grass directly in front of the stump, at the bottom of the frame. It's located immediately to the right of the CZcams time counter. It only vaguely resembles an infinity symbol and is purely coincidental. Sorry... no brilliancy here.
I have a brother, thankfully. This made me cry. I can't imagine what it would be like to be in that situation of the first one, except, I can. So on the third one, she does most of the stalling, almost all of the equivocating, but he's the uncommitted one? Dude, figure it out and just walk away.
this is so well done, I just love it
I like this. It shows you can't escape fate. It's going to happen whether you like it or not. Just enjoy what time you have.
I realy like this one, space & time.
The first was a good movie about the brothers. A better take on fate than the Final Destination movies.
best one for me so far thank you
All the dudes who came here to point out that engines don't turn over with a dead battery and saying nothing about the massive amount of thought-provoking, high-production quality, top notch storytelling and even acting here lol
The second and fourth episodes were like... a ruined orgasm. All this build-up, and then no payoff.
With greater knowledge comes greater responsibility and less control. Fate is fate. We don't know when our time here is done so we must enjoy all the time while we are here. Each moment is a blessing. Be blessed
Really good. About loss. Beautiful ❤️
The last video we see him set the timer forward 3 minutes. Then, he re-calibrated it. I wonder how far into the future he programmed it. Really like this one.
@@bingo99501 Great answer!
Dude had some university degree, is a writer, but goes back 10 times and is surprised that the same happens over and over again? wtf? Could not figure out that the device might be controllable?? Such a stupid script!
@@Sonnell Every time he entered the fridge, it was set to go 3 minutes back in time. He realizes going back for only 3 minutes wasn't helping him. Then, he notices the machine can go forward 3 minutes, but he doesn't think 3 mins. is worth while, so he re-adjusts it. Unfortunately, we don't see how far into the future he set it. God knows where and when he went.
@@zethraelofteldrassil3149 I understood all these before I wrote my comment. Trying the same thing over and over with the same outcome is the definition of being crazy. And stupid.
@@zethraelofteldrassil3149 I'm not sure there's a "where" involved here. We don't see a setting for location -- only forwards or backwards in time. I'm assuming the device is triggered when someone closes the fridge door. But as there was nobody inside when he opened the door, I guess whoever sent the fridge to that moment didn't go along for the ride.
I loved the first one!!
I love it when people that writes movies don't know a thing about cars or bikes...Like when your battery is dead the car still turns over? Nice. Hey, maybe it was the starter.... oh wait the starter was working too.... It was the muffler bearings !
Thanks!
The whiplash, cliff face endings are torture!!!
lol...the light switch of terror
Dead batteries won't crank the starter fast enough to start a vehicle, or crank at all.
This was excellent. I love all the episodes!
Exit Strategy. Immediately recognized the story idea from Edge of Tomorrow.
*BUT* it was so well done with original moments that it worked.
Clear message.
Well shot.
Nicely acted.
Well directed.
Good lighting.
Simple story.
Travis Bible and team should be commended.
If you're perusing the comments Travis, and I bet you are (I would be) I have _many_ questions.
@2:59 I love Sci-Fi of almost any type! HOWEVER, it's already hard enough "FOR ME" to "suspend-disbelief" without painfully-glaring elements occurring that only require the simplest and most BASIC KNOWLEDGE of life to avoid/prevent. Take for example: Someone saying; "Your battery is dead", person gets in and it cranks over just fine, and yet... acts as if the "battery is dead statement" is accurate/valid.....
i think someone added the wrong sound effect in post lol
All good actors in this including the waitress etc .. loved it 💙
I enjoyed every minute if these. Thank you A!l
Savor the moment and love those you care about while you can. Maranatha
Saw the first one already, months ago, and I remember that at that time, I commented that a car's starter motor wouldn't turn if the battery was dead, too...
Great plot!
Exit Strategy hits a man's man it does.
In the first story, "Exit Strategy," the director fucked up with the "dead battery" in the brother's vehicle. He turned the key and the engine turned over. Dead batteries can't turn engines over. Somebody on the production team should have noticed that. Probably the guy that wrangled the vehicles in the first place.
Who ever came up with Groundhog Day, should have put a $1 patent on the idea. He would be a rich person by now.
When you can't afford a TARDIS, you can always rig up a mini fridge.
Exit Strategy brought a tear to my eye. Shared it with my brother. Click made me anxious. They should have run for an adult after the first kid. The dating one just irritated me. But that's probably why I'm single. I don't get the last one at all.
"Click" was well made and the child actors did great. Even without subtitles and missing a few words here and there, it was very watchable and maybe even the lack of complete understanding of the dialogue gave it more of a nightmarish fever dream quality.
It did finish with no explanation at all, as these horror shorts very often do, but can be enjoyed for what it was. Suspension of disbelief needed, both for the reactions of the kids after the first one vanished, and for the paranormal activity too of course.
Lembach Good takes on all. Exit Strategy was excellent.
The last one was shot in a day looks like, but well acted. A time machine pops up. He uses it after going round and round for a while. But where does he go? Hmm....
Happy 2023 dust ✊
Need English subtitle for hearing impaired, please
I knew I saw this one before. The first one.
Really good.
The actress in the 3rd film was great.
Bravo
Algo getting smarter. I like Dust.
That battery wasn't dead. The engine wouldn't turn over if it was...ha!...😉
A well thought out version of "final Destination". Very well done.
Click was class. Congratulations to all involved.
Yes Click was good but I'd say it was more in the mystery genre or ghost stuff, not sci-fi.
@@annemckeon6532 agreed, definitely more horror and suspense than sci-fi. Although, I do like all three for my viewing pleasure.
@@edyak6280 "Click" was well made and the child actors did great. Even without subtitles and missing a few words here and there, it was very watchable and maybe even the lack of complete understanding of the dialogue gave it more of a nightmarish fever dream quality.

@@Albtraum_TDDC given the context of the other films presented and the title of the collection (Spacetime), I interpreted Click to be that the kids were perhaps transported back in time to when the building they were in was still in operation. My own imagination then fills in the idea that it was an orphanage or mental institution and the kids are now lost in a past forgotten tragedy.
However, without the context of the rest of the films, it would be more classic horror of a possessed building that is taking and consuming the children.
@@n003lb yeah, but I think we really have to judge it on its own merits, without prejudice. There's nothing about time travel in it. Not even a "deja vu" or glitches in the "Matrix". It's just a horror story, "copypasta" maybe.
Thank you for all the amazing videos. Never been 1st before...lol
Bad news, his car battery isn't dead, him being able to crank like that means something else is wrong.
Throwback?? I've seen this entire thing
Dust, as usual! 👌🙌👏👏
Cocoa Puffs mixed with Lucky Charms: that's called a Black Irishman or a Shaquille O'Neal
A compilation ….. of …
Good oldies.
Very good film not long enough
Battery is dead. Motor turns like a champ. Wish I had a dead battery like that.
WhatI learned from the first episode? Ignorance is bliss.
2:58 Why is the battery considered dead if it is turning the starter? The battery is obviously NOT DEAD.
That would be absolute Hell.
Now, this is a good short film. Lately, the recent ones left me either confused or sorry that I watched it.
I liked it a lot!!!
OH! The first one is not the only one. Well, I liked the first one a lot!
Like the film seen it befor several times love it
First one, the writer must be a fan of Supernatural. Shane and Matt are like Sam and Dean but sci-fi instead of ghosts and demons.
I love good sci fi

Not bad, first is the best. Enjoyed watching, I’ll give it a 3.5/5

I’m pretty good with the variety of English accents you come across in the UK. But in a short film like this I really could have used some subtitles for a few parts :)
Don't get me started on Irish accents lol.
I believe it's called cockney.
Yeah, I couldn't understand half of what they said. Cockney accent combined with speaking quickly and quietly isn't a good combo for us Americans. Luckily most of the dialog was pretty superfluous in that one.
