I love this! What an amazing tap dance performance! Funny too! But it’s also melancholy and a little sad. It’s the end of our world and the only things left of mankind are trivial little trinkets except for our gift of music. And the aliens discover it and understand the universal language. Can you imagine? And they find great joy in it. ❤
And the Voyager has that gold record on it and it does have music from around the world on it. Hopefully whomever finds it can figure out how to play it.
@@Kutil99 supposedly there's also a turntable and pictograms showing how to use it, or at least instructions how to build one.
I just hope they have air to transmit sound.
AMEN
I'm really hard to please regarding SciFi at this channel but THIS one, even though it's comedic, is FIVE STARS !!!
Thank You !
I am the same. They have WAY to many videos where they cut off the ending. Newsflash! I DONT WATCH SCI FY OR HORROR TO THINK! I DONT WANT TO "FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF". I watched to be entertained, not puzzled about why there wasnt an addition 4 or 5 minutes to provide an ending. There are a few with implied endings but I am not talking about those. Where yall seem to hit the mark EVERY time is your comedy videos. You have another that I really like (along with this oe) about two brothers going to their mothers funeral... I think it is called "Friendly Vampire" but not sure. I watched "Good Guy With A Gun" and it was truely both hilarious and horrifying. Keep pumping out the comedy AND GIVE US ENDINGS TO YOUR VIDEOS! Oh, and they dont always have to have some message behind them!
@@garyzimmerman62 Yeah, good point. Love the channel and their videos... but sometimes I'm left annoyed at the endings. I've liked most of the videos I've seen so far though.
@@garyzimmerman62 Your comment is the main reason I watched this short. 97% of the films on here are horrible, 1/2 written lazy, yet visually appealing films. If this one actually has a plot then I want to watch it.
EDIT: you were right, it had an actual story and was very good.
I was going to hollar out "I REMEMBER THIS ONE!" but then I realized it's Throwback Thursday and I'm still going to watch it.
I remember this one!
New to me, but I ceased subbing a year, or two ago, to come back. I am a sucker for tap dancing anyway.
Same 😁 such a good short ❤
I remember the first time this was put up. Halarious and poignant. And I think it takes a rare talent to put those two things together.
One of the most good and original sci-fi shorts I ever saw, quite frankly I am flabbergasted by this, the theme, the music, the message, the actors….wow !!!❤❤❤😂😂😂
I can't thank you enough for this throwback!!! It's one of my favorite episodes EVER!!!!!!
So THAT’S where my Amazon packages went!
The Blue Man Group took ‘em…
👊🤣👍
OMG! So true.
I love at the end of their routine they fall back laughing. Very nice tribute to "Good Morning"-Singin' in the Rain. Donald O'Connor, Debbie Reynolds and Gene Kelly.
This is brilliant! As said before by someone: If this doesn´t make you smile, what will?
Also FANTASTIC tappers. It was so crisp and isolated it sounded SO GOOD
They obviously speak Minion.
Great story! It must have been hard to find aliens that tap dance so well!
This is how me and my friends are when we're drunk off rum and vodka at 4:00 in the morning in the Taco Bell parking lot
I really don't know why, but this made me cry really hard. It was a bittersweet kind of feeling, to see the end of us, but our souls preserved within our music and art that was left behind, only to give joy to others who want to know who we were. It's hard to describe but this was such a beautiful and incredibly well done short film. The actors/dancers were just brilliant. Loved every minute of this!
Watched it countless times. Leaves me grinning. Every. Time. My single all time fave short
How could you NOT smile! Aliens got rhythm!
The final two minutes elevates this from good to superb. Perfect closing shot + song choice + piano rendition of said song.
Love this so much - the sheer joy if it !!
proof that the simplest things can be the best
I love this one as much this time as the first time I saw it. Definitely a great choice for Throwback Thursday!
What a smile I got out of this. Brilliant and well done.💯💯❤❤❤❤❤
I just fell in love with the fun! So great!
Oh man I remember this one...if this one doesn't make you smile...what a gem.
How fun! Probably due to my age, but I could definitely hear a Rod Serling epilogue in that last scene.
I love this I sent it to my Granddaughter, she took dance lessons for 12 years. She now helps at the same place she learned at.
This is definitely one I must put in my overall TOP 10 shorts I have watched. Now it is really tough to say what the other 9 are because I have seen so many shorts (has to be at least 300 plus) and I have seen a lot of very good ones. I also worked in the motion picture business (on the money end) for over 20 years Executive Producing films. But I don't care. This one is just an all-around exceptional short. Meets all the requirements! Also, I saw this one a couple years ago.
What are a few of your favorites?
I was waiting for them to be 'Rick Rolled' at the end!
Bravo! Absolutely Stunning concept. Very injoyable.
I just love how the aliens are fascinated by everyday things
The timing got so much better after the third guy joined in.
I LOVE this film! Makes me so sad at the end.
This is one of if not my favorite entry in the Dust collection 👍👍
Definitely beat SNL cone heads. 👍
Too funny I didn’t see your comment until after I posted mine One of my favorites to
Absolutely fantastic, for a short scifi it had great acting with a really good story line.
ok. this is BY FAR the BEST Dust movie I've ever seen.
I had so much fun watching this short film. I started watching this channel about a month ago and Iove the short films. I must admit some episodes leave me wondering "what the heck is going on?" but this particular one had me laughing so much.
Beautiful film less than 20 minutes. It's the end of the human adventure on Earth. A group of "alienologists" from another planet study our floating junk in the planet's orbit. Note how extraterrestrial scientists do not understand each other and are even harsh with each other. Until they collect an old Junke Box and a few pairs of dancing shoes. It's exciting! There is no need for subtitles or dubbing, as the only languages used are those of aliens, music and dance…
I watched this when it first posted and it still delights me! I can see this as an Off Broadway show.
Dance Vader? Star trek meets happy feet? Music is evidence of our civilisation
Loved this shorty. Definitely a fun film now one of my favorites
The choreography is wonderful, and I love the fact that the beginning could be described as "If Blue Man Group and the Minions had a baby...." ;)
I wasn't sure about this one. But the end sold me.
All right. With this, DUST has hit new heights of genius. And silliness.
Man the newest blender cgi app is pushing out no punches. 😬
Music...an universal language. Congrats for remind
One of my favorites. Thanks for showing it again. Don't need a lot of money and effects to to tell a great story and entertain.
LMAO at the tunage:
After You've Gone lyrics
After you've gone and left me cryin'
After you've gone, there's no denyin'
You'll feel blue, you'll feel sad
You'll miss the dearest pal you ever had
There'll come a time, now, don't forget it
There come a time when you'll you regret it
Someday, when you grow lonely
Your heart will break like mine and you'll want me only
After you've gone, after you've gone away
After I'm gone, after we break up
After I'm gone, you're gonna wake up
You will find that you were blind
To let somebody come and change your mind
After the years we've been together
Through joy and tears, all kinds of weather
Someday,blue and downhearted
You'll long to be with me right back were you started
After I'm gone, after I'm gone away
This is a masterpiece and ive watched it many times already. love it
I love this one! I’d like to see these aliens meet Dr. Who!
I'm curious as to the average age of the people who liked this is. I'm 48 and loved it after a slow start was thrilled to have stayed.
I'm 62 and loved it!
I bet you this was the first time an advert for actors in a sci-fi film included the phrase "must be able to tap dance".
My oh my, wouldn't it be nice if our species is remembered for music and dancing!!!!
Beautiful!
Just as good the second time around.
I love this film! It ALWAYS makes me smile!
One of the awesomest sci-fi shorts I've ever seen! I was thinking they're not going to go Danny Kay on me are they? They so did! And I guess Fred Astaire joins too! Absolutely spectacular old school with a 2023 twist! 40 years ago was sesame Street and martians discover radio! Look it up 🤓🙏
Martians discover radio. A classic. Meep meep meep!
Put this one into your SAVE list folks. I did the first time I watched it. I've watched it multiple times, and there will be many more times I'll watch it. But if you're going to pop it up in Throwback Thursday, well, heck I watched it again!
What a pleasure this one is. I play it whenever I just need a feel good smile. Yes, the earth is in pieces, but part of us, a wonderful part, continues to give joy.
Absolutely wonderful!!!!!!! 💥💥💥
I love it!!!
Hands down the BEST one I've seen in the "Invasion" Playlist!!! Excellent and fun!
My all time favorite short on Dust.
Love it! When the human race destroys itself, may our music & art survive.
AWESOME!!!!!!!!
Just beautiful. Very well executed. The music was exactly where it needed to be. Very likeable characters.
Theatrical agent to client: So, they want three actors to play light blue aliens. Can you tap dance?
Thank you guys, i was happy to saw this movie
Потрясающе! Кто бы мог подумать, что ребята будут танцевать степ👍
That was awesome!😃🙌🏾 Gregory, Fred, and Ginger tapping in space👞👠
Just wait until they beam up a copy of Singing in the Rain.
I love how they sound just like the aliens from The Sims.
for a second there, i thought i was watching the Blueman group.
I have seen this before a few yrs. back and haven't seen it again till now. This is my most favorite ones of all and I'll save it and watch it again sometime. Love it! Thanks so Dust for bringing it back!😀
Wow what an excellent and unusual sci-fi video. Great stuff.
To be honest, while the tap dance was entertaining, I enjoyed the parts leading up to it more. I liked the interaction between the two males and how they seemed to be afraid of the smaller female. It was also fun seeing them try to figure out what common items were.
Excellent. Now we need to see some palaeontologists play xylophone on a triceratops’ rib cage…
Now I've seen it all ... tapdancing aliens!
One of the BEST! Thank you :)
I saw this years ago and it's one of the most entertaining short film that should have had a sequel, perfect choreography music acting its just amazing fun.
you can tell they had fun making it
I remember this from a while back. It was always one of my favorites, but I didn't know about DUST at the time.
Loved this one, still do!
I thought this was going to be another "Good riddance to humanity" story, but it's really the discovery of one of the joys of being human. Excellent!
how sweet it is, throwback day.
This is one of my fav DUST films!
Was a top 10 of mine when I saw it the first go round, and it still definitely is after all this time.
Never mind The Big Bang - it all started with The Big Swing!
This brought me real joy.
Thank you.
More of this please! 🎉
I saw this first maybe a year or two back. Still charming.
Perfectly awesome! Bravo!
And Jukebox said 'let there be dance', and on the seventh day saw Terra was good
The Blue Men will outlive us all.
Music is universal!
Wow, a beginning, middle and end. Thank you
8 billion humans tap dancing broke the Earth.
At least you can leave a good record of society for the next aliens that find you, whether terrestrial or extra-solar.
WHAT FUN TO WATCH...THANKS.
Wow, I never realized it was that easy to learn how to tap.
I don't know how many times I've watched this!!! I love everything about it!!!!!❤❤❤❤
cool
What did I even just watch?....If the cast and crew were not high AF while filming this I will be very disappointed.
How? How in the hecking way could anyone waste an opportunity for the best trip ever!!!???!!!! 😆
I loved this so so much, made me really nostalgic.
